前記シリンダライナ(50)の前記上部に対向する第1の面(53)を有する前記シリンダカバー(52)であって、前記シリンダライナの前記上部が前記シリンダカバー(52)に対向する第2の面(51)を有する、前記シリンダカバー(52)と、
前記第1の面(53)と前記第2の面(51)との間のシールリング(60)であって、高さ(h)と、その径方向内側面(63)とその径方向外側面(64)との間の幅(w)とを有する前記シールリング(60)と
を備え、
前記第1の面(53)または前記第2の面(51)には、深さ(d)と、前記シールリング(60)の前記幅(w)に対応する幅(W)とを有する環状の凹部(70)が設けられ、
前記深さ(d)は前記高さ(h)よりも浅く、
前記シールリング(60)は、前記シールリング(60)の前記高さ(h)の方向において、その一部が前記凹部(70)から突出した状態で前記環状凹部(70)内に受け入れられ、
前記シールリング(60)は前記凹部(70)に固定される、

- 前記シールリング(60)は、前記シールリング(60)と前記凹部(70)との間の幾何学的係止により前記凹部(70)に固定される、請求項1または2に記載のエンジン。
- 前記凹部(70)は、平坦な底面(71)と、前記底面(71)に向かって広がるテーパ状側面(72、73)とを有し、
前記シールリング(60)は、上面(61)と、前記上面(61)の反対側の底面(62)とを有し、前記上面(61)と前記底面(62)とは、前記底面(62)に向かって広がるテーパ状側面(63,64)によって接続されており、
前記シールリング(60)は、前記シールリング(60)の前記底面(62)が前記凹部(70)の前記底面(71)に対向した状態で前記凹部(70)内に配置される、請求項3に記載のエンジン。 - 前記シールリング(60)は、前記環状凹部(70)内に挿入されるときには湾曲しており、前記シールリング(60)の上面(61)が凸状であり、前記シールリング(60)の底面(62)が凹状であり、前記シールリング(60)の側面(63、64)は実質的に平行である、請求項4に記載のエンジン。
- 前記シールリング(60)は、前記シリンダカバー(52)が前記シリンダライナ(50)に装着されたときに平坦に押圧され、それにより、前記シールリング(60)の前記側面(63、64)は前記凹部(70)の前記側面(72、73)のテーパ形態と一致するテーパ形態をとり、それにより、前記凹部(70)と前記シールリング(60)とを幾何学的に相互に係止する、請求項5に記載のエンジン。
- 前記シールリング(60)および前記凹部(70)が、環状の蟻継ぎを形成する、請求項5または6に記載のエンジン。
- 前記シールリング(60)は、圧入により前記凹部(70)に固定される、請求項1または2に記載のエンジン。
- 前記シールリング(60)は、(例えば、ボルト等の)締結具により前記凹部(70)に固定される、請求項1または2に記載のエンジン。
- 大型ターボ過給型自己着火式2サイクル内燃エンジンのシリンダライナ(50)とシリンダカバー(52)との間をシールするための軟質金属製シールリング(60)であって、前記シールリング(60)は、側面(63、64)により接続される上面(61)と底面(62)とを有し、前記上面(61)は凸状であり、前記底面(62)は凹状であり、かつ前記側面(63、64)は実質的に平行であることを特徴とする、軟質金属製シールリング(60)。
- 前記上面(61)と前記底面(62)が略平坦形状をとりかつ前記側面(63、64)が前記底面(62)に向かって広がるテーパ形態をとるように、前記シリンダライナ(50)とシリンダカバー(52)との間に取り付けられたときに平坦に押圧されるように構成される、請求項10に記載の軟質金属製シールリング(60)。
