Description
また、近年には、このような利点のため、有機発光表示装置を車両内に適用することに対して要求が高まっている。
ここで、前記第2ホストのLUMO準位は前記第1ホストの最低空軌道(LUMO)準位より0.2eV〜0.5eV高いことが好ましい。
また、前記第2ホストは、アントラセンをコアとして含み、ジベンゾフランを末端基として含む化合物であってもよい。
前記第2ホストは下記化学式のいずれか一つの化合物を含められる。
前記第1及び第2青色発光層の厚さは150Å〜400Åであってもよい。
また、前記第2電極上にキャッピング層をさらに含められる。
そして、前記第3共通層は前記第2電極と接していることが好ましい。
また、前記第1〜第3領域のそれぞれにおいて第1赤色発光層、前記第1緑色発光層及び第1青色発光層の下面は前記第1共通層の上面と接してもよい。
前記第3共通層と前記第2電極の間に、第4共通層、発光構造及び第5共通層が積層された発光スタックをさらに含められる。
前記第1青色発光層及び第2青色発光層は、励起に関与する第1ホストと、電子輸送性の第2ホストと、青色ドーパントとを含められる。
前記第2ホストの最低空軌道(LUMO)準位は前記第1ホストのLUMO準位より0.2eV〜0.5eV高くできる。
また、前記第2ホストは、アントラセンをコアとして含み、末端基としてジベンゾフランを含む化合物であってもよい。
前記第2電極の上面に接したキャッピング層をさらに備えてもよい。
そして、前記キャッピング層上に光学フィルムをさらに含められる。
前記駆動薄膜トランジスタは車両内のバッテリーから電力を受けることができる。
本発明の多様な実施例に含まれた構成要素の解釈において、別途の明示的な記載がないとしても誤差範囲を含むものに解釈する。
具体的に、発光層構造の構成及び変形例を説明する。
ここで、前記第2ホストbh2のLUMO準位は前記第1ホストbh1のLUMO準位より0.2eV〜0.5eV高い。
ここで、発光構造物のうち最も薄い前記第1及び第2青色発光層140、170の厚さは150Å〜400Åであってもよい。
上述した本発明の有機発光素子に比較例を比較して本発明の有機発光素子の効果を説明する。
図4aは第1比較例による有機発光素子を示した断面図、図4bは図4aの青色発光層及びその隣接層に対応するバンドダイアグラムを示した図である。
以下では、表1及び図6に基づいて本発明と第1及び第2比較例による有機発光素子の効果を比較する。
第1比較例の変形例に係る有機発光素子は、前記第1比較例の構造において、第1スタックの電子輸送層45を省略したものである。
図6は実験例の電流−電圧(J−V)特性を示したグラフである。
図8は本発明の有機発光素子を適用した有機発光表示装置を示した断面図である。
図9は本発明の有機発光表示装置を適用した車両を示した図である。
本発明の有機発光表示装置の基板100は透明可撓性プラスチック基板を使用して、車両内への設置を容易にできる。

- 第1領域、第2領域及び第3領域にそれぞれ配置された第1電極と、
前記第1電極上に配置された第1共通層と、
前記第1領域と第2領域にそれぞれ配置された第1赤色発光層及び第1緑色発光層と、
前記第1乃至前記第3領域にわたって、前記第1赤色発光層、第1緑色発光層及び第1共通層上に配置された第1青色発光層と、
前記第1青色発光層上に配置された電荷生成層と、
前記電荷生成層上の第2共通層と、
前記第1領域と第2領域において、前記第2共通層上にそれぞれ配置された第2赤色発光層及び第2緑色発光層と、
前記第1乃至前記第3領域にわたって、前記第2赤色発光層、第2緑色発光層及び第2共通層上に配置された第2青色発光層と、
前記第2青色発光層上に配置された第3共通層と、
前記第3共通層上の第2電極と、を含む、有機発光素子。 - 前記第1青色発光層及び第2青色発光層は、励起に関与する第1ホストと、電子輸送性の第2ホストと、青色ドーパントとを含み、前記第1青色発光層は、前記電荷生成層に接する、請求項1に記載の有機発光素子。
- 前記第2ホストの最低空軌道(LUMO)準位は前記第1ホストのLUMO準位より0.2eV乃至0.5eV高い、請求項2に記載の有機発光素子。
- 前記第2ホストは、アントラセンをコアとして含み、ジベンゾフランを末端基として含む化合物である、請求項2に記載の有機発光素子。
- 前記第1及び第2青色発光層は前記第1及び第2ホストのそれぞれの30vol%以上を含む、請求項2に記載の有機発光素子。
- 前記第1赤色発光層は前記第1緑色発光層及び前記第1青色発光層より厚く、
前記第2赤色発光層は前記第2緑色発光層及び前記第2青色発光層より厚い、請求項1に記載の有機発光素子。 - 前記第1及び第2青色発光層の厚さは150Å〜400Åである、請求項7に記載の有機発光素子。
- 前記第1緑色発光層の厚さは前記第1青色発光層の厚さ以上で且つ400Å以下であり、
前記第2緑色発光層の厚さは前記第2青色発光層の厚さ以上で且つ400Å以下である、請求項8に記載の有機発光素子。 - 前記第2電極上にキャッピング層をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の有機発光素子。
- 前記第3共通層が前記第2電極と接する、請求項1に記載の有機発光素子。
- 前記第1乃至前記第3領域のそれぞれにおいて前記第1赤色発光層、前記第1緑色発光層及び前記第1青色発光層の下面は前記第1共通層の上面と接する、請求項1に記載の有機発光素子。
- 前記第3共通層と前記第2電極の間に、第4共通層、発光構造及び第5共通層が積層された発光スタックをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の有機発光素子。
- 前記発光層構造は、
前記第1領域と第2領域にそれぞれ配置された第3赤色発光層及び第3緑色発光層と、
前記第1乃至前記第3領域にわたって、前記第3赤色発光層、前記第3緑色発光層及び前記第4共通層上に配置された第3青色発光層と、を含む、請求項13に記載の有機発光素子。 - それぞれ駆動薄膜トランジスタを有する第1領域、第2領域及び第3領域を備えた基板と、
前記第1領域乃至前記第3領域にそれぞれの前記駆動薄膜トランジスタと接続するように配置された第1電極と、
前記第1電極上に配置された第1共通層と、
前記第1領域と第2領域にそれぞれ配置された第1赤色発光層及び第1緑色発光層と、
前記第1乃至前記第3領域にわたって、前記第1赤色発光層、第1緑色発光層及び第1共通層上に配置された第1青色発光層と、
前記第1青色発光層上に配置された電荷生成層と、
前記電荷生成層上の第2共通層と、
前記第1領域と第2領域において、前記第2共通層上にそれぞれ配置された第2赤色発光層及び第2緑色発光層と、
前記第1乃至前記第3領域にわたって、前記第2赤色発光層、第2緑色発光層及び第2共通層上に配置された第2青色発光層と、
前記第2青色発光層上に配置された第3共通層と、
前記第3共通層上の第2電極と、を含む、有機発光表示装置。 - 前記第1青色発光層及び第2青色発光層は、励起に関与する第1ホストと、電子輸送性の第2ホストと、青色ドーパントとを含み、前記第1青色発光層は、前記電荷生成層に接する、請求項15に記載の有機発光表示装置。
- 前記第2ホストの最低空軌道(LUMO)準位は前記第1ホストのLUMO準位より0.2eV〜0.5eV高い、請求項16に記載の有機発光表示装置。
- 前記第2ホストは、アントラセンをコアとして含み、末端基としてジベンゾフランを含む化合物である、請求項16に記載の有機発光表示装置。
- 前記第2電極の上面に接したキャッピング層をさらに備える、請求項15に記載の有機発光表示装置。
- 前記キャッピング層上に光学フィルムをさらに含む、請求項19に記載の有機発光表示装置。
- 前記基板は透明可撓性フィルムであり、
前記第1電極は反射電極を含み、
前記第2電極は、透明電極層、反射透過性電極層、複数層の透明電極層のスタック、複数層の反射透過性電極層のスタック、ならびに透明電極及び反射透過性電極層のスタックのいずれか一つである、請求項15に記載の有機発光表示装置。 - 車両の計器盤、車両内のヘッドアップ装置、前面ガラス、ルームミラー及びサイドミラーの少なくとも一つに設置されるように構成された有機発光表示装置を含む車両用表示装置であって、前記有機発光表示装置は、
それぞれ駆動薄膜トランジスタを有する第1領域、第2領域及び第3領域を備えた基板と、
前記第1領域乃至前記第3領域にそれぞれの前記駆動薄膜トランジスタと接続するように配置された第1電極と、
前記第1電極上に配置された第1共通層と、
前記第1領域と第2領域にそれぞれ配置された第1赤色発光層及び第1緑色発光層と、
前記第1乃至前記第3領域にわたって、前記第1赤色発光層、第1緑色発光層及び第1共通層上に配置された第1青色発光層と、
前記第1青色発光層上に配置された電荷生成層と、
前記電荷生成層上の第2共通層と、
前記第1領域と第2領域において、前記第2共通層上にそれぞれ配置された第2赤色発光層及び第2緑色発光層と、
前記第1乃至前記第3領域にわたって、前記第2赤色発光層、第2緑色発光層及び第2共通層上に配置された第2青色発光層と、
前記第2青色発光層上に配置された第3共通層と、
前記第3共通層上の第2電極と、を含む、車両用表示装置。 - 前記駆動薄膜トランジスタは車両内のバッテリーから電力を受ける、請求項22に記載の車両用表示装置。
