Abstract
Description
図1に示す車両Cは、右前照灯1R、左前照灯1Lを有する。右前照灯1Rと左前照灯1Lは左右一対の車両用前照灯である。本実施形態においては、車両Cは右ハンドル仕様であり、運転席側である車両C右側に右前照灯1Rが、助手席側である車両C左側に左前照灯1Lが、それぞれ搭載されている。
次に、各光学ユニットについて説明する。
図形描画光学ユニットRMは、車両C前方に出射した光で所定の図形や配光を形成するよう構成されており、図5に示すように、光源21と、反射光学部材22と、投影レンズ23と、光偏向装置24と、光吸収部材25とを備える。光源21および光偏向装置24は支持部材16に取付けられ、残りの各部は図示しない支持部材によって支持部材16に取付けられる。
光偏向装置24について、詳しく説明する。
配光可変型光学ユニットADBは、車両Cの運転状況や周辺の状態に適応させて可変ハイビーム配光を形成するよう構成されており、図7に示すように、回転リフレクター31と、光源32と、回転リフレクター31の前方に配置された投影レンズ33とを備える。各部は図示しない固定部材によって支持部材16に取付けられる。
次に、図10を用いて、左前照灯1Lおよび右前照灯1Rの制御装置の構成を説明する。制御装置56は、ハードウェア構成としてはコンピューターのCPUやメモリとをはじめとする素子や回路で構成され、ソフトウェア構成としては、コンピュータープログラム等によって実現される。メモリに記憶された制御プログラムをCPUにおいて実行し、各種制御信号を生成する。
上記構成からなる、右前照灯1Rおよび左前照灯1Lによって形成される配光および路面描画について説明する。
配光可変型光学ユニットADBの照射範囲PADBは、左右方向においては、中央(鉛直軸)からやや右寄り、即ち運転席寄りに定められている。ハイビーム配光を担う照射範囲PADBが鉛直軸に対して左右均等に配置されると、車両Cの左側に山肌や高速道路の防護壁等の壁が存在した場合、その壁が明るすぎとなり、相対的に対向車線側が暗くなり、ドライバーの目を疲れさせる。本実施形態のように、配光可変型光学ユニットADBの光軸(照射範囲PADB)を運転席側に寄せることで、全体として均等な明るさになり、ドライバーの目の負担が軽減される。

- それぞれ灯室に複数の光学ユニットを備えた左右一対の車両用前照灯であって、
助手席側の車両用前照灯には、ハイビームの配光態様を、車両の周囲の状態や走行状態に応じて可変とする配光可変型光学ユニットが配置され、
運転席側の車両用前照灯には、出射した光により車両前方の路面に所望の図形を形成可能な図形描画光学ユニットが、前記配光型可変光学ユニットと対称となる位置に配置される、
ことを特徴とする車両用前照灯。 - 前記複数の光学ユニットの配置は左右の車両用前照灯で対称である、
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車両用前照灯。 - 前記図形描画光学ユニットの光軸は、仮想スクリーンの水平軸よりも下向きに設定され、前記配光可変型光学ユニットの光軸は、前記仮想スクリーンの水平軸よりも上向きに設定される、
ことを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2に記載の車両用前照灯。 - 前記図形描画光学ユニットの光軸は、前記仮想スクリーンの鉛直軸上に設定され、
前記配光可変型光学ユニットの光軸は、前記仮想スクリーンの鉛直軸よりも運転席側に向けて設定される、
ことを特徴とする請求項1〜請求項3のいずれかに記載の車両用前照灯。 - 前記図形描画光学ユニット及び前記配光可変型光学ユニットは、マトリックス状に配置された複数の反射素子が表面に設けられた反射装置であり、前記反射素子は個別に入射した光を選択的に反射可能である、
ことを特徴とする請求項1〜請求項4のいずれかに記載の車両用前照灯。 - 前記図形描画光学ユニットの反射素子の数は、前記配光可変型光学ユニットの反射素子の数よりも多い、
ことを特徴とする請求項5に記載の車両用前照灯。 - 前記図形描画光学ユニットの前記仮想スクリーンの照射範囲は、前記可変配光型光学ユニットの前記仮想スクリーンの照射範囲より狭くなるよう構成されている、
ことを特徴とする請求項5または請求項6に記載の車両用前照灯。 - 前記図形描画光学ユニットによって前記仮想スクリーンに形成される図形は、前記可変配光型光学ユニットによって前記仮想スクリーンに形成される図形よりも輝度が高い、
ことを特徴とする請求項5〜請求項7のいずれかに記載の車両用前照灯。 - 前記図形描画光学ユニットを構成する光源の輝度が、前記配光可変型光学ユニットを構成する光源の輝度よりも高くよう構成されている、
ことを特徴とする請求項1〜請求項8のいずれかに記載の車両用前照灯。 - 前記助手席側の車両用前照灯および前記運転席側の車両用前照灯にはそれぞれ、ロービーム配光パターンを形成するロービーム配光用光学ユニット、およびハイビーム配光パターンを形成する第2の配光可変型光学ユニットが更に配置されている、
ことを特徴とする請求項1〜請求項9に記載の車両用前照灯。
