Abstract
Description
1)反応物形状選択性:十分に小型の分子のみがゼオライト細孔に入り、化学変換を経るか吸着されることが可能である。
2)生成物形状選択性:細孔のサイズが小さすぎ、反応後に生じ得る全ての生成物がゼオライトから拡散することができるわけではない。このことは、より小さな分子または異性体への選択性を増大させる。
3)遷移状態規制形状選択性:ここでは、大きすぎる遷移状態中間体の形成は、ゼオライト細孔サイズによって回避される。図1は、異なる三種の形状選択性を示す。
一般的に、ゼオライト合成は、シリカ及びアルミナ種が溶解して反応し、より難溶性の結晶性アルミナ/シリケ-ト生成物をもたらす、結晶化処理である。結晶化処理は、典型的には、ゼオライト前駆体がオ-トクレ-ブに入れられ、比較的高温及び自生圧力下で加熱される、熱水処理において起こる。高圧はオ-トクレ-ブ内の水の蒸発によるものであり、この合成には非常に重要である。典型的な合成においては、ゼオライト前駆体は、構造指向剤(SDA)及びアルカリ水酸化物の水溶液中に溶解または懸濁されて、化学結合の切断及び形成に触媒作用を及ぼす[4]。
1)シリカ源またはアルミナ源に一種以上の金属前駆体を添加する工程;
2)一種以上の金属前駆体を還元してシリカ源またはアルミナ源の表面上に金属ナノ粒子を形成する工程;

4a)構造指向剤をカ-ボンテンプレ-ト被覆ゼオライト、ゼオライト様、またはゼオタイプの前駆体組成物に添加して、これによりゼオライト、ゼオライト様、またはゼオタイプのゲル組成物を生成させる工程;
4b)ゼオライト、ゼオライト様、またはゼオタイプのゲル組成物を、この組成物を熱水処理に処することによって結晶化させる工程;
5)カ-ボンテンプレ-ト及び構造指向剤を除去し、得られるゼオライト、ゼオライト様、またはゼオタイプのカプセル化金属ナノ粒子を単離する工程;

(特性評価の方法-X線粉末回折)
XRPDは、結晶性材料の構造解析のために広く使用されている分析方法である。これは、結晶構造の同定及び不純物相の検出のために使用される。この方法は、回折に基づき、これは、入射放射線が秩序固体と相互作用し、電子磁気放射線の波長が結晶面間の距離と同程度である場合に起こる。ほとんどの場合、ゼオライトは、粉末の形で分析され、得られた粉末X線回折図は、特定の結晶相に独特の明確な特徴(fingerprint)として使用することができる。試料中のチタンが少量であるために、TiO2が生成したか否かをXRPDで識別するのは困難である。X線粉末回折パタ-ン(XRPD)は、集束水晶モノクロメ-タ-及びHUBER G670 GuinierカメラからのCu-Kα線を使用して、転送モ-ドで測定した。
この分析的技術は、試料の表面上に向けた、電子の微細集束高エネルギ-ビ-ムを使用する。表面で反射され、二次電子を放出した電子は、検出されて、試料の表面トポグラフィ-の地図をもたらす。試料は、SEM画像の品質低下につながる局在表面帯電を妨げるために、金またはグラファイト等の導電性被覆と共に適用する必要があるかもしれない[79]。
TEMは、電子ビ-ムが超薄型試料を透過して、通過の際に試料と相互作用する、顕微鏡技術である。画像は、試料を通じて伝送される電子の相互作用から形成され、この画像は、増幅されて、造影装置、例えば蛍光スクリ-ン上に、写真フィルムの層上に、またはセンサ-、例えばCCDカメラによって検出されるように、結像される。
電子顕微鏡では、試料中に存在する元素は、入射電子ビ-ムにより特徴的なX線を追う出する。これらのX線を分析してスペクトルを得て、そこから存在する元素の定性的および定量的な両方の結果を得ることができる[79]。しかしながら、この方法でゼオライト等の試料に正確な定量的結果を取得することは不可能に近いことから、いくつか注意すべき点がある。
固体触媒のための重要なパラメ-タ-は、反応物質のための活性部位の利用可能性である。これを測定する従来の方法は、77Kでの窒素ガスの物理吸着による。この方法は、マイクロ、メソ、及びマクロ細孔の範囲内における、表面積と細孔サイズ分布との両方についての情報を提供する。この方法は、N2の段階的な吸着であり、まず単層が形成され、N2の圧力が増大するにつれて多層が形成され始める。生成したN2物理吸着等温線は非常に明確であり、IUPACによって6種類に分類されており[80]、これらは図3に示される。マイクロ細孔固体、例えばゼオライトの窒素物理吸着は、典型的にはI型の等温線を生じる。これらは、比較的低い圧力で起こり、内部表面積ではなく利用可能なマイクロ細孔容積によって制御される、制限された取り込みによって特徴づけられる。IV型等温線は、メソ細孔材料を分析する場合に最も一般的である。吸着枝と脱着枝との間のヒステリシスル-プは、このタイプの等温線の非常に特徴的な特性であり、かつメソ細孔で起こる毛管凝縮に起因すると思われる。II、III、V、およびVI型は、一般的には、非細孔のマクロ細孔または吸着力の弱い材料に典型的であることから、ゼオライト材料については一般に観察されない[80]。
紫外-可視(UV-Vis)スペクトル領域における放射線に分子を暴露することで、分光法を、分析物の濃度を決定するために応用することができる。しかしながら、試料の重要な特徴が得られる。試料及び配位子錯体中のd-d遷移の配位環境が、これらの励起に必要な特定のエネルギ-のために、検出し決定することが可能である。しかしながら、粉末触媒試料の場合には、入射光が試料を貫通することができず、ほぼ完全に拡散される。したがって、透過分光法を利用することは不可能であり、その代わりに拡散反射(DR)分光法を適用せねばならない。総じて、この方法は、製造された触媒中に存在するチタン種の決定において、大きな財産として機能することができる。DR UV-Visスペクトルを、内部標準としてspectralon(登録商標)を用いるCARY 5000分光計で得た。
メソ細孔シリカ(Merk、シリカゲル100、粒子サイズ0.063〜0.200mm、細孔直径が15nm、細孔容積が1.15ml/g)を、金属ナノ粒子を含むメソ細孔ゼオライトの合成に使用した。シリカを、使用前に80℃にて24時間乾燥させた。他の全ての試薬は、試薬等級であり、さらなる精製なしに使用された:テトラエチルオルトシリケ-ト(TEOS、98質量%、Aldrich)、テトラエチルオルトチタネ-ト(TEOT、98質量%、Aldrich)、テトラプロピルアンモニウムヒドロキシド(TPAOH、40質量%、Fluka)、過酸化水素(H2O2、40質量%、Aldrich)。
本明細書中に開示される新規な合成法によって調製したゼオライトは、プロペンを使用する以下の方法によって調整してよく、カ-ボンテンプレ-ト被覆ゼオライト、ゼオライト様、またはゼオタイプの前駆体組成物が生成する。まず、2.5グラムのシリカに金属硝酸塩溶液、例えば。硝酸ニッケルを初期湿潤にまで含浸させる。これは、80℃にて一晩放置する。固形物を、その後、チュ-ブオ-ブン中、アルゴン気流中で600℃に加熱する。窒素中10%水素の気体混合物を、その後合計4時間にわたって流す。その後、温度を、アルゴン雰囲気下で550℃にまで低下させる。アルゴン雰囲気下で550℃まで温度を低下させる代わりに、やはりアルゴン雰囲気下で700℃にまで昇温でもよい。
いくつかの実験が行われ、様々なパラメ-タ-を持つ炭素添加が試験された。炭素添加の後、いくつかが合成されて、HZSM-5、TS-1、またはその両方となった。表1は、異なる金属及びパラメ-タ-を用いた炭素対シリカ比(質量基準)の炭素取り込みを示す。純粋なシリカは炭素を全く取り込まず、これは、プロペン処理の後に色が変化しないことによっても証明された。これが従来のゼオライトを生成するのみであろうことから、その後のゼオライト合成は行われなかった。ニッケル-SiO2上の炭素取り込みは、金属担持とプロペン流との両方を変化させることによって変更可能であることが判明した。ニッケル担持の増大もまた、線形相関で炭素取込を増大させた。プロペンの流れを変化させることにより、炭素取込みを変更することがある程度可能であった。51ml/分から67ml/分の流量の増加が、C/SiO2比に0.34から0.74の増加をもたらした。これは、流速を別途増大させてもさらなる増加はしなかった。鉄は、C/SiO2比0.03の、非常に限られた取込を示した。シリカは、プロペン処理後には黒色であり、炭素の取込が確認された。
ゼオライト触媒の結晶性の比較のために、XRPDパタ-ンを合成及び続く焼成の後に記録した。合成された全TS-1触媒についてのパタ-ンを図4に示す。ゼオライト試料が、不純物及びアモルファス相が存在しない、高度結晶性構造を含むことが明らかである。チタンがフレ-ムワ-ク内以外の別の構造(confirmation)中に存在するならば、チタン含量は非常に少ないために識別は困難である。さらに、全パタ-ンが、シリカライト-1のパタ-ンに合致し、MFI構造が確認される。本明細書中に開示される合成方法(ニッケル-プロペン法)によって製造されたNi-0.74-TS-1触媒には、XRPD分析も行った。結果は図5に示す。触媒は、MFI構造を有する試料と同様の特性パタ-ンを示す。さらにまた、アモルファス相及び不純物の存在は見られず、試料は高度結晶性であった。
合成された全ての触媒に、SEM分析を行った。これは、製造された触媒の形態を調査するために行われた。図6では、従来の及びメソ細孔TS-1を、脱シリカ被覆された対応物と比較する。図6aで、従来のTS-1は、0.2〜0.4μmのサイズの立方晶系の棺状結晶を明示している。このサイズ範囲の結晶では、拡散制限が、メソ細孔を導入することなく最小限に低減されている。脱シリカ被覆TS-1は、図6bに示される。これは、明確に一貫した構造またはサイズをもたない、より小さな結晶の凝集を示す。従来のTS-1と比較すると、図6cのメソ細孔試料は、1.5〜2.5μmの範囲の結晶サイズを有して格段に大型である。従来のTS-1については表面が非常に滑らかな一方で、メソ細孔試料は、より「スポンジ」様形状を示す。図6dの脱シリカ被覆されたメソ細孔TS-1は、別の脱シリカ被覆試料と同様の特徴の幾つかを示す。これらの類似性は、より小さな結晶の凝集、及び明確な構造もサイズもないことである。しかしながら、元のメソ細孔試料の形状がかすかに見られる。
EDSを用いて、試料中に存在する元素を質的に測定した。合成された全てのTS-1触媒は、チタン、ケイ素、及び酸素の存在を示した。さらに、ニッケルナノ粒子のコ-クス化によって調製された試料もまた、ニッケルの存在を示した。試料中に存在するニッケルの正確な値を得るには、ゼオライトの溶解からなり、次いで誘導結合プラズマ(ICP)を含む方法を適用しうる。
合成された材料のテクスチャ-特性は、窒素を用いた吸着-脱着分析によって測定した。観測されたSBET、外部表面積、Sext、マイクロ細孔、及び全細孔容積を表2にまとめる。BET値は、cdTS-1及びcTS-1についてはより小さい。論理的には、試料は、メソ細孔の導入後に外部表面積の増大を示す。cTS-1が最大の外部表面を有し、dTS-1は幾分小さく、cdTS-1は興味深いことに、cTS-1とdTS-1との平均に相当する値を有する。マイクロ細孔の容積についても同様である。図9は、試料の等温線を示す。物理吸着等温線のIUPAC分類によれば、従来のTS-1は、P/P0<0.1で吸着枝に急激な遷移を有し、中間の相対圧力ではほぼ吸着のない、I型等温線を有する。これは、ゼオライト等の純粋なマイクロ細孔材料には典型的である。
図13は、DR-UV-Visの分光分析の結果を示す。TS-1は、47600cm-1(210nm)にて極大を示し、これは四面体配位でのTi種フレ-ムワ-クの空の3d軌道への酸素2p電子の電荷移動の特徴である。このバンドは、チタンシリケ-トフレ-ムワ-クにおける四面体配位のTi(OSi)4種の明確な特徴として知られる。脱シリカ被覆した試料の、約45500cm-1(220nm)における高波長へのわずかなシフトは、三脚四面体のTi(OSi)3OH及び四脚のTi(OSi)4が同時に存在することを示唆している。これは、Ti4+の増大した表面密度により、脱シリカ被覆処理に起因し得る。この硬化は、脱シリカ被覆試料、cdTS-1及びdTS-1においてのみ明らかである。
以上の示し、議論した、プロペンベ-スの合成に代えて、本明細書中に開示した新規な合成方法により調製されたゼオライトは、メタンを使用する以下の方法によって調製され、カ-ボンテンプレ-ト被覆ゼオライト、ゼオライト様、またはゼオタイプ前駆体組成物を形成してもよい。まず、5グラムのシリカに硝酸ニッケル溶液を初期湿潤まで含浸させる。得られたと材料は、典型的には約2質量%のNi金属を含んでいた。これを一晩放置した。固形物を、その後、チュ-ブオ-ブン中、アルゴン気流中で600℃に加熱し、その後気体を窒素中10%の水素に交換して4時間流した。温度を、アルゴン雰囲気下で550℃にまで低下させる。アルゴン雰囲気下で550℃まで温度を低下させる代わりに、やはりアルゴン雰囲気下で700℃にまで昇温させてもよい。

Claims (16)
- 1)シリカ源またはアルミナ源に一種以上の金属前駆体を添加する工程;
2)一種以上の金属前駆体を還元してシリカ源またはアルミナ源の表面上に金属ナノ粒子を形成する工程;
3)気体炭化水素、アルキルアルコ-ル、またはアルキルエ-テルを、シリカもしくはアルミナ担持金属ナノ粒子上を通過させて、カ-ボンテンプレ-ト被覆ゼオライト、ゼオライト様、またはゼオタイプの前駆体組成物を形成する工程;
4a)構造指向剤をカ-ボンテンプレ-ト被覆ゼオライト、ゼオライト様、またはゼオタイプの前駆体組成物に添加して、これによりゼオライト、ゼオライト様、またはゼオタイプのゲル組成物を生成させる工程;
4b)ゼオライト、ゼオライト様、またはゼオタイプのゲル組成物を、この組成物を熱水処理に処することによって結晶化させる工程;
5)カ-ボンテンプレ-ト及び構造指向剤を除去し、得られるゼオライト、ゼオライト様、またはゼオタイプのカプセル化金属ナノ粒子を単離する工程;
を含む、ゼオライト、ゼオライト様、またはゼオタイプのカプセル化金属ナノ粒子製造方法。 - 工程3のカ-ボンテンプレ-ト被覆ゼオライト、ゼオライト様、またはゼオタイプ前駆体組成物が、シリカ源またはアルミナ源を除去することなく工程4aに直接使用される、請求項1に記載のゼオライト、ゼオライト様、またはゼオタイプのカプセル化金属ナノ粒子製造方法。
- 前記一種以上の金属が、4族の元素、6族の元素、7族の元素、8族の元素、9族の元素、10族の元素、11族の元素、または12族の元素、あるいはこれらの混合物からなる群より選択される、請求項1または2に記載のゼオライト、ゼオライト様、またはゼオタイプのカプセル化金属ナノ粒子製造方法。
- 前記一種以上の金属が、チタン、オスミニウム、イリジウム、白金、ルテニウム、パラジウム、ロジウム、レニウム、銅、ニッケル、鉄、コバルト、銀、金、カドミウム、モリブデン、またはこれらの混合物から成る群より選択される、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載のゼオライト、ゼオライト様、またはゼオタイプのカプセル化金属ナノ粒子製造方法。
- 前記炭化水素が、1〜8の炭素原子、1〜3の炭素原子を有する脂肪族炭化水素、2〜6の炭素原子を有するアルケン、6〜10の炭素原子を有する芳香族炭化水素、及び3〜8の炭素原子を有する環状炭化水素から選択される、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載のゼオライト、ゼオライト様、またはゼオタイプのカプセル化金属ナノ粒子製造方法。
- 一種以上の金属前駆体が、0.5〜20質量%、0.5〜5質量%、0.5〜2質量%、または約1質量%の量で、工程1の間にシリカまたはアルミナに担持される、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載のゼオライト、ゼオライト様、またはゼオタイプのカプセル化金属ナノ粒子製造方法。
- Al、Sn、Ti、Zr、またはGe源を、工程4aの間に添加することを含む、請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載のゼオライト、ゼオライト様、またはゼオタイプのカプセル化金属ナノ粒子製造方法。
- 前記熱水処理が、ゼオライト、ゼオライト様、またはゼオタイプゲルの組成物が、オ-トクレ-ブまたは開放フラスコ中の自生圧力下で24時間以上に亘って70〜300℃、好ましくは180℃の温度で加熱されることを含む、請求項1から7のいずれか一項に記載のゼオライト、ゼオライト様、またはゼオタイプのカプセル化金属ナノ粒子製造方法。
- 請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の方法によって製造された、ゼオライト、ゼオライト様、またはゼオタイプカプセル化金属ナノ粒子。
- 前記金属ナノ粒子が、優位に、例えばカプセル化金属ナノ粒子の全量の70%以上、80%以上、90%以上、または95%以上がゼオライト構造の二次孔隙に位置する、請求項9に記載のゼオライト、ゼオライト様、またはゼオタイプのカプセル化金属ナノ粒子。
- 前記粒子が、階層メソ多孔質ゼオライト、ゼオライト様、またはゼオタイプ粒子である、請求項9または10に記載のゼオライト、ゼオライト様、またはゼオタイプのカプセル化金属ナノ粒子。
- 前記金属ナノ粒子の量が、0.1〜25質量%の範囲、0.5〜20質量%の範囲、0.5〜10質量%の範囲、0.5〜5質量%の範囲、1.0〜5質量%の範囲、1〜2質量%の範囲、または約1質量%である、請求項9から11のいずれか一項に記載のゼオライト、ゼオライト様、またはゼオタイプのカプセル化金属ナノ粒子。
- 一種以上の金属が、4族の元素、6族の元素、7族の元素、8族の元素、9族の元素、10族の元素、11族の元素、または12族の元素、あるはこれらの混合物からなる群より選択される、請求項9から12のいずれか一項に記載のゼオライト、ゼオライト様、またはゼオタイプのカプセル化金属ナノ粒子。
- 前記一種以上の金属が、チタン、オスミニウム、イリジウム、白金、ルテニウム、パラジウム、ロジウム、レニウム、銅、ニッケル、鉄、コバルト、銀、金、カドミウム、モリブデン、またはこれらの混合物から成る群より選択される、請求項9から13のいずれか一項に記載のゼオライト、ゼオライト様、またはゼオタイプのカプセル化金属ナノ粒子。
- Al、Sn、Ti、Zr、またはGe源を、結晶構造のフレ-ムワ-クに含む、請求項9から14のいずれか一項に記載のゼオライト、ゼオライト様、またはゼオタイプのカプセル化金属ナノ粒子。
- 形状選択的触媒反応における請求項9から15のいずれか一項に記載のゼオライト、ゼオライト様、またはゼオタイプのカプセル化金属ナノ粒子の使用。
