Abstract
Description
図1および図2を参照して、本実施の形態における密閉型電池100の構成について説明する。図1は、密閉型電池100の外観を示す斜視図、図2は、密閉型電池100の内部構造を示す断面図である。
次に、図3および図4を参照して、バルブ50の構造について詳細に説明する。図3は、バルブ50の構造を示す縦断面図、図4は、バルブ50の構造を示す斜視断面図である。
次に、図3、図5から図7を参照して、上記構成を有するバルブ50の動作について説明する。図5および図6は、バルブ50の動作状態を示す第1および図2縦断面図、図7は、バルブ50の動作状態を示すタイムチャートである。
図8を参照して、他の実施の形態における密閉型電池100Aについて説明する。図8は、他の実施の形態の密閉型電池100Aの外観を示す斜視図である。この密閉型電池100Aの基本的構成は、上述の密閉型電池100と同じであり、異なる点は、バルブ50の取付位置にある。上述の密閉型電池100の場合、バルブ50は、筐体10の蓋体12に設けられていたが、本実施の形態における密閉型電池100Aは、筐体10の容器本体11の側部にバルブ50が設けられている。よって、通気孔12hもバルブ50が設けられる位置に対応して、容器本体11の側部に設けられている。この構成を採用することによっても、密閉型電池100と同様の作用効果を得ることが可能である。
Claims (4)
- 密閉された筐体の内部に電池要素が収容された密閉型電池であって、
前記筐体内のガスの圧力が第1圧力未満では閉状態、前記第1圧力以上前記第2圧力未満では開状態、および、前記第2圧力以上では閉状態となるバルブと、
前記内圧が前記第2圧力を超える第3圧力に到達した場合に、前記第3圧力に応じて動作する安全機構と、
を備える、密閉型電池。 - 前記バルブは、前記筐体に設けられた通気孔を覆うように設けられ、
前記バルブは、前記通気孔が対向する位置に、前記ガスを外部に放出する排気孔を有するキャップと、
前記キャップ内に収容され、前記排気孔を開放する状態と前記排気孔を閉塞する状態との間を反転する反転板と、
前記キャップ内に収容され、前記反転板を前記通気孔側に付勢する弾性部材と、
前記通気孔を取り囲むように設けられ、前記反転板の外周領域に当接するように設けられる環状の気密保持部材と、
を有し、
前記筐体の内圧が前記第1圧力未満の場合には、前記弾性部材の付勢力により前記反転板が前記気密保持部材に押圧され、前記通気孔の前記筐体の外部との連通が遮断された状態が維持され、
前記筐体内のガスの圧力が、前記第1圧力以上前記第2圧力未満では、前記反転板に加わる内圧により、前記反転板が前記弾性部材の付勢力に対抗して前記排気孔側に移動し、前記反転板と前記気密保持部材との間に隙間が生じることで、前記通気孔と前記排気孔とが連通することにより、前記ガスが外部に放出され、
前記筐体の内圧が前記第2圧力以上では、前記反転板が前記排気孔側に向けて反転することで、前記反転板により前記排気孔を閉塞する状態となることで、前記ガスの前記排気孔からの放出が停止される、請求項1に記載の密閉型電池。 - 前記安全機構は、前記内圧が前記第3圧力以上の場合に、前記電池要素において生成される電流の流れを遮断する機構を含む、請求項1または請求項2に記載の密閉型電池。
- 前記安全機構は、前記内圧が前記第3圧力以上の場合に、前記密閉筐体の内部の前記ガスを外部に放出する防爆弁を含む、請求項1から請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の密閉型電池。
