シリコーンマトリクス分散体中のCe:YAGを複数作製した。ロールミルを用いて、5μmから10μmの間のサイズを有する市販のCe:YAG粉末を分散させた。まず、最高濃度のサンプルを作製し(C1)、続けて希釈によって、他のサンプルC2、C3、S1を作製した。
UV‐Vis JASCO分光計を用いて、例1で説明した多様なサンプルを、可視波長スペクトルに対する吸光係数について特性評価した。
15cm×15cm×3cmのサンドイッチ構造を、二つの外側ガラス層と、中間複合層とで作製した。複合層を、液体ポリビニルブチラール前駆体を、310nmにピークのある半径を有するSiO2球と混合して作製した。マトリクス中のSiO2の濃度は、5×10−6Vol/Volであった。誘電体粒子の屈折率とマトリクスの屈折率との間の比mは0.99であった、液体分散体を、ドクターブレード法を用いてガラスの上に堆積させて、厚さ0.4mmの層を得た。N2環境でのUV硬化によって、in situ(その場、インサイチュー)で重合化が生じた。液体分散体の厚さ数マイクロメートルの層を硬化層の上に堆積させて、キャッピングガラス層を配置した。同じ条件下で二回目の重合化を適用した。

- 前記透明素子(11、21、31)が長方形又は正方形の形状を有する、請求項1から7のいずれか一項に記載の複合透明照明デバイス。
- 前記透明素子の周囲(12、12’、22)の前記個別光源(13、13’、23、23’、33、33’)の数が、デバイス周囲に沿った長さ1メートル当たり5Wと18Wとの間のパワーに対応する、請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の複合透明照明デバイス。
- 前記個別光源(13、13’、23、23’、33、33’)からの総光出力が、前記複合透明照明デバイス(10、20、30)の表面の1平方メートル当たり2000ルーメンと5000ルーメンとの間である、請求項1から9のいずれか一項に記載の複合透明照明デバイス。
- 前記個別光源(13、13’、23、23’、33、33’)が、LED、OLED、OLETを備える、請求項1から10のいずれか一項に記載の複合透明照明デバイス。
