Abstract
Description
図1は、第1の実施形態に係る磁気記録ヘッド100を概略的に示している。磁気記録ヘッド100は、図1に示されるように、主磁極110、主磁極110と磁気回路を形成する補助磁極112、主磁極110に巻き付けられた励磁コイル114、及び主磁極110の先端部111と補助磁極112の先端部113との間に設けられたスピントルク発振素子120を備える。先端部111及び先端部113は、磁気記録ヘッド100が磁気記録媒体150に情報を記録するときの配置において磁気記録媒体150側に位置する部分である。磁気記録ヘッド100は、さらに、スピントルク発振素子120に電流131を供給する電源V1及び励磁コイル114に電流132を供給する電源V2を備える。
なお、磁気記録媒体150は、本実施形態では垂直磁気記録媒体であるが、面内磁気記録媒体であってもよい。
第2の実施形態は、スピントルク発振素子の構造が第1の実施形態と異なる。具体的には、第1の実施形態のスピントルク発振素子は2つの垂直自由層を含み、第2の実施形態のスピントルク発振素子は3つの垂直自由層を含む。第2の実施形態では、第1の実施形態と同様の部分についての説明を適宜省略する。
第3の実施形態では、磁気記録装置について説明する。
図9は、第3の実施形態に係る磁気記録装置を概略的に示している。この磁気記録装置は、図9に示されるように、磁気記録媒体150及び磁気ヘッド900を備える。磁気ヘッド900は、磁気記録媒体150に磁気情報を記録するための磁気記録ヘッド901と、磁気記録媒体150の磁気情報を再生するための磁気再生ヘッド910と、を含む。磁気再生ヘッド910は磁気記録ヘッド901に隣接して配置されている。磁気記録装置は、図9には図示されないが、さらに、磁気記録媒体150と磁気ヘッド900とを相対的に移動させる駆動機構と、磁気ヘッド900を用いて磁気記録媒体150への信号の書き込み及び磁気記録媒体150からの信号の読み出しを行う信号処理部と、を備える。
Claims (8)
- 記録磁場を発生させる主磁極と、
高周波磁場を発生させるスピントルク発振素子であって、膜面に垂直な方向に磁気異方性軸を有し、磁化が回転可能である第1垂直自由層と、膜面に垂直な方向に磁気異方性軸を有し、磁化が回転可能である第2垂直自由層と、前記第1垂直自由層と前記第2垂直自由層との間に設けられた第1スペーサ層と、1対の電極層と、を含み、前記第1垂直自由層の実効的な垂直磁気異方性磁場が前記第2垂直自由層の実効的な垂直磁気異方性磁場よりも小さく、前記1対の電極層を通じて前記第1垂直自由層側から前記第2垂直自由層側に電流を流す、スピントルク発振素子と、
を具備する磁気記録ヘッド。 - 前記スピントルク発振素子は、膜面に垂直な方向に磁気異方性軸を有し磁化が回転可能である第3垂直自由層と、前記第2垂直自由層と前記第3垂直自由層との間に設けられた第2スペーサ層と、をさらに含み、前記第2垂直自由層は、前記第1垂直自由層と前記第3垂直自由層との間に設けられ、前記第2垂直自由層の実効的な垂直磁気異方性磁場が前記第3垂直自由層の実効的な垂直磁気異方性磁場よりも小さく、前記1対の電極層を通じて前記第1垂直自由層側から前記第3垂直自由層側に電流を流す、請求項1に記載の磁気記録ヘッド。
- 前記第3垂直自由層は、CoCr系材料、Co/Pd多層膜、Co/Ni多層膜、Co/Pt多層膜、L10合金、Co3Pt、SmCo、CoFe/MgO界面、CoFeB/MgO界面、FeB/MgO界面の少なくともいずれか1つを含む、請求項2に記載の磁気記録ヘッド。
- 前記第1垂直自由層は、CoCr系材料、Co/Pd多層膜、Co/Ni多層膜、Co/Pt多層膜、L10合金、Co3Pt、SmCo、CoFe/MgO界面、CoFeB/MgO界面、FeB/MgO界面の少なくともいずれか1つを含む、請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載の磁気記録ヘッド。
- 前記第2垂直自由層は、CoCr系材料、Co/Pd多層膜、Co/Ni多層膜、Co/Pt多層膜、L10合金、Co3Pt、SmCo、CoFe/MgO界面、CoFeB/MgO界面、FeB/MgO界面の少なくともいずれか1つを含む、請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項に記載の磁気記録ヘッド。
- 磁気記録媒体と、
前記磁気記録媒体の磁気情報を再生するための磁気再生ヘッド及び請求項1乃至5のいずれか1項に記載の磁気記録ヘッドを含む磁気ヘッドと、
前記磁気ヘッドと前記磁気記録媒体とを相対的に移動させる移動手段と、
前記磁気ヘッドを用いて前記磁気記録媒体への信号の書き込み及び前記磁気記録媒体からの信号の読み出しを行う信号処理手段と、
を具備する磁気記録装置。 - 前記磁気再生ヘッドは、磁化が回転可能である自由層を少なくとも1つ含む他のスピントルク発振素子を備え、
前記信号処理手段は、前記他のスピントルク発振素子の高周波出力の振幅又は位相の変化を検出することによって前記磁気記録媒体の磁気情報を再生する、請求項6に記載の磁気記録装置。 - 前記磁気記録媒体は、複数の記録層を含む3次元記録媒体である請求項6又は7に記載の磁気記録装置。
