導光システムは好ましくは、WO 2009/141295に記載されるように構築される。導光システムは、デバイスに衝突する光を収集し、濃縮する。それは好ましくは、液晶媒体を含む切り替え層における蛍光性二色性色素により発せられる光を、収集し、濃縮する。導光システムは、光エネルギーの電気エネルギーへの変換のためのデバイス、好ましくは太陽電池と接触し、そのため収集された光は濃縮された形態でこれに衝突する。
本願において、液晶化合物の構造は、略号(頭文字)により再現される。これらの略号は、WO 2012/052100(63〜89頁)において明示的に提示され、かつ説明されており、そのため、本願における略号の説明のために、該公開出願への参照がなされる。
1)デバイスの構築のための手順
本発明によるデバイスE−1〜E−6および比較デバイスV−1〜V−9を製造する。
本発明によるデバイスは、以下の層順序を有する:
a) ガラス層、研磨した1.1mmソーダライムガラスを含む、Corningから
b) ITO層、200Å
c) 配列層、JSRからのポリイミドAL−1054を含む、300Å
d) 液晶層(2のもとで示される組成)、24.3μm
e) c)に同じ
f) b)に同じ
g) a)に同じ
配列層を逆平行にラビングする。
ITO層を適切な接触で提供し、電気的に切り替え可能にする。
比較デバイスを、切り替え層におけるホストおよび/または色素および/または色素濃度の選択に起因して、パラメーターτv 明(明状態における光透過の程度)およびR(異方性の程度)の一方または両方が、本発明による範囲外にあるという差異を有するように、本発明によるデバイスのようにして構築する。
1) 異方性Rの程度は、550nmにおいて、2つのガラスシートを、配列層およびその間に二色性色素を含む液晶媒体とともに含み、色素分子が平行に配列したデバイスの、吸光度に関する値E(p)、および色素分子が垂直に配列した、同一のデバイスの吸光度に関する値E(s)から、決定する。色素分子の平行配列は、配列層により達成される。デバイスの吸光度は、色素を含まないが、それ以外は同一の構築を有するデバイスに対して測定される。測定は、その振動面が1つの場合においては、配列方向に対して平行に振動し(E(p))、および後続の測定においては配列方向に対して垂直に振動する(E(s))、偏光を用いて実行する。サンプルは、測定の間は、切り替えも回転もしない。それゆえE(p)およびE(s)の測定は、入射偏光の振動面の回転により実行される。
R = [E(p)−E(s)] / [E(p)+2*E(s)]
に従って計算される。
光透過τv 明の程度は、透過の測定スペクトル的程度から、標準発光の相対的スペクトル分布および標準観察者の明度感度のスペクトル程度を考慮に入れて、欧州EN410規格、式(1)(ガラスの発光および日光特性の決定)に従い、決定する。
Claims (20)
- 光透過性領域を通る光の通過を調節するためのデバイスであって、該デバイスは、少なくとも1種の二色性色素を含む液晶媒体を含む少なくとも1つの切り替え層を含み、ならびに該切り替え層は、少なくとも0.65の程度の異方性R、および40%〜90%の程度の、EN410規格による明状態における光透過τv 明を有する、前記デバイス。
- 請求項1に記載のデバイスであって、切り替え層に直接的に隣接して配置される、1つまたは2つ以上の配列層を含むことを特徴とする、前記デバイス。
- 請求項1または2に記載のデバイスであって、ちょうど2つの配列層を含み、その一方が切り替え層の一側に隣接し、かつ他方が該切り替え層の反対側に隣接することを特徴とし、およびここで該2つの配列層が、該切り替え層の両側において、液晶媒体の分子の、平行な、または90°回転した優先方向を引き起こす、前記デバイス。
- 請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載のデバイスであって、液晶媒体の分子のホモジニアス配列が電界なし状態において存在することを特徴とし、ここで該分子が切り替え層の両側において互いに平行に配列する、前記デバイス。
- 請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載のデバイスであって、電圧による、切り替え層の液晶媒体の分子の配列のための手段を含むことを特徴とする、前記デバイス。
- 請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載のデバイスであって、切り替え層からの光を、光エネルギーを電気エネルギーまたは熱エネルギーへと変換するユニットへと伝導する、導光システムを含むことを特徴とする、前記デバイス。
- 請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載のデバイスであって、本発明によるデバイスの、切り替えのための手段へと電気的に接続された、光エネルギーを電気エネルギーへと変換するためのデバイスを含むことを特徴とする、前記デバイス。
- 請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載のデバイスであって、抗反射設計を有する、1つまたは2つ以上のガラス層を含むことを特徴とする、前記デバイス。
- 請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載のデバイスであって、ちょうど1つの切り替え層を含むことを特徴とする、前記デバイス。
- 請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載のデバイスであって、切り替え層が3種または4種以上の異なる二色性色素を含むことを特徴とする、前記デバイス。
- 請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載のデバイスであって、二色性色素の少なくとも1種が発光性であることを特徴とする、前記デバイス。
- 請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載のデバイスであって、二色性色素の少なくとも1種が、アゾ化合物類、アントラキノン類、メチン化合物類、アゾメチン化合物類、メロシアニン化合物類、ナフトキノン類、テトラジン類、ペリレン類、テリレン類、クアテリレン類、高級リレン類およびピロメテン類から選択されることを特徴とする、前記デバイス。
- 請求項1〜12のいずれか一項に記載のデバイスであって、少なくとも0.05m2の面積を有することを特徴とする、前記デバイス。
- 請求項1〜13のいずれか一項に記載のデバイスであって、切り替え層が0.7〜0.9の程度の異方性Rを有することを特徴とする、前記デバイス。
- 請求項1〜14のいずれか一項に記載のデバイスであって、切り替え層が60%〜85%の、明状態における光透過性τv 明の程度を有することを特徴とする、前記デバイス。
- 請求項1〜15のいずれか一項に記載のデバイスであって、切り替え層の、与えられたパラメーターRに対する、切り替え層のパラメーターτv 明に、以下が適用されることを特徴とする、前記デバイス:

τv 明 最小 = 0.8*(67*R + 30) および τv 明 最大 = 1.2*(67*R + 30)。 - 請求項1〜15のいずれか一項に記載のデバイスであって、与えられたパラメーターτv 明に対する切り替え層のパラメーターRに、以下が適用されることを特徴とする、前記デバイス:

R最小 = 0.8*(0.015*τv 明 − 0.45) および R最大 = 1.2*(0.015*τv 明 − 0.45)。 - 請求項1〜17のいずれか一項に記載のデバイスであって、該デバイスが2つまたは3つ以上のガラス層を含むこと、ならびに切り替え層を除くデバイスの、全体の層の、EN410規格による光反射ρvの程度が、35%未満、好ましくは30%未満、特に好ましくは25%未満および非常に特に好ましくは20%未満であることを特徴とする、前記デバイス。
- 請求項1〜18のいずれか一項に記載の少なくとも1つのデバイスを含む、多数枚の絶縁ガラスを含む、窓。
- 請求項1〜18のいずれか一項に記載のデバイスの、光透過性領域を通る内部空間への光の通過を調節するための、使用。
