Description
図3は、本発明の第1実施形態に係る有機発光表示装置の薄膜トランジスタ領域を概略的に示す断面図である。図4は、本発明の第1実施形態に係る有機発光表示装置の補助電極領域を概略的に示す断面図である。
図9は、本発明の第2実施形態に係る薄膜トランジスタの領域を概略的に示す断面図である。図10は、本発明の第2実施形態に係る補助電極領域を概略的に示す断面図である。図11A及び図11Bは、突出部を形成するための製造方法を時系列的に示した図である。第2実施形態の構造は、補助電極領域で第1実施形態のそれとの差を有し、したがって、以下において、補助電極領域を中心に説明する。
Claims (15)
- 薄膜トランジスタ及び前記薄膜トランジスタと接続された有機発光ダイオードが配置される薄膜トランジスタ領域と、補助電極が配置される補助電極領域とを定義する基板と
前記補助電極上に配置される隔壁と
前記隔壁により分離されて前記補助電極の少なくとも一部を露出し、その一端が前記補助電極に直接接触される前記有機発光ダイオードのカソードと、
前記カソード上に配置され、前記隔壁及び前記補助電極をカバーするように連続性を有するカバー層を含む、有機発光表示装置。 - 前記カソードと前記カバー層との間に介在される保護層をさらに含み、
前記保護層は、
前記隔壁により分離され、前記補助電極の少なくとも一部を露出する、請求項1に記載の有機発光表示装置。 - 電源発生部から電源電圧の供給を受ける電源配線をさらに含み、
前記補助電極は、
少なくとも一つの絶縁層を間に置いて、前記少なくとも一つの絶縁層を貫通するコンタクトホールを介して、その下部に配置された前記電源配線と電気的に接続される、請求項1に記載の有機発光表示装置。 - 前記有機発光ダイオードの有機化合物層は、
前記隔壁によって分離され、前記補助電極の少なくとも一部を露出し、
前記カソードの前記一端は、
前記有機化合物層上で、前記有機化合物層の一端よりさらに延長され、前記補助電極に接触される、請求項1に記載の有機発光表示装置。 - 前記カバー層は、
酸化アルミニウム(Al2O3)、窒化シリコン(SiNx)膜の内、選択されたいずれか一つで形成される、請求項1に記載の有機発光表示装置。 - 前記カバー層の厚さは、
前記保護層の厚さに比べ薄く設定される、請求項2に記載の有機発光表示装置。 - 前記カバー層は、
前記保護層が、前記隔壁によって分離されるときに生成される開放された領域をカバーする、請求項2に記載の有機発光表示装置。 - 薄膜トランジスタ及び前記薄膜トランジスタと接続された有機発光ダイオードが配置される薄膜トランジスタ領域と、補助電極が配置される補助電極領域が定義される基板と
前記補助電極上に配置され、前記補助電極の少なくとも一部を露出するパッシベーション膜と
前記パッシベーション膜上に配置され、前記補助電極と重畳された領域において、前記パッシベーション膜より突出した突出部を有するように設けられたダミーパターンと
前記突出部によって分離され、前記補助電極の少なくとも一部を露出し、その一端が前記補助電極に直接接触される前記有機発光ダイオードのカソードと、
前記カソード上に配置され、前記突出部及び前記補助電極をカバーするように連続性を有するカバー層を含む、有機発光表示装置。 - 前記カソードと前記カバー層との間に介在される保護層をさらに含み、
前記保護層は、
前記突出部によって分離され、前記補助電極の少なくとも一部を露出する、請求項8に記載の有機発光表示装置。 - 電源発生部から電源電圧の供給を受ける電源配線をさらに含み、
前記補助電極は、
少なくとも一つの絶縁層を間に置いて、前記少なくとも一つの絶縁層を貫通するコンタクトホールを介して、その下部に配置された前記電源配線と電気的に接続される、請求項8に記載の有機発光表示装置。 - 前記補助電極は、
電源発生部から電源電圧の供給を受ける、請求項8に記載の有機発光表示装置。 - 前記有機発光ダイオードの有機化合物層は、
前記突出部によって分離されて、前記補助電極の少なくとも一部を露出し、
前記カソードの前記一端は、
前記有機化合物層上で、前記有機化合物層の一端より延長され、前記補助電極に接触される、請求項8に記載の有機発光表示装置。 - 前記カバー層は、
酸化アルミニウム(Al2O3)、窒化シリコン(SiNx)膜の内、選択されたいずれか一つで行われる、請求項8に記載の有機発光表示装置。 - 前記カバー層の厚さは、
前記保護層の厚さに比べ薄く設定される、請求項9に記載の有機発光表示装置。 - 前記カバー層は、
前記保護層が、前記突出部によって分離されて開放された領域をカバーする、請求項9に記載の有機発光表示装置。
