Abstract
Description
本発明は、モジュラー式経皮弁デバイスの展開および組み立てのためのシステムおよび方法に関する。特に、このモジュラー式弁デバイスは、弁モジュールの折り畳みおよび組み立てを容易にする新規な特徴を有するものであり、このシステムは、デバイスモジュールを展開し、結合して一体に固定するための新規な特徴を有するものである。
人体には、たとえば、心臓弁、噴門(食道/胃)弁、腸弁、リンパ系内の弁など、広範な種類の生来の弁がある。生来の弁は、疾病、年齢などのさまざまな理由により変性することがある。機能不全を生じた弁は、最小圧力損失での単一方向の体液の流れを維持することができない。機能不全を生じた弁とは、たとえば、狭窄(すなわち弁小葉が完全に開かない)状態、または、閉鎖不全(すなわち弁小葉が適切に閉まらない)状態が疑われる心臓弁である。弁が関係している器官が正常に機能している状態を取り戻すためには、弁の機能を回復することが望ましい。たとえば、心臓における正常な弁機能によって、弁を介して最小圧力欠損での単一方向の血流を確実に維持することができるので、血液循環と血圧を維持することが可能となる。同様に、正常な食道弁機能によって、酸性胃液分泌が食道内層に対して炎症を生じさせたり永久的に損傷を与えたりすることがないよう担保されている。
Claims (9)
- 第1リング部材と、複数のマストとを有し、前記複数のマストのうちの一つは、片割れ第1マスト部分および片割れ第2マスト部分を有する長手方向に分割されたマストである弁フレームと、
圧縮された送達時の形態および拡張された使用時の形態を備える支持モジュールと、
複数の相補的ロック部材と
を備え、
前記相補的ロック部材のそれぞれが、前記支持モジュール上に配置されたスピアと、前記弁フレーム上に配置されたシャフトを有し、当該シャフトが前記弁フレームおよび前記支持モジュールを互いにロックするために前記スピアを覆って嵌合している
ことを特徴とするモジュラー式経皮弁デバイス。 - 前記スピアの少なくとも一つが、第1の端部にスピアヘッドを、第2の端部にスピアクロスを、有していることを特徴とする請求項1のモジュラー式経皮弁デバイス。
- 少なくとも一つの相補的なシャフトおよびスピアがリングシャフトおよびハイブリッドスピアを有していることを特徴とする請求項1のモジュラー式経皮弁デバイス。
- 少なくとも一つの相補的なシャフトおよびスピアが第1の内径を有する第1リングシャフトと、第2の内径を有する第2リングシャフトと、片側ハイブリッドスピアとを有していることを特徴とする請求項1のモジュラー式経皮弁デバイス。
- 前記スピアは、ハイブリッドスピアであり、該ハイブリッドスピアは、貫通して延びる長孔と、その第1側に沿って延びる第1の溝とを有し、前記シャフトは、リングシャフトであることを特徴とする、請求項1のモジュラー式経皮弁デバイス。
- 前記ハイブリッドスピアは、その第2側に配置された第2の溝を有することを特徴とする、請求項5のモジュラー式経皮弁デバイス。
- 前記ハイブリッドスピアは、前記シャフトが通り抜けて移動しない大きさのスピア止めを有することを特徴とする請求項5のモジュラー式経皮弁デバイス。
- 前記スピアは、さらに、その自由端部にアイレットを有し、当該アイレットは、アセンブリーワイヤーを通すよう構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1のモジュラー式経皮弁デバイス。
- 前記スピアが、ダイヤモンド形、菱形、台形、凧形、円形、矩形、長円形、鏃形、球形、卵形、球根形からなるグループから選択された形状を有することを特徴とする請求項1のモジュラー式経皮弁デバイス。
