Claims (8)
- 長軸を有する水不溶性薬剤の結晶である複数の長尺体がバルーンの表面に設けられる薬剤コート層の形成方法であって、
水不溶性薬剤および溶媒を含むコーティング溶液を前記バルーンの表面に供給し、前記溶媒を蒸発させて前記バルーンの表面に複数の前記長尺体を形成するステップと、
膨張、発泡または硬化可能な保護剤を、膨張、発泡または硬化する前の状態で前記バルーンの表面に供給するステップと、
前記保護剤を膨張、発泡または硬化させて複数の前記長尺体の間の隙間の少なくとも一部を満たして保護する保護層を形成するステップと、
前記バルーンを折り畳むステップと、を有する薬剤コート層の形成方法。 - 前記バルーンを折り畳むステップの後、前記保護層を収縮、消泡または軟化させる請求項1に記載の前記薬剤コート層の形成方法。
- 前記保護剤は、加水、加熱または酸の供給により発泡する発泡剤を含み、
前記保護層を形成するステップにおいて、前記保護剤に加水、加熱または酸を供給して当該保護剤を発泡させる請求項1または2に記載の薬剤コート層の形成方法。 - 前記保護剤は、加水により膨潤可能な膨潤性材料を含み、
前記保護層を形成するステップにおいて、前記保護剤に加水して当該保護剤を膨潤させる請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の薬剤コート層の形成方法。 - 前記保護剤は、冷却により固化する液体を含み、
前記保護層を形成するステップにおいて、前記保護剤を冷却して固化させる請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の薬剤コート層の形成方法。 - 前記バルーンを折り畳むステップの後に、前記保護層に含まれる液体を蒸発させるステップをさらに有する請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の薬剤コート層の形成方法。
- 前記保護剤は水溶性である請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の薬剤コート層の形成方法。
- 前記水不溶性薬剤は、ラパマイシン、パクリタキセル、ドセタキセル、およびエベロリムスからなる群から選択される少なくとも1つを含有する請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の薬剤コート層の形成方法。
