Abstract
Description
包装用積層体10を、以下のtable(表1)に示される組成で生成した:
比較実施例1を繰り返したが、積層材料の外側層13b及び13cの両方で、接着性ポリマーとしてPrimacor(商標)3460(約3.6〜4.0mol%のカルボン酸基を有する)を使用した点が異なる。従来のオートクレーブ−LDPE Novex 19N 730を中心層として使用した。3層を、温度設定290〜290〜290℃で共押出し、ウェブ速度500m/分でコーティングした。
比較実施例1を繰り返したが、相違点は、Novex M21N(カルボン酸基(メタクリル酸)の含量約0.4mol%を有する)を、積層材料の外側層13b及び13cの両方で接着性ポリマーとして使用したことであった。従来のオートクレーブ−LDPE Novex 19N 730を、中心層として使用した。このように、3層を、温度設定290〜310〜290℃で共押出し、ウェブ速度500m/分で均等にコーティングしたが、オゾン処理は使用せず、隣接する板紙層並びにアルミ箔に対して、より低い接着を有することがわかった。板紙層と接着性ポリマー層との間に分離があり、繊維状板紙層内にごく僅かな引き裂き、いわゆる「繊維引き裂け」があった。接着は、積層材料とアルミ箔との間の約150N/mで、「そこそこ満足のいく」と判断され、即ち、参照例よりも良好であるが比較実施例1のより高い酸含量の接着性ポリマーほど良好ではなかった。積層操作の停止に起因して又は装置の加熱温度の時折のピークに起因して、溶融ポリマーに関して通常の保持時間よりも長い等の溶融及び押出装置内の困難な状況(を引き起こす)にも関わらず、ゲル形成はなかった。
比較実施例1を繰り返したが、相違点は、Novex M21N(カルボン酸基(メタクリル酸)の含量約0.4mol%を有する)を、積層材料の外側層13b及び13cの両方で接着性ポリマーとして使用したことであった。従来のオートクレーブ−LDPE Novex 19N 730を、中心層として使用した。このように、3層を、温度設定310〜310〜310℃で共押出し、ウェブ速度500m/分で均等にコーティングしたが、オゾン処理は使用しなかった。

Claims (20)
- 酸素感受性液体食品用の包装容器のための包装用積層体であって、紙又は板紙の層(11)と、気体又は蒸気障壁層の役割をする層(12)とを含み、前記層(11)及び(12)が、前記紙又は板紙(11)に直接接触する第1の接着性ポリマー組成物を含む積層材料(13)によって互いに結合されており、前記第1の接着性ポリマー組成物が、エチレンモノマー単位と、前記第1の接着性ポリマー組成物全体の1.5mol%未満の量のカルボン酸官能基を有するモノマー単位とを有するポリマー材料を含む、包装用積層体。
- 前記積層材料中の、カルボン酸官能基を有するモノマー単位の量が、前記第1の接着性ポリマー組成物全体の0.15から1.5mol%未満、好ましくは0.15から1.3mol%、より好ましくは0.15から0.7mol%、最も好ましくは0.15から0.4mol%である、請求項1に記載の包装用積層体。
- 前記第1の接着性ポリマー組成物が、60質量%までの量で低密度ポリエチレン(LDPE)を更に含む、請求項1又は2に記載の包装用積層体。
- 前記積層材料(13)が、前記紙又は板紙の層(11)に結合する能力を持つ第1の接着性ポリマー組成物の第1の層(13b)を含み、その他方の表面には、気体又は蒸気障壁の役割をする前記層(12)に結合する能力を持つ第2のポリマー層(13c)を有し、前記接着層(13b)が前記紙又は板紙の層(11)に接触しており、前記層(13c)が、障壁の役割をする前記層(12)に接触しており、前記第1の接着性ポリマー組成物が、エチレンモノマー単位と、前記第1の接着性ポリマー組成物全体の1.5mol%未満に相当するカルボン酸官能基を有するモノマー単位とを含む、酸素感受性液体食品用の包装容器のための、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の包装用積層体。
- 前記第2のポリマー層(13c)が、エチレンモノマー単位と、第2の接着性ポリマーの1.5mol%からそれ以上、好ましくは1.5mol%から3.5mol%、より好ましくは1.5mol%から3.3mol%に相当するカルボン酸官能基を有するモノマー単位と、を有するポリマーを含む第2の接着性ポリマーである、請求項4に記載の包装用積層体。
- 前記積層材料(13)が、中心ポリマー層(13a)を含み、前記中心ポリマー層(13a)が、その一方の表面に、前記紙又は板紙の層(11)に結合する能力を持つ第1の接着性ポリマー組成物の第1の層(13b)を有し、その他方の表面に、気体障壁の役割をする層(12)に結合する能力を持つ第2の接着性ポリマーの第2の層(13c)を有し、前記ポリマー層(13a)の一方の表面の前記接着層(13b)が、前記紙又は板紙の層(11)に接触しており、前記ポリマー層(13a)の他方の表面の前記接着層(13c)が、気体又は蒸気障壁の役割をする層(12)に接触しており、前記第1の接着性ポリマー組成物が、エチレンモノマー単位と、前記第1の接着性ポリマー組成物全体の1.5mol%未満に相当するカルボン酸官能基を有するモノマー単位とを含む、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の酸素感受性液体食品用の包装容器のための包装用積層体。
- 前記第1の接着性ポリマー組成物中の、カルボン酸官能基を有するモノマー単位の量が、前記第1の接着性ポリマー組成物の0.15から1.5mol%未満、好ましくは0.15から1.3mol%、より好ましくは0.15から0.7mol%、最も好ましくは0.15から0.4mol%である、請求項4から6のいずれか一項に記載の包装用積層体。
- 前記第1の接着性ポリマー又はポリマー組成物が、エチレン−アクリル酸コポリマー(EAA)及びエチレン−メタクリル酸コポリマー(EMAA)及びこれらのブレンドからなる群から選択される接着性ポリマーを含む、請求項1から7のいずれか一項に記載の包装用積層体。
- 障壁層の役割をする材料層がアルミニウムである、請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の包装用積層体。
- ヒートシール可能な食品接触層(15)が、LDPE、直鎖状低密度ポリエチレン(LLDPE)、及びシングルサイト触媒によって重合された直鎖状低密度ポリエチレン(m−LLDPE)、及びこれらの2種以上のブレンドからなる群から選択されるポリエチレンを含む、請求項1から9のいずれか一項に記載の包装用積層体。
- 前記積層材料(13a)の中心層が、10から14g/m2の厚さを有し、前記積層材料の外側接着性ポリマー層がそれぞれ、2から5g/m2、例えば3から4g/m2の厚さを有する、請求項1から10のいずれか一項に記載の包装用積層体。
- 障壁層(12)の役割をする前記材料層が、その反対側に、包装容器内の包装用積層体の内側を形成するものであり、前記障壁層(12)に直接接触する内側接着性ポリマー(16)によってポリエチレンのヒートシール可能な食品接触層(15)に結合されており、前記内側接着性ポリマーが、エチレンモノマー単位と、前記内側接着性ポリマーの1.5mol%からそれ以上、好ましくは1.5mol%から3.5mol%、より好ましくは1.5mol%から3.3mol%に相当するカルボン酸官能基を有するモノマー単位とを有するポリマーからなる、請求項1から11のいずれか一項に記載の包装用積層体。
- 前記中心ポリマー層(13a)が、ポリエチレン等のポリオレフィンを含む、請求項6から12のいずれか一項に記載の包装用積層体。
- 前記中心ポリマー層(13a)が、低密度ポリエチレン(LDPE)、直鎖状低密度ポリエチレン(LLDPE)、極低密度ポリエチレン(VLDPE)、超低密度ポリエチレン(ULDPE)、いわゆるシングルサイト触媒、メタロセン触媒、又はいわゆる拘束幾何触媒により生成された直鎖状低密度ポリエチレン(m−LLDPE)、中密度ポリエチレン(MDPE)、及び高密度ポリエチレン(HDPE)からなる群から選択されるポリエチレンを含む、請求項6から12のいずれか一項に記載の包装用積層体。
- 前記積層材料の2つの外側層(13b及び13c)内の前記接着性ポリマーが、互いに同一である、請求項6から14のいずれか一項に記載の包装用積層体。
- 第1の接着組成物と前記紙又は板紙との間の接着が、ASTMD903−98(2010)による接着試験時に前記紙又は板紙の層内に繊維引き裂けが発生するほど高い、請求項1から15のいずれか一項に記載の包装用積層体。
- アルミニウム障壁層と前記積層材料(13)との間の接着が、105N/mよりも高く、例えば200N/mよりも高い、請求項9から16のいずれか一項に記載の包装用積層体。
- 酸素感受性液体食品、例えば牛乳、ジュース、ワイン、調理用油等のための包装容器であって、請求項1から17のいずれか一項に記載の包装用積層体(10)から生成される包装容器。
- 請求項1から17のいずれか一項に記載の包装用積層体を生成する方法であって、紙又は板紙の層(11)が、積層材料(13;13b,13c;13b,13a,13c)との溶融(共)押出積層によって、気体又は蒸気障壁層の役割をする層(12)に積層される、方法。
- 前記溶融共押出積層が、オゾン処理等のいかなる表面処理もなしに行われる、請求項19に記載の方法。
