Abstract
Description
還元性雰囲気の下であっても酸化性雰囲気の下であっても、NOxを還元する三元触媒材料、および酸化性雰囲気の下でNOxを還元するための方法を提供する。よって、三元触媒材料および方法は、車両用の触媒材料に有用である。理解すべきことは、用語「酸化性雰囲気」は、所定の気体雰囲気の理論比によって決められた酸素よりも高いレベルまたは量の酸素を有する気体雰囲気を意味することである。
Claims (12)
- 還元性雰囲気の下であっても酸化性雰囲気の下であっても、他のガスを酸化するとともに、NOxを還元するための方法であって、
化学式BaAyDzCe(1−y−z)O3−δを有するドープされたバリウムセラートマトリックスから作られた三元触媒材料を提供する工程を備え、
式中、Aは、Ru、Au、Ag、Pd、Pt、IrおよびRhからなる群から選択される少なくとも1つの貴金属であり、Dは、Ti、V、Mn、Fe、Co、Ni、CuおよびYからなる群から選択される少なくとも1つの遷移金属であり、yおよびzは各々、0.00以上0.20以下の値であり、
COと未燃焼HCとNOxとを含む燃焼後の燃料−空気の雰囲気を提供する工程と、
前記燃焼後の燃料−空気の雰囲気を前記三元触媒材料の外表面上に通過させる工程とを備え、
前記三元触媒材料の前記外表面は、同一の燃料−空気の雰囲気の下で、COをCO2に酸化し、未燃焼HCをCO2およびH2Oに酸化し、NOxをN2およびO2に還元する、方法。 - 前記Aは、Ru、Au、Ag、Pd、Pt、IrおよびRhからなる群から選択される少なくとも1つの貴金属である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記Aは、Ru、Au、Ag、Pd、Pt、IrおよびRhの組合わせである、請求項2に記載の方法。
- zは、0.01以上0.20以下の値である、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記三元触媒材料の前記外表面は、複数のCO酸化触媒部位でCOをCO2に酸化し、複数のNOx還元触媒部位でNOxを還元する、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記燃焼後の燃料−空気の雰囲気は、酸化性雰囲気である、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 酸化剤の存在下で、NOxを還元するための三元触媒材料であって、
前記三元触媒材料は、化学式BaAyDzCe(1−y−z)O3−δを有するドープされたバリウムセラートマトリックスを含み、
式中、Aは、Ru、Au、Ag、Pd、Pt、IrおよびRhからなる群から選択される少なくとも1つの貴金属であり、Dは、Ti、V、Mn、Fe、Co、Ni、CuおよびYからなる群から選択される少なくとも1つの遷移金属であり、
yは、0.01以上0.20以下の値であり、
zは、0.00以上0.20以下の値であり、
前記ドープされたバリウムセラートマトリックスは、COと未燃焼HCとNOxとを含む燃焼後の燃料−空気の雰囲気の下で、COをCO2に酸化し、未燃焼HCをCO2およびH2Oに酸化し、NOxをN2およびO2に還元する外表面を有する、三元触媒材料。 - 前記Aは、PdおよびRhからなる群から選択される少なくとも1つの貴金属である、請求項7に記載の三元触媒材料。
- 前記Aは、Pdと、Pt、IrおよびRhのうち少なくとも1つとの組合わせである、請求項8に記載の三元触媒材料。
- zは、0.01以上0.20以下の値である、請求項9に記載の三元触媒材料。
- 前記外表面は、複数のCO酸化触媒部位と、複数のNOx還元触媒部位とを有し、
前記複数のNOx還元触媒部位は、前記外表面上で、前記複数のCO酸化触媒部位と異なる位置にある、請求項10に記載の三元触媒材料。 - 前記外表面は、前記Aからなるナノ粒子および前記Dからなるナノ粒子を含まない、請求項11に記載の三元触媒材料。
