Abstract
【解決手段】本発明の一実施例に係る接触感応素子は、電気活性ポリマー(electric active polymer;EAP)からなる電気活性層、電気活性層の少なくとも一面に配置される電極、および、電気活性層および前記電極上に配置され、負の熱膨張係数(Coefficient of Thermal Expansion;CTE)を有するハードコーティング層を含むことにより、垂直方向への振動効果を極大化し、耐衝撃性を向上させることができる。

Description
また、本発明が解決しようとするまた他の課題は、透明でありながらも表面の硬度に優れた接触感応素子およびそれを含む表示装置を提供することである。
本発明の課題は、以上において言及した課題に制限されず、言及されていないまた他の課題は、下記の記載から当業者に明確に理解され得るだろう。
図1aは、本発明の一実施例に係る接触感応素子を説明するための概略的な断面図である。図1bは、本発明の一実施例に係る接触感応素子の電気活性層に発生する圧縮力と引張力を説明するための概略図である。図1aおよび図1bを参照すると、接触感応素子100は、電気活性層110、電極120およびハードコーティング層130を含む。
アクリル系ポリマーを利用して電気活性層を20umの厚さに製膜した後、両面に上部電極および下部電極を蒸着させた。以後、シリカ(SiO2)ゾル(sol)、Al(NO3)3・9H2OおよびLiNO3を蒸留水に3時間の間撹拌して混合し、PVA溶液を加えて3時間の間撹拌してゲル(gel)状態のコーティング組成物を製造した。製造されたコーティング組成物を、電気活性層および電極を全て覆うことができるようにコーティングした後、150℃で24時間の間熱処理し、LiO2・Al2O3・4SiO2スポジュメンからなる50nmの厚さのハードコーティング層を形成した。このとき、ハードコーティング層の熱膨張係数は、−0.14×10−6/℃である。
ハードコーティング層を形成しないことを除いては、実施例1と同様の方法で接触感応素子を製造した。
図2は、本発明の比較例に係る接触感応素子200を説明するための概略的な断面図である。図2を参照すると、ハードコーティング層230は、電気活性層110と電極220との間に配置される。図2による接触感応素子200は、電気活性層110上にすぐにハードコーティング層230を形成した後、電極220を蒸着させる点を除いては、実施例1と同様の方法で接触感応素子が製造された。
実施例1、比較例1および比較例2に係る接触感応素子において、上部電極に、100Hzの条件下で上部電極に400Vの電圧を印加し、下部電極にグラウンド電圧を印加した時の振動加速度を測定した。測定結果は、図3a、図3bおよび図3cに示した。
また、図3aおよび図3cを比較すると、比較例2は、約0.5Gの振動加速度を示すことを確認することができた。
本発明の実施態様は、下記のように記載することもできる。
本発明の態様によれば、接触感応素子は、電気活性ポリマー(EAP)からなる電気活性層、電気活性層の少なくとも一面に配置される電極、および、電気活性層および電極上に配置され、負の熱膨張係数(Coefficient of Thermal Expansion;CTE)を有するハードコーティング層を含む。
ハードコーティング層は、ZrW2O8(Zirconium tungstate)、HfW2O8(hafnium tungstate)、ZrMo2O8(zirconium molybdate)およびHfMo2O8(hafnium molybdate)の少なくとも一つを含むことができる。
ハードコーティング層は、低温と高温を繰り返して処理する熱処理工程により形成され得る。
ハードコーティング層は、電極および電気活性層の表面を覆うことができる。

Claims (12)
- 電気活性ポリマー(electric active polymer;EAP)からなる電気活性層;
前記電気活性層の少なくとも一面に配置される電極;および
前記電気活性層および前記電極上に配置され、負の熱膨張係数(Coefficient of Thermal Expansion;CTE)を有するハードコーティング層を含む、接触感応素子。 - 前記電気活性層は、正の熱膨張係数を有する、請求項1に記載の接触感応素子。
- 前記ハードコーティング層は、シリカ(SiO2)、アルミナ(Al2O3)および酸化リチウム(Li2O)からなるユークリプタイト(eucryptite)またはスポジュメン(spodumen)を含む、請求項1に記載の接触感応素子。
- 前記ハードコーティング層は、ZrW2O8(Zirconium tungstate)、HfW2O8(hafnium tungstate)、ZrMo2O8(zirconium molybdate)およびHfMo2O8(hafnium molybdate)の少なくとも一つを含む、請求項1に記載の接触感応素子。
- 前記ハードコーティング層は、低温と高温を繰り返して処理する熱処理工程により形成された、請求項1に記載の接触感応素子。
- 前記電気活性層は、中央部、前記中央部上の上部表面部および前記中央部下の下部表面部で構成され、
前記電極に電圧が印加されていない状態で、前記中央部は、引張力(tensile force)を受け、前記上部表面部および前記下部表面部は、圧縮力(compressive force)を受ける、請求項1に記載の接触感応素子。 - 前記ハードコーティング層の厚さは、10nm〜200nmである、請求項1に記載の接触感応素子。
- 前記ハードコーティング層は、前記電極および前記電気活性層の表面を覆う、請求項1に記載の接触感応素子。
- 表示パネル;および
前記表示パネルの上部または下部の接触感応素子を含み、
前記接触感応素子は、電気活性ポリマーからなる電気活性層、前記電気活性層の少なくとも一面に配置される電極、および、前記電気活性層および前記電極上に配置され、負の熱膨張係数を有するハードコーティング層を含む、表示装置。 - 前記電気活性層は、正の熱膨張係数を有する、請求項9に記載の表示装置。
- 前記表示パネル上に別に配置されたアドオン(add−on)タイプのタッチパネルをさらに含み、
前記接触感応素子は、前記表示パネルと前記タッチパネルとの間に配置された、請求項9に記載の表示装置。 - 前記表示パネルは、前記表示パネル内に一体化するように構成されたタッチセンサを含む液晶表示パネルであり、
前記液晶表示パネルの下部に配置されたバックライトユニットをさらに含み、
前記接触感応素子は、前記液晶表示パネルと前記バックライトユニットとの間に配置された、請求項9に記載の表示装置。
