Description
Claims (15)
- ボートその他の船舶の転覆後にそれを復原させるための装置にして、
該装置は収縮時の萎んだ状態で積載されるように構成された膨張式本体を含み、該膨張式本体は、転覆後に該本体を膨張させるための圧縮ガス供給源への接続手段を備え又は該圧縮ガス供給源に接続されるように構成され、且つ第1及び第2の膨張式チャンバを形成する柔軟な膜を含み、
該装置は該第2のチャンバが膨張する前に該第1のチャンバが膨張する所定の順序で該第1及び第2のチャンバを膨張させるためのバルブ装置を更に含み、
該第1のチャンバには該船舶に堅固に固定されるための固定手段が設けられている一方、該第2のチャンバは該第1のチャンバに連結されて並設されており、該本体が膨張したとき該第2のチャンバは該第1のチャンバによって支持され、これによって該第2のチャンバの浮力は、該第1のチャンバを通じて該船舶に伝達する、該船舶を復原するための復原モーメントとして作用し得る、ことを特徴とする船舶の復原装置。 - 該バルブ装置は該第1のチャンバと該第2のチャンバとを接続可能な少なくとも1個のバルブを含み、
該バルブは該第1のチャンバ内の圧力と該第2のチャンバ内の圧力との圧力差が所定値を超えると開くように構成されている、請求項1記載の装置。 - 該第1のチャンバは複数の層を含み、該複数の層の各々は上部パネル及び下部パネルを有し、該上部パネルと該下部パネルとの間にプレナムが規定されている、請求項1又は2記載の装置。
- 該複数の層の各々の該上部パネルと該下部パネルとは該プレナム内の複数箇所において内部構造によって接続されており、該内部構造は該複数の層の各々が膨張したとき該上部パネルと該下部パネルとの間隔を規定する、請求項3記載の装置。
- 該第1のチャンバはドロップ・スレッド材質からなる複数の層を含む、請求項1から4までのいずれかに記載の装置。
- ドロップ・スレッド材質からなる該複数の層は積み重ねられている、請求項5記載の装置。
- 該バルブ装置は、(a)開時に該圧縮ガス供給源から該第1のチャンバへのガスの通過を許容するインフレーションバルブと、(b)該第1のチャンバから該第2のチャンバへのガスの流れを制御する、少なくとも1個のステージバルブとを含み、
該ステージバルブは、通常閉じており且つ該第1のチャンバ内の圧力と該第2のチャンバ内の圧力との圧力差が所定値を超えると開くように構成されている、請求項1から6までのいずれかに記載の装置。 - 該第2のチャンバの上方に配設され且つ該第2のチャンバに連結された第3のチャンバを含み、該バルブ装置は該第2のチャンバが膨張した後に該第3のチャンバが膨張するように構成されている、請求項1から7までのいずれかに記載の装置。
- 所定の順序で膨張するように構成された4個以上のチャンバを含む、請求項1から7までのいずれかに記載の装置。
- 該第1のチャンバには該復原装置を該船舶に固定するための複数のストラップが連結されている、請求項1から9までのいずれかに記載の装置。
- 該第2のチャンバ又はそれに続くチャンバは該第1のチャンバと比較して大きく形成されている、請求項1から10までのいずれかに記載の装置。
- ボートその他の船舶の転覆後にそれを復原させるための方法にして、
第1及び第2の膨張式チャンバを形成する柔軟で気密性を有する外膜を含む膨張式本体を提供すること、該膨張式本体を萎んだ収縮状態で該船舶に積載し固定すること、該船舶の転覆後に該第1の膨張式チャンバに圧縮ガスを供給すること、更に、該膨張式本体を展開して該船舶を復原するため該第1のチャンバが膨張した後に該第2の膨張式チャンバに圧縮ガスを供給すること、を含む船舶の復原方法。 - 該膨張式本体は積み重ねられた3個以上の膨張式チャンバを含み、該方法は最下部の膨張式チャンバから最上部の膨張式チャンバへと順にガスを供給することを更に含む、請求項12記載の方法。
- 実質的に添付の図2から図6までを参照して明細書において説明され且つ図2から図6までに示された復原装置。
- 実質的に添付の図2から図6までを参照して明細書において説明され且つ図2から図6までに示された船舶の復原方法。
