Abstract
【解決手段】本発明の実施形態に係る二次電池用保護装置は、正極端子および負極端子の間に互いに直列連結された複数の単位セルを含み、正極端子に連結された第1外部ポートおよび負極端子に連結された第2外部ポートを通じて充電器と連結されて充電される電池モジュールと、電池モジュールと充電器との間の電流経路に形成されたパックヒューズと、電池モジュールの内部圧力に応じて複数の単位セル中の第1および第2単位セルの間に流れる電流をパックヒューズに流れるようにするバイパス経路を形成する連結部と、を含む。

Claims (8)
- 正極端子および負極端子の間に互いに直列連結された複数の単位セルを含み、前記正極端子に連結された第1外部ポートおよび前記負極端子に連結された第2外部ポートを通じて充電器と連結されて充電される電池モジュールと、
前記電池モジュールと前記充電器との間の電流経路に形成されたパックヒューズと、
前記電池モジュールの内部圧力に応じて前記複数の単位セル中の第1および第2単位セルの間に流れる電流を前記パックヒューズに流れるようにするバイパス経路を形成する連結部と、
を含む、二次電池用保護装置。 - 前記連結部は、
前記電池モジュールの内部圧力に応じて物理的に変形して前記第1および第2単位セルのそれぞれと前記パックヒューズとの間に電気的な導線を形成する、請求項1に記載の二次電池用保護装置。 - 前記連結部は、
前記第1単位セル上に形成され、前記第1単位セルと前記パックヒューズの一端を電気的に連結する第1連結部と、
前記第2単位セル上に形成され、前記パックヒューズの他端と前記第2単位セルを電気的に連結する第2連結部と、
を含む、請求項2に記載の二次電池用保護装置。 - 前記複数の単位セルのそれぞれは、
正極ターミナルおよび負極ターミナルを含む電極組立体と、
前記電極組立体を収容するケースと、
を含む、請求項1に記載の二次電池用保護装置。 - 前記第1および第2単位セルのそれぞれは、
前記各ケースと前記各正極ターミナルを電気的に連結する連結タブを含む、請求項4に記載の二次電池用保護装置。 - 前記第1および第2連結部のそれぞれは、
前記ケースから延びて前記ケースの内部方向に膨らむように形成された第1短絡プレートと、
前記第1短絡プレート上に前記第1短絡プレートと離隔して配置された第2短絡プレートと、
を含む、請求項4に記載の二次電池用保護装置。 - 前記第1短絡プレートは、前記内部圧力に応じて変形して前記第2短絡プレートと物理的に接触する、請求項6に記載の二次電池用保護装置。
- 前記パックヒューズは、
前記第1単位セルの正極ターミナルと前記第1外部ポートとの間に配置された、請求項1に記載の二次電池用保護装置。
