Abstract
Description
本実施形態によれば、隔壁20aにスリット20hが形成されているため、隔壁20aに熱膨張が生じても、その熱膨張による熱応力がスリット20hに吸収される。これにより、隔壁20aが熱応力によって破損するのを防止することができる。さらに、隔壁20aやその周辺部分に生じた熱歪み等により、バルブ本体23が閉弁状態で固着することがあっても、高速運転領域における走行性能が低下するのを抑制することができる。

Claims (5)
- エンジン本体と、当該エンジン本体から排出される排気ガスの圧力により駆動される過給機との間に介設されるエンジンの排気装置であって、
前記過給機に排気ガスを導入する第1排気通路および第2排気通路と、
前記第1排気通路と前記第2排気通路との間に介在してこれらの通路を仕切る隔壁と、
前記第2排気通路内に配置され、当該第2排気通路を流れる排気ガスの流量を調節するバルブとを備え、
前記隔壁は、前記第1排気通路と前記第2排気通路とを連通させる連通部を有することを特徴とするエンジンの排気装置。 - 前記連通部は、排気ガスの流れ方向における前記隔壁の上流側端部から前記流れ方向に延びる切欠部であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のエンジンの排気装置。
- 前記連通部は、排気ガスの流れ方向に延びるスリットであることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載のエンジンの排気装置。
- 前記エンジン本体は、複数の気筒と、各気筒内で往復動するピストンとを有し、
前記第1排気通路および前記第2排気通路は、各々、前記気筒の数に応じて複数個設けられ、前記複数の第1排気通路および前記複数の第2排気通路は、各々、気筒列方向に一列に並んで配置され、
前記複数の第1排気通路と前記複数の第2排気通路との間にそれぞれ介在する前記隔壁のうち、前記気筒列方向の両端に位置する前記隔壁が前記連通部を有することを特徴とする、請求項1乃至3のいずれかに記載のエンジンの排気装置。 - 前記バルブは、前記第1排気通路と前記第2排気通路との並び方向と直交する方向に延びる軸周りに回転するバタフライバルブであり、
前記バタフライバルブは、前記第1排気通路側の端部が反第1排気通路側の端部よりも排気ガスの流れ方向における下流側に位置するように傾斜した状態で配置されていることを特徴とする、請求項1乃至4のいずれかに記載のエンジンの排気装置。
