Abstract
Description
本発明の要件は、アミン系浸出剤を準化学量論的な量で利用することにより原材料又は廃棄物からアルカリ土類を回収する、高効率半連続的湿式製錬システム、方法、及び組成物を提供する。容易に収集された不溶性の塩として所望の金属を沈殿させるプロセスにおいて浸出剤は再生され、そして再生された浸出剤は循環プロセスの後の反復回における使用のためにリサイクルされるか、連続プロセスにおいては反応器に返還される。
すなわち、本発明の概念の一つの実施形態は、下記工程、
容器に第1の抽出可能な材料及び第2の抽出可能な材料を含む一次原材料を導入する工程であって、ここで、前記第1の抽出可能な材料はアルカリ土類を含む、工程、
前記一次原材料をアミン含有浸出剤と接触させて反応混合物を生成させる工程であって、ここで、前記浸出剤は前記アルカリ土類と相対比較して準化学量論的な量で供される、工程、
容器中で、前記反応混合物を二酸化炭素と接触させてスラリーを形成する工程であって、ここで、前記スラリーは抽出された原材料及びアルカリ土類炭酸塩沈殿物を含み、そして前記抽出された原材料は前記一次原材料と相対比較して前記第2の抽出可能な材料が濃縮されている、工程、

第1の容器にアルカリ土類を含む原材料を導入する工程、前記原材料をアミン含有浸出剤と接触させて第1の反応混合物を生成させる工程であって、ここで、前記浸出剤は前記アルカリ土類と相対比較して準化学量論的な量で供される、工程、
第1の分離ユニットに前記第1の反応混合物を移し、抽出された原材料を含む第1の生成物流、及び溶媒和されたアルカリ土類を含む第2の生成物流を生成させる工程、

本発明者等は、有機アミンを包含する浸出剤の使用を介して、アルカリ土類族のメンバーのようなアルカリ土類元素(即ちアルカリ土類金属)の回収のための湿式製錬方法を発見した。本発明者等はそのようなアミン系浸出剤が二酸化炭素を用いて再生できると判定した。意外にもこの再生は、原材料からのアルカリ土類の抽出、及び、例えば炭酸塩の形態の抽出されたアルカリ土類の沈殿を、同じ反応器中で本質的に同時に行えるようにし、その際、生成した炭酸塩及び抽出された原材料の物理的特性の差により、単純な物理的手段による分離が可能となる。

二つの塩基性酸素溶鉱炉(BOF)スラグをこれらの実験における抽出可能なカルシウムの酸化物/水酸化物の原材料供給源として利用した。一つの試料はカナダのU.S.Steel Lake Erie Worksより入手した粉鉱よりなるものであり、もう一つはフィンランドのRuukki Metals Raahe Worksのスラグリサイクルプラントで発生した不良材料流に由来する試料であった。XRFで分析したこれらのスラグの組成を図14の表に示す。材料は屋外に保管されていたため、抽出前に900℃で3時間焼成することにより環境要因により既に炭酸化されている可能性のある全ての材料を減少させた。
異なるスラグ粒径画分からのカルシウムの抽出及び炭酸塩沈殿(実験1〜16)を、1工程及び2工程の方法の両方により検討した。図7Aによれば、最も大きいスラグ粒子(500から1000μm)について、比較したプロセス代替の収率は同等であった。1工程及び2工程のプロセスの両方について原材料粒径が減少するに従って収率は上昇したが、単工程プロセスの収率の上昇は両方の原材料について2工程プロセスの場合より劇的に高値であった。意外にも、図7Bに示す通り、小さい<53μmスラグ粒子を用いた1工程プロセスにおいては、炭酸塩収率は従来技術の2工程プロセスと比較してほぼ3倍となっていた(即ち2工程プロセスの収率の超過分がほぼ200%増大を示した)。中間的な粒径の場合、炭酸塩生成の増大は100〜150%であった。U.S.SteelのスラグとRuukkiのスラグは同様の傾向を示し、ある臨界的な粒径が存在し、それを超えると両方のプロセスは同様の炭酸塩収率をもたらすことが示唆された。
Claims (6)
- 下記工程、
第1の容器にアルカリ土類を含む原材料を導入する工程、
前記原材料をアミン含有浸出剤と接触させて第1の反応混合物を生成させる工程であって、ここで、前記浸出剤は前記アルカリ土類と相対比較して準化学量論的な量で供される、工程、
第1の分離ユニットに前記第1の反応混合物を移し、抽出された原材料を含む第1の生成物流、及び溶媒和されたアルカリ土類を含む第2の生成物流を生成させる工程、
第2の容器に前記第2の生成物流を移す工程、
前記溶媒和されたアルカリ土類を第2の容器中で二酸化炭素と接触させてアルカリ土類炭酸塩及び再生された浸出剤を含むスラリーを生成する工程、
前記スラリーを第2の分離ユニットに移し、前記アルカリ土類炭酸塩を含む第3の生成物流及び再生された浸出剤を含む第4の生成物流を生成させる工程、及び、
前記第4の生成物流の少なくとも一部分を前記第1の分離ユニットに移す工程、
を含むアルカリ土類炭酸塩の製造方法。 - 前記第1の生成物流の少なくとも一部分を前記第1の容器に移して返還する工程を更に含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第4の生成物流の少なくとも一部分を前記第1の容器に移す工程を更に含む請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 前記アルカリ土類炭酸塩を前記第2の分離ユニット中にある間に洗浄する工程を更に含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第2の分離ユニットが、濾過、沈降、遠心分離及び磁気分離からなる群から選択される分離方法を使用する請求項1に記載の方法。
- 連続方式で実施される請求項1に記載の方法。
