Abstract
Description
また、発明者は、様々な実験やシミュレーションを行った結果、以下の知見を新たに得た。
・気筒内での燃料の着火性が低いほど予混合燃焼速度が低いこと。
ここで、更に発明者は以下の知見も得ている。
・拡散燃焼と予混合燃焼とが混在する領域での機関運転時では、気筒内での燃料の着火遅れが長くなるほど、拡散燃焼及び予混合燃焼のうち予混合燃焼が占める割合が大きくなり、その結果、燃焼騒音が大きくなること。
なお、気筒内の燃料分圧が高いほど気筒内における燃料の着火性が高くなりやすい。すなわち、気筒内の燃料分圧は、上記パラメータの一例である。そこで、目標算出部は、気筒内の燃料分圧が高いほど気筒内における燃料の着火性が高いと推定するようにしてもよい。
図1には、本実施形態の制御装置60と、制御装置60によって制御される内燃機関10とが図示されている。内燃機関10は、圧縮自着火式の内燃機関である。内燃機関10は、複数の気筒11と、排気駆動式の過給器12とを備えている。内燃機関10の吸気通路21には、空気の流れ方向における上流から順に、エアクリーナ22、過給器12のコンプレッサ13、インタークーラ23及びスロットルバルブ24が配置されている。吸気通路21では、エアクリーナ22によって濾過された空気がコンプレッサ13に内蔵されているコンプレッサホイール13aによって圧縮された状態で送り出される。このように圧縮された空気は、インタークーラ23によって冷却される。そして、吸気通路21を介して気筒11内に導入される空気の量である吸入空気量は、スロットルバルブ24の開度の制御を通じて調整される。
制御装置60は、機能部として、弁制御部61と、指標算出部62と、目標算出部63とを有している。
また、メイン噴射の開始時における気筒11内の温度「T」は、吸気温Thimや水温Thwを基に推定することができる。もちろん、気筒11内の温度を検出するセンサが設けられている場合、当該センサの検出値を気筒11内の温度「T」として採用してもよい。
図4には、予混合燃焼速度と、気筒11内での燃料の燃焼に起因する騒音である燃焼騒音の大きさとの関係が図示されている。図4に示すように、予混合燃焼速度が高いほど、燃焼騒音が大きくなる。これは、予混合燃焼速度が高いほど、火炎が気筒11内に一気に広がるためである。気筒11内で火炎が広がる速度が高いほど、燃焼騒音が大きくなりやすい。
上記実施形態は、以下のように変更して実施することができる。上記実施形態及び以下の変更例は、技術的に矛盾しない範囲で互いに組み合わせて実施することができる。
Claims (6)
- 気筒内に燃料を噴射する燃料噴射弁を備えた圧縮自着火式の内燃機関に適用され、
前記燃料噴射弁にパイロット噴射を行わせ、その後に前記燃料噴射弁にメイン噴射を行わせる内燃機関の制御装置であって、
前記メイン噴射によって前記気筒内に噴射された燃料の着火遅れと着火遅れの目標である着火遅れ目標値との乖離が小さくなるように、前記燃料噴射弁を制御する弁制御部と、
拡散燃焼と予混合燃焼とが混在する領域での機関運転時には、前記気筒内における燃料の着火性を変化させるパラメータを基に推定される前記気筒内における燃料の着火性が高いほど前記着火遅れ目標値が小さくなるように、当該着火遅れ目標値を算出する目標算出部と、を備える
内燃機関の制御装置。 - 前記目標算出部は、前記パラメータである前記気筒内の燃料分圧が高いほど前記気筒内における燃料の着火性が高いと推定する
請求項1に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。 - 前記目標算出部は、前記パラメータである前記気筒内の酸素分圧が高いほど前記気筒内における燃料の着火性が高いと推定する
請求項1又は請求項2に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。 - 前記目標算出部は、前記パラメータである前記気筒内の温度が高いほど前記気筒内における燃料の着火性が高いと推定する
請求項1〜請求項3のうち何れか一項に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。 - 前記パラメータとしての前記気筒内の燃料分圧、前記気筒内の酸素分圧及び前記気筒内の温度を基に、燃料の着火性の指標を算出する指標算出部を備え、
前記目標算出部は、前記指標算出部によって算出された前記指標を基に、前記着火遅れ目標値を算出するようになっており、
「τ0」を前記指標とし、「Fuel」を前記気筒内の燃料分圧とし、「O2」を前記気筒内の酸素分圧とし、「T」を前記気筒内の温度とし、「M(T)」を前記気筒内の温度を変数とする関数とし、「A」、「B」及び「C」をモデル定数とした場合、
前記指標算出部は、以下に示す式を用いて前記指標を算出する
- 前記弁制御部は、前記パイロット噴射での燃料噴射量、及び、前記パイロット噴射の開始時期の少なくとも一方を調整することにより、前記着火遅れを前記着火遅れ目標値に近づける
請求項1〜請求項5のうち何れか一項に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。
