Abstract
【解決手段】本発明に係る密閉型電池は、電極体を収容する角型のケース50を備える。角型のケース50は、開口部を有する凹状のケース本体52と封口部材54とを備える。ケース本体52は、電極体を挟んで封口部材54と対向する平坦面52aと、該平坦面52aから立ち上がった側壁52bとを有する。ケース本体52に設けられた開口部の周縁部分と封口部材54とは、シール溶接によって互いに接合されている。平坦面52aの端辺のうち少なくとも一辺58a部分には、ケース内部に向かって窪んだ凹部56a、156aと該平坦面52aと同一平面となる凸部56bとからなる凹凸が形成されている。凹部56a、156aの底面に電極端子80、82が配置されている。

Claims (6)
- 正極および負極を備える電極体と、
前記電極体および電解液を収容する角型のケースと、
前記電極体と電気的に接続され、前記ケースの外部に引き出された電極端子と
を備える密閉型電池であって、
前記角型のケースは、開口部を有する凹状のケース本体と、該ケース本体の開口部を覆うように取り付けられた封口部材とを備えており、
前記ケース本体は、前記電極体を挟んで前記封口部材と対向する平坦面と、前記電極体の周りを囲むように該平坦面から立ち上がった側壁とを有しており、
前記ケース本体に設けられた前記開口部の周縁部分と前記封口部材とは、シール溶接によって互いに接合されており、
前記平坦面の端辺のうち少なくとも一辺部分には、前記ケース内部に向かって窪んだ凹部と該平坦面と同一平面となる凸部とからなる凹凸が形成されており、
前記凹部の底面に前記電極端子が配置されている、密閉型電池。 - 前記凹部の底面には、前記ケース内で発生したガスを排出するガス排出弁が配置されている、請求項1に記載の密閉型電池。
- 前記凹部の底面には、前記電解液の注液孔を塞ぐ注液栓が配置されている、請求項1または2に記載の密閉型電池。
- 複数の充放電可能な単電池が直列に接続されて構成された組電池であって、
正極および負極を備える電極体と、該電極体および電解液を収容する角型のケースと、該電極体と電気的に接続され、該ケースの外部に引き出された電極端子とを備える密閉型の単電池を複数備えており、
前記角型のケースは、開口部を有する凹状のケース本体と、該ケース本体の開口部を覆うように取り付けられた封口部材とを備えており、
前記複数の単電池は、該単電池それぞれが備える前記ケースにおいて前記ケース本体と前記封口部材とが重ね合わされる方向に配列され且つ該配列方向に荷重が加えられた状態で拘束されており、
前記ケース本体は、隣接する単電池ケースの互いに対向する面であって前記拘束時に荷重を受ける平坦面と、前記電極体の周りを囲むように該平坦面から立ち上がった側壁とを有しており、
前記ケース本体に設けられた前記開口部の周縁部分と前記封口部材とは、シール溶接によって互いに接合されており、
前記平坦面の端辺のうち少なくとも一辺部分には、前記拘束時に隣接する単電池ケースに押し付けられる押圧凸部と該拘束時に該単電池ケースに接触しない非接触凹部とからなる凹凸が形成されており、
前記非接触凹部の底面に前記電極端子が配置されている、組電池。 - 前記凹部の底面には、前記ケース内で発生したガスを排出するガス排出弁が配置されている、請求項4に記載の組電池。
- 前記凹部の底面には、前記電解液の注液孔を塞ぐ注液栓が配置されている、請求項4または5に記載の組電池。
