Claims (20)
- 第一のポリマー物質を含む本体部、および
前記第一のポリマー物質よりも疎水性が高い第二のポリマー物質を含む可視化部であって、少なくとも1つの放射線不透過性金属を含む複数の粒子を含み、前記複数の粒子が前記第二のポリマー物質と直接接触し、かつ前記第二のポリマー物質中に分散されており、前記第二のポリマー物質が前記第一のポリマー物質と直接接触している、可視化部
を含む医療機器。 - 前記粒子がコーティングされていない、請求項1に記載の医療機器。
- 前記少なくとも1つの放射線不透過性金属がタングステン、金、パラジウム、イリジウム、金、タンタル、ビスマス、バリウム、および白金の少なくとも1つを含む、請求項1に記載の医療機器。
- 少なくとも1つの放射線不透過性金属がタングステンを含む、請求項3に記載の医療機器。
- 前記第二のポリマー物質が官能化されたポリマーである、請求項1に記載の医療機器。
- 前記官能化されたポリマーがポリオレフィンを含む、請求項5に記載の医療機器。
- 少なくとも1つの官能基が無水マレイン酸である、請求項5に記載の医療機器。
- 前記可視化部が前記第一のポリマー物質をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の医療機器。
- 前記可視化部が約0%〜約97%の前記第一のポリマー物質を含む、請求項1に記載の医療機器。

- 医療機器を作成する方法であって、
官能化された疎水性ポリマー中に放射線不透過性物質を分散させて、可視化要素を形成する工程であって、前記放射線不透過性物質が前記官能化された疎水性ポリマーと直接接触している、工程、および
前記可視化要素を前記医療機器の機器本体に接合させる工程
を含む方法。 - 前記機器本体が、前記官能化された疎水性ポリマーよりも疎水性が低い機器ポリマーを含む、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 前記可視化要素が前記機器ポリマーをさらに含む、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記官能化された疎水性ポリマーが無水マレイン酸を含む、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 前記放射線不透過性物質がタングステンを含む、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 前記タングステンが容積で前記可視化要素の約5%〜約30%を占める、請求項17に記載の方法。
- 前記放射線不透過性物質が粉体、複数のマイクロ粒子、および複数のナノ粒子の1つとして提供される、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 前記医療機器がカテーテルである、請求項13に記載の方法。
