Abstract
Description

1.技術分野
本発明は、概して、船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物に関し、特に、船舶用2ストローククロスヘッドディーゼルシリンダーエンジンを潤滑するための潤滑油組成物に関する。
それ程遠くはない過去に、急激に高騰するエネルギーコスト、特に原油及び液体石油を蒸留する際に生じるコストが、海洋船舶の所有者及び運航者等の輸送燃料のユーザーにとって大きな負担となってきた。それに対応して、それらのユーザーは、蒸気タービン推進ユニットから遠ざかり、燃料効率がより高い大型船舶用ディーゼルエンジンを支持して、それらの運航の舵を取ってきた。ディーゼルエンジンは、一般的に、低速、中速、又は高速エンジンに分類することができ、低速の種類のものは、最大のディープシャフトの船舶及び特定の他の産業用途に使用される。

(i)250超過のTBNを有するアルキル置換ヒドロキシ芳香族カルボン酸の1種以上のアルカリ土類金属塩、及び(ii)1種以上の高過塩基性アルキル芳香族スルホン酸又はそれらの塩、を含む清浄剤組成物であって、前記アルキル芳香族スルホン酸又はそれらの塩の前記芳香族部分は、ヒドロキシル基を含有しない清浄剤組成物、を含む。
式中、各R1は、独立的に、ポリオレフィン誘導基等のヒドロカルビル基である。典型的に、ヒドロカルビル基は、ポリイソブチル基等のアルキル基である。或いは、R1基は、約40から約500個の炭素原子を含有することができ、そしてこれらの原子は脂肪族の形態で存在することができる。R2はアルキレン基であり、一般的にエチレン(C2H4)基である。スクシンイミド分散剤の例には、例えば、米国特許第3,172,892号、第4,234,435号及び第6,165,235号に記載されたものが含まれる。
例1〜3及び比較例A〜Jの船舶用ディーゼルエンジン潤滑油組成物を、表1及び以下に記載するように調製した。例1及び比較例A〜Jの各船舶用ディーゼルエンジン潤滑油組成物は、SAE 40粘度等級油であり、動粘度は100℃で約14.5cStであり、そしてTBNは約40mgKOH/gであった。例2は、SAE 50粘度油であり、動粘度は100℃で約18.7cStであり、そしてTBNは約70mgKOH/gであった。例3は、SAE 50粘度油であり、動粘度は100℃で約18.9cStであり、そしてTBNは約20mgKOH/gであった。例1〜3及び比較例A〜Jの船舶用ディーゼルエンジン潤滑油組成物は、主要量のグループIIのベースストック及び少量のグループIのベースストック、表1に規定の清浄剤組成物、及び0.04重量%の抑泡剤(foam inhibitor)を使用して配合した。比較例Dは、約31.7重量%の希釈油を有する、1000MWのポリイソブチレン無水コハク酸(PIBSA)及び重ポリアミン(HPA)/ジエチレントリアミン(DETA)から誘導されるビススクシンイミド分散剤の油濃縮物0.57重量%を更に含んだ。例1〜3の船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物の各々は、TPP及びその未硫化金属塩を含有していなかった。
Claims (15)
- (a)主要量の1種以上のグループIIのベースストック、並びに
(b)(i)250超過の全塩基価(TBN)を有するアルキル置換ヒドロキシ芳香族カルボン酸の1種以上のアルカリ土類金属塩、及び(ii)1種以上の高過塩基性アルキル芳香族スルホン酸又はそれらの塩、を含む清浄剤組成物;
を含む船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物であって:
前記アルキル芳香族スルホン酸又はそれらの塩の前記芳香族部分は、ヒドロキシル基を含有せず;そして、前記船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物は、約5から約120のTBNを有する、
前記潤滑油組成物。 - 約20から約100のTBNを有する、請求項1に記載の船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物。
- 約10から約40のTBNを有する、請求項1に記載の船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物。
- テトラプロペニルフェノール(TPP)及びその未硫化金属塩を実質的に含まない、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物。
- アルキル置換ヒドロキシ芳香族カルボン酸の前記1種以上のアルカリ土類金属塩が、アルキル置換ヒドロキシ芳香族カルボン酸の1種以上のカルシウム塩である、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物。
- アルキル置換ヒドロキシ芳香族カルボン酸の前記アルカリ土類金属塩の前記アルキル置換部分が、C10からC40アルキル基である、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物。
- アルキル置換ヒドロキシ芳香族カルボン酸の前記1種以上のアルカリ土類金属塩が、250超過且つ約800までのTBNを有する、請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物。
- 前記1種以上の高過塩基性アルキル芳香族スルホン酸又はそれらの塩が、1種以上の高過塩基性アルキル芳香族スルホン酸アルカリ土類金属である、請求項1から7のいずれか一項に記載の船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物。
- 前記1種以上の高過塩基性アルキル芳香族スルホン酸又はそれらの塩が、1種以上の高過塩基性アルキル芳香族スルホン酸カルシウムである、請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物。
- 前記1種以上の高過塩基性アルキル芳香族スルホン酸又はそれらの塩が、250超過のTBNを有する、請求項1から9のいずれか一項に記載の船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物。
- 前記船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物の全重量に基づいて、活性基準で約0.1から約35重量%の、250超過のTBNを有するアルキル置換ヒドロキシ芳香族カルボン酸の前記1種以上のアルカリ土類金属塩;及び
前記船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物の全重量に基づいて、活性基準で約0.1から約34重量%の、前記1種以上の高過塩基性アルキル芳香族スルホン酸又はそれらの塩、
を含む、請求項1から10のいずれか一項に記載の船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物。 - 酸化防止剤、無灰分散剤、清浄剤、防錆剤、曇り除去剤、抗乳化剤、金属不活性化剤、摩擦調整剤、流動点降下剤、消泡剤、補助溶媒、腐食防止剤、染料、極圧剤及びそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される1種以上の船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物添加剤を更に含む、請求項1から11のいずれか一項に記載の船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物。
- 分散剤及び/又は亜鉛化合物を実質的に含まない、請求項1から12のいずれか一項に記載の船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物。
- 船舶用2ストローククロスヘッドディーゼルエンジンを潤滑する方法であって、前記方法が、請求項1から13のいずれか一項に記載の船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物を用いて、前記エンジンを動作することを含む、方法。
- 2ストローククロスヘッド船舶用ディーゼルエンジンにおける高温清浄性及び熱安定性を改良するための、請求項1から13のいずれか一項に記載の船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物の使用
