Description

Claims (27)
- イーベイピング装置のためのカートリッジであって、
プレベイパー製剤を保持するように構成された貯蔵部と、
前記貯蔵部から前記プレベイパー製剤を引き出すよう構成される分配インターフェースと、
前記分配インターフェースに結合される発熱体であって、前記分配インターフェースに引き出されたプレベイパー製剤を加熱するよう構成され、前記分配インターフェースの外部表面に沿って延在する、発熱体と、
前記分配インターフェースの内部を貫通する導電性素子と、を備える、カートリッジ。 - 前記導電性素子が、前記分配インターフェースの中心長手方向軸に沿って少なくとも部分的に延在する、請求項1に記載のカートリッジ。
- 前記分配インターフェースが、繊維質ウィッキング材料を含み、
前記導電性素子が、前記繊維質ウィッキング材料の内部を通して織り込まれる、請求項1または2に記載のカートリッジ。 - 前記発熱体が、前記分配インターフェースの外部表面の周りに少なくとも部分的に延在するヒーターコイルワイヤを含む、請求項1、2または3のいずれかに記載のカートリッジ。
- 前記発熱体が、第1の電気抵抗率温度係数を有し、
前記導電性素子が、第2の電気抵抗率温度係数を有し、
前記第2の電気抵抗率温度係数が、前記第1の電気抵抗率温度係数より大きい、請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載のカートリッジ。 - 前記導電性素子が、約21℃〜約327℃の温度の間で、少なくとも約1.5×10-4μΩ・m/℃の電気抵抗率温度係数を有する、請求項5に記載のカートリッジ。
- 前記導電性素子が、約21℃〜約327℃の温度の間で、少なくとも約1.5mΩ/℃の電気抵抗温度係数を有する、請求項6に記載のカートリッジ。
- 前記分配インターフェースに引き出されるプレベイパー製剤の量が閾値量以上の場合、前記分配インターフェースが、前記発熱体と前記導電性素子との間でブリッジ電気回路を確立するよう構成される、請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載のカートリッジ。
- 前記導電性素子および前記発熱体とは別々に前記分配インターフェースに結合されるセンサワイヤであって、前記ブリッジ電気回路を介して伝播する電気信号を搬送するよう構成される、センサワイヤをさらに備える、請求項8に記載のカートリッジ。
- カートリッジであって、
プレベイパー製剤を保持するよう構成される貯蔵部と、
前記貯蔵部から前記プレベイパー製剤を引き出すよう構成される分配インターフェースと、
前記分配インターフェースに結合される発熱体であって、前記分配インターフェースに引き出されたプレベイパー製剤を加熱するよう構成され、前記分配インターフェースの外部表面に沿って延在する、発熱体と、
前記分配インターフェースの内部を貫通する導電性素子と、を含むカートリッジと、
前記発熱体に電力を選択的に供給するよう構成される電源と、を備える、イーベイピング装置。 - 前記発熱体が、第1の電気抵抗率温度係数を有し、
前記導電性素子が、第2の電気抵抗率温度係数を有し、
前記第2の電気抵抗率温度係数が、前記第1の電気抵抗率温度係数より大きい、請求項10に記載のイーベイピング装置。 - 前記導電性素子の電気抵抗を決定し、
前記導電性素子の前記電気抵抗に基づいて前記分配インターフェースの温度を決定し、
前記分配インターフェースの前記温度に基づいて前記発熱体に供給される前記電力を制御するよう構成される制御回路をさらに備える、請求項11に記載のイーベイピング装置。 - 前記制御回路が、前記発熱体に供給される前記電力を制御して、前記分配インターフェースの前記温度を閾値温度より低く維持するよう構成される、請求項12に記載のイーベイピング装置。
- 前記制御回路が、少なくとも1mΩの大きさの、前記導電性素子の前記電気抵抗の変化を検出するよう構成される、請求項12または13に記載のイーベイピング装置。
- 前記分配インターフェースに引き出されるプレベイパー製剤の量が閾値量以上の場合、前記分配インターフェースが、前記発熱体と前記導電性素子との間にブリッジ電気回路を確立するよう構成される、請求項10〜14のいずれかに記載のイーベイピング装置。
- 前記ブリッジ電気回路が前記発熱体と前記導電性素子との間に確立されているかどうかに基づいて、カートリッジ内のプレベイパー製剤の量が閾値量以上かどうか判定するよう構成される制御回路をさらに備える、請求項15に記載のイーベイピング装置。
- 前記ブリッジ電気回路を介して前記発熱体と前記導電性素子との間に送信されるブリッジ電気信号を受信し、
前記ブリッジ電気信号に基づいて前記ブリッジ電気回路の電気抵抗を決定し、
前記ブリッジ電気回路の決定された電気抵抗に基づいて、前記カートリッジ内のプレベイパー製剤の量を決定するよう構成される制御回路をさらに備える、請求項15または16に記載のイーベイピング装置。 - 前記制御回路が、
前記導電性素子と前記発熱体のうちの少なくとも1つの少なくとも一部を介して初期電気信号を送信し、
前記初期電気信号と前記ブリッジ電気信号の両方に基づいて、前記カートリッジ内の前記プレベイパー製剤の量を決定するよう構成される、請求項17に記載のイーベイピング装置。 - 前記導電性素子および前記発熱体とは別々に前記分配インターフェースに結合されるセンサワイヤであって、前記ブリッジ電気信号を搬送するよう構成される、センサワイヤをさらに備え、
前記制御回路が、前記センサワイヤを介して前記ブリッジ電気信号を受信するよう構成される、請求項17または18に記載のイーベイピング装置。 - 前記電源は充電式電池を含む、請求項10〜19のいずれかに記載のイーベイピング装置。
- 前記カートリッジおよび前記電源が互いに着脱可能に連結されるよう構成される、請求項10〜20のいずれかに記載のイーベイピング装置。
- 分配インターフェースを貯蔵部に結合して、前記貯蔵部からプレベイパー製剤を引き出すよう前記分配インターフェースを構成することと、
発熱体を前記分配インターフェースに結合することであって、
前記発熱体が、前記分配インターフェースの外部表面に沿って延在するように、かつ
前記発熱体が、前記分配インターフェースに引き出されるプレベイパー製剤を加熱するよう動作可能なように、結合することと、
導電性素子が前記分配インターフェースの前記内部を介して前記発熱体から熱を受けるよう構成されるように、前記導電性素子を前記分配インターフェースの内部にあるよう構成することと、を含む方法。 - 前記発熱体が、第1の電気抵抗率温度係数を有し、
前記導電性素子が、第2の電気抵抗率温度係数を有し、
前記第2の電気抵抗率温度係数が、前記第1の電気抵抗率温度係数より大きい、請求項22に記載の方法。 - 制御回路を少なくとも前記導電性素子に電気的に結合することであって、前記制御回路が、
前記導電性素子の電気抵抗を決定し、
前記導電性素子の前記電気抵抗に基づいて前記分配インターフェースの温度を決定し、かつ
前記分配インターフェースの前記温度に基づいて前記発熱体に供給される電力を制御するよう構成される、結合することをさらに含む、請求項22または23に記載の方法。 - 制御回路を少なくとも前記導電性素子に電気的に結合することであって、前記制御回路が、前記分配インターフェースが、前記発熱体と前記導電性素子との間にブリッジ電気回路を確立しているかどうかに基づいて、前記貯蔵部内のプレベイパー製剤の量が閾値量以上かどうかを判定するよう構成される、結合することをさらに含む、請求項22、23、または24に記載の方法。
- 制御回路を少なくとも前記導電性素子に電気的に結合することであって、前記制御回路が、前記発熱体と前記導電性素子との間のブリッジ電気回路の電気抵抗が閾値より小さいかどうかに基づいて、前記貯蔵部内のプレベイパー製剤の量が閾値量以上かどうかを判定するよう構成される、結合することをさらに含む、請求項22〜25のいずれかに記載の方法。
