Description

ビニル含有シリコーン塩基(委託製造業者で、ビニル含有量を0.04mmol/gとし、及びフィラー含有量を上記ビニル含有シリコーン塩基の約25重量%として、特別注文生産されたもの)96.5重量%(重量%)と、2つの水素化物架橋剤(Andersil XL−10及びGelest HMS−993など)の混合物0.95重量%と、(トリメチル)メチルシクロペンタジエニル白金(IV)などのUV活性化可能触媒の親練り1.65重量%で同触媒約16.5ppmに相当するものと、シラン型接着促進剤0.9重量%とを用いてLSR配合物を調製する。典型的な配合手順に従い、Rossミキサーのような高剪断ミキサーで、配合を行う。シリコーン配合物の粘度は、約300,000センチポアズ〜約500,000センチポアズである。
ビニル含有シリコーン塩基(委託製造業者で、ビニル含有量を0.04mmol/gとし、及びフィラー含有量を上記ビニル含有シリコーン塩基の約25重量%として、特別注文生産されたもの)96.5重量%と、2つの水素化物架橋剤(Andersil XL−10及びGelest HMS−993など)の混合物1.1重量%と、(トリメチル)メチルシクロペンタジエニル白金(IV)などのUV活性化可能触媒の親練り1.5重量%で同触媒約16.5ppmに相当するものと、(上記実施例1とは異なる)シラン型接着促進剤0.9重量%とを用いてLSR配合物を調製する。典型的な配合手順に従い、Rossミキサーのような高剪断ミキサーで、配合を行う。配合物の粘度は、約300,000センチポアズ〜約500,000センチポアズである。
実施例1と同様にLSR配合物を調製する。配合物を、Newport Solar Simulator Model 92190−1000でUV表面処理が成されたコポリエステル(Eastman Chemical Companyから市販されるTritan(商標))など、いくつかの熱可塑性材料基材で試験して、接着強度を調べる。熱可塑性材料のUV表面処理の結果を、表1に見ることができる。
実施例1同様に、2つのLSR配合物を調製する。配合物を、コポリエステル(Eastman Chemical Companyから市販されるTritan(商標))、ポリプロピレン、ポリカーボネート、ポリエステル、高粘度ゴム(HCR)等のシリコーンなど、いくつかの熱可塑性材料基材又は熱硬化性材料基材で試験して、接着強度を調べる。熱可塑性材料の表面を、300W UV LED電球を使って、80℃(176°F)の温度で、65ボルト/5+Aで、2分間UV処理する。熱可塑性材料又は熱硬化性材料のUV表面処理に対する処理されていない表面について、比較を表3に見ることができる。
Claims (15)
- 射出成形物品を形成する装置であって、
シリコーン配合物を型に送達するポンピングシステムであって、前記シリコーン配合物が約50,000センチポアズ〜約2,000,000センチポアズの粘度を有し、
前記型が外部筐体及びその中の内部空洞を有し、前記シリコーン配合物が前記型の前記空洞の中に流入するものである、ポンピングシステムと;
放射エネルギー源であって、前記放射エネルギーが前記型の前記空洞内で前記シリコーン配合物を実質的に硬化させて前記射出成形物品を形成するものである、放射エネルギー源と、
を含む、射出成形物品を形成する装置。 - 射出成形物品を形成する方法であって、
シリコーン配合物をポンピングシステム内に供給することであって、前記シリコーン配合物が約50,000センチポアズ〜約2,000,000センチポアズの粘度を有するものである、供給することと;
外部筐体及びその中の内部空洞を有する型を提供することと;
前記シリコーン配合物を前記ポンピングシステムから前記型の前記空洞に送達することと;
前記シリコーン配合物に放射源を照射して前記型の前記空洞内で前記シリコーン配合物を実質的に硬化させ、前記射出成形物品を形成することと、
を含む、射出成形物品を形成する方法。 - 射出成形物品の型であって、
外部筐体及びその中の内部空洞であって、約50,000センチポアズ〜約2,000,000センチポアズの粘度を有するシリコーン配合物を受け入れるように構成された内部空洞と;
放射エネルギー源であって、前記放射エネルギーが前記シリコーン配合物を前記型の前記空洞内で実質的に硬化させて前記シリコーン物品を形成するものである、放射エネルギー源と、
を含む、射出成形物品の型。 - 前記放射エネルギー源が前記筐体と前記空洞の間に配置される、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記型の前記筐体が、前記型の前記空洞内での熱処理の熱源をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記熱処理が約20℃〜約200℃、例えば約20℃〜約150℃、例えば約20℃〜約100℃、又は実に約40℃〜約80℃の温度でのものである、請求項5に記載の装置。
- 前記放射エネルギー及び前記熱処理の適用が、単一のエネルギー源での硬化に比較して増強した接着をもたらす、請求項5に記載の装置。
- 前記放射エネルギー及び前記熱処理が、逐次的にか、同時にか、又はそれらの組合せかで、前記シリコーン配合物に適用される、請求項5に記載の装置。
- 前記型が、熱可塑性ポリマー又は熱硬化性ポリマーを前記空洞に供給する、前記空洞へのポートをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記熱可塑性ポリマー又は熱硬化性ポリマーが、ポリカーボネート、ポリスチレン、アクリロニトリルブタジエンスチレン、ポリエステル、シリコーン、コポリエステル、フルオロポリマー、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン、又はそれらの組合せである、請求項9に記載の装置。
- 前記シリコーン配合物を供給する前に、前記熱可塑性ポリマー又は前記熱硬化性ポリマーが前記空洞に供給される、請求項9に記載の装置。
- 前記シリコーン配合物を供給する前に、前記熱可塑性ポリマー又は前記熱硬化性ポリマーの表面が少なくとも放射エネルギーで処理され、前記熱可塑性ポリマー又は前記熱硬化性ポリマーの前記処理表面が前記シリコーン配合物への向上した結合を有する、請求項11に記載の装置。
- 前記熱可塑性ポリマー又は前記熱硬化性ポリマーと前記シリコーン配合物とが、少なくとも放射エネルギーと直接接触して処理される、請求項11に記載の装置。
- 前記シリコーン配合物が、液体シリコーンゴム(LSR)、室温加硫性シリコーン(RTV)、又はそれらの組合せである、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記シリコーン配合物が接着促進剤をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
