Abstract
【解決手段】一対の板材をツールのピン部で摩擦撹拌して互いに点接合する摩擦撹拌点接合装置であって、ツールを板材に向けて進退させる進退駆動器と、ツールを回転させる回転駆動器と、進退駆動器及び回転駆動器を制御する制御器とを備える。制御器は、ツールを回転させた状態で板材にピン部を押し込んでピン部に板材を加圧させる接合制御と、接合制御の後に、ツールが回転してピン部が板材に没入した状態のまま、接合制御のときよりもツールの回転数又は加圧力の少なくとも一方を減少させ、ピン部の表面温度が酸化開始温度未満になってからツールを板材から離間させる放熱制御とを実行する。

Description
以下、図面を参照して実施形態を説明する。
比較例及び実施例のツールとして、窒化珪素(Si3N4)で構成した芯体部10dを有し、ショルダー部10b及びピン部10cの表面に窒化チタン(TiN)で構成した被膜部10eが形成された同様の仕様のツール10を用いた。比較例及び実施例の各接合装置で、接合制御時のツール10の加圧力を11760N、接合制御時のツール10の回転数を1000rpm、接合時間を5.0secにそれぞれ設定した。

Claims (4)
- 一対の板材をツールのピン部で摩擦撹拌して互いに点接合する摩擦撹拌点接合装置であって、
前記ツールを前記板材に向けて進退させる進退駆動器と、
前記ツールを回転させる回転駆動器と、
前記進退駆動器及び前記回転駆動器を制御する制御器と、を備え、
前記制御器は、
前記ツールを回転させた状態で前記板材に前記ピン部を押し込んで前記ピン部に前記板材を加圧させる接合制御と、
前記接合制御の後に、前記ツールが回転して前記ピン部が前記板材に没入した状態のまま、前記接合制御のときよりも前記ツールの回転数又は加圧力の少なくとも一方を減少させ、前記ピン部の表面温度が酸化開始温度未満になってから前記ツールを前記板材から離間させる放熱制御と、を実行する、摩擦撹拌点接合装置。 - 前記ピン部の前記表面温度は、前記ピン部に形成された被膜部の表面温度である、請求項1に記載の摩擦撹拌点接合装置。
- 前記制御器は、前記接合制御に要する時間よりも短時間で前記放熱制御を実行する、請求項1又は2に記載の摩擦撹拌点接合装置。
- 一対の板材をツールのピン部で摩擦撹拌して互いに接合する摩擦撹拌点接合方法であって、
前記ツールを回転させた状態で前記板材に前記ピン部を押し込んで前記ピン部に前記板材を加圧させる接合工程と、
前記接合工程の後に、前記ツールが回転して前記ピン部が前記板材に没入した状態のまま、前記接合工程のときよりも前記ツールの回転数又は加圧力の少なくとも一方を減少させ、前記ピン部の表面温度が酸化開始温度未満になってから前記ツールを前記板材から離間させる放熱工程と、を備える、摩擦撹拌点接合方法。
