Abstract
Description
図2(A)は本発明の一態様の二次電池10を示す。図2(B)は図2(A)に示す一点鎖線A1−A2の断面を、図2(C)は図2(A)に示す一点鎖線B1−B2の断面を、それぞれ示す。
図1乃至図4等に示す二次電池10では、正極111及び負極115をそれぞれ単層で用いる構成としたが、本発明はこれに限られるものではない。例えば、二次電池10において、正極111及び負極115を複数積層して用いる構成としてもよい。その一例を図15に示す。図15(A)は、図1(A)の一点鎖線A1―A2に対応する断面図であり、図15(B)は、図1(B)の一点鎖線B1―B2に対応する断面図を示す。
二次電池10の作製方法について説明する。
次に、図1および図5に示す構造において、上面からみた面積あたりの容量を算出する。
以下に、二次電池10の正極111、負極115、セパレータ103、電解液104、外装体107に用いることのできる材料について説明する。
正極111は、正極集電体101と、正極集電体101上に形成された正極活物質層102などにより構成される。
負極115は、負極集電体105と、負極集電体105上に形成された負極活物質層106などにより構成される。
セパレータ103を形成するための材料として、セルロースや、ポリプロピレン(PP)、ポリエチレン(PE)、ポリブテン、ナイロン、ポリエステル、ポリスルホン、ポリアクリロニトリル、ポリフッ化ビニリデン、テトラフルオロエチレン等の多孔性絶縁体を用いることができる。また、ガラス繊維等の不織布や、ガラス繊維と高分子繊維を複合した隔膜を用いてもよい。
二次電池10に用いる電解液104の溶媒としては、非プロトン性有機溶媒が好ましく、例えば、エチレンカーボネート(EC)、プロピレンカーボネート(PC)、ブチレンカーボネート、クロロエチレンカーボネート、ビニレンカーボネート、γ−ブチロラクトン、γ−バレロラクトン、ジメチルカーボネート(DMC)、ジエチルカーボネート(DEC)、エチルメチルカーボネート(EMC)、ギ酸メチル、酢酸メチル、酪酸メチル、1,3−ジオキサン、1,4−ジオキサン、ジメトキシエタン(DME)、ジメチルスルホキシド、ジエチルエーテル、メチルジグライム、アセトニトリル、ベンゾニトリル、テトラヒドロフラン、スルホラン、スルトン等の1種、又はこれらのうちの2種以上を任意の組み合わせ及び比率で用いることができる。
二次電池の構造としては、様々な構造があるが、本実施の形態では、例えば外装体107の形成にはシート状の部材を用いる。例えば、フィルムを用いる。なお、外装体107を形成するためのフィルムは金属フィルム(アルミニウム、ステンレス、ニッケル鋼など)、有機材料からなるプラスチックフィルム、有機材料(有機樹脂や繊維など)と無機材料(セラミックなど)とを含むハイブリッド材料フィルム、炭素含有無機フィルム(カーボンフィルム、グラファイトフィルムなど)から選ばれる単層フィルムまたはこれら複数からなる積層フィルムを用いる。
上記実施の形態で説明した材料を含む二次電池と組み合わせて用いることができる電池制御ユニット(Battery Management Unit:BMU)、及び該電池制御ユニットを構成する回路に適したトランジスタについて、図23乃至図29を参照して説明する。本実施の形態では、特に直列に接続された電池セルを有する蓄電装置の電池制御ユニットについて説明する。
本実施の形態では、実施の形態1で説明した二次電池を電子機器に実装する例について説明する。
本実施の形態では、実施の形態1で説明した二次電池を搭載することのできる電子機器の他の例を示す。
本実施の形態では、車両に実施の形態1で説明した二次電池を搭載する例を示す。

- 外装体と、第1の端子と、第2の端子と、を有する二次電池であり、
前記外装体は、前面と、背面と、第1の封止部と、第2の封止部と、を有し、
前記前面は、第1の長辺と、第2の長辺と、第3の辺と、第4の辺と、を有し、
前記第3の辺と、前記第4の辺は向かい合って位置し、
前記第3の辺および前記第4の辺は前記第1の長辺と概略垂直に位置し、
前記前面は、第3の封止部を有し、
前記第1の封止部は、前記第3の辺に沿って設けられ、
前記第2の封止部は、前記第4の辺に沿って設けられ、
前記第3の封止部は、前記第1の封止部と重なる領域と、前記第2の封止部と重なる領域と、を有し、
前記第1の端子および前記第2の端子のうち少なくともいずれか一は、前記第1の封止部に設けられる二次電池。 - 請求項1において、
前記外装体は前記第1の長辺を含む第1の側部と、前記第2の長辺を含む第2の側部と、を有し、
