Abstract
Description
撮像素子は、表示領域と重なる領域に配置され、照明ユニットは、表示領域と重なるように配置される光変調素子と、光変調素子を照明する光源とを含む。
Claims (10)
- 複数の画素が配列された表示領域を有する液晶表示パネルと、
前記液晶表示パネルの背面側に配置され、前記液晶表示パネルを通して前方を撮像する撮像素子と、
前記液晶表示パネルと前記撮像素子との間に配置された照明ユニットと、
を有し、
前記撮像素子は、前記表示領域と重なる領域に配置され、
前記照明ユニットは、前記表示領域と重なるように配置される光変調素子と、前記光変調素子を照明する光源と、を含むことを特徴とする電子機器。 - 前記光変調素子は、前記光源の出射光を前記液晶表示パネルの方向に散乱させる散乱状態と、前記撮像素子と重なる領域を透明にし、他の領域は散乱状態を維持する透過状態とに制御される、請求項1に記載の電子機器。
- 前記透過状態は、前記撮像素子の前方を部分的に透明にする部分的透過状態である、請求項2に記載の電子機器。
- 前記散乱状態のとき前記液晶表示パネルに映像を表示し、前記透過状態のとき前記液晶表示パネルは前記撮像素子と重なる領域で白表示を行い、前記撮像素子で撮像を行う、請求項2に記載の電子機器。
- 前記光変調素子は、高分子分散型液晶パネルである、請求項1に記載の電子機器。
- 前記液晶表示パネルの前記照明ユニット側に配置された第1反射型偏光板と、前記撮像素子と前記光変調素子との間に配置された第2反射型偏光板を有する、請求項1に記載の電子機器。
- 前記液晶表示パネルの前記第1反射型偏光板とは反対側の面に配置された透過型偏光板を有し、
前記第1反射型偏光板と前記透過型偏光板は透過偏光軸がクロスニコルに配置され、
前記第1反射型偏光板と前記第2反射型偏光板とは透過偏光軸が平行に配置されている、請求項6に記載の電子機器。 - 複数の画素が配列された表示領域を有する液晶表示パネルと、
前記液晶表示パネルと重ねて配置された照明ユニットと、
を有し、
前記照明ユニットは、前記表示領域と重なるように配置される光変調素子と、前記光変調素子を照明する光源と、を含み、
前記光変調素子は、前記表示領域と重なる領域で部分的に散乱状態と透過状態との制御が可能とされている、ことを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 前記光変調素子は、高分子分散型液晶パネルである、請求項8に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記液晶表示パネルの前記照明ユニット側に配置された第1反射型偏光板と、
前記照明ユニットの前記液晶表示パネルとは反対側に配置された、第2反射型偏光板と、
前記液晶表示パネルを挟んで前記第2反射型偏光板とは反対側の面に配置された透過型偏光板と、を有し、
前記第1反射型偏光板と前記透過型偏光板は透過偏光軸がクロスニコルに配置され、
前記第1反射型偏光板と前記第2反射型偏光板とは透過偏光軸が平行に配置されている、
請求項9に記載の液晶表示装置。
