Abstract
【解決手段】実施形態に係る照明装置は、発光素子を保持した第1面、この第1面と反対の第2面、および第1面と第2面を連絡した貫通孔を有するベース部材と、このベース部材の第1面側で発光素子に対向して配置された光学レンズと、ベース部材の第2面側でベース部材に熱的に接触して配置された放熱部材と、を有する。光学レンズは、貫通孔に外気を導入するための通風路を有する。放熱部材は、通風路および貫通孔を介して導入される外気に接触して熱交換することで、発光素子の熱を放熱する。

Description
図1は、照明装置の第1の実施形態であるLED電球100を部分的に破断した斜視図であり、図2は、このLED電球100を管軸に沿って2つに切断した断面図である。
図3は、第2の実施形態に係るLED電球200を管軸に沿って2つに切断した断面図である。図3は、第1の実施形態の説明に用いた図2に対応する。本実施形態のLED電球200は、上述した第1の実施形態のLED電球100と基本的に同じ構造および機能を有する。

n:レンズを構成する材料の屈折率
の関係を満たすことで、湾曲面47に到達する光を光の吸収ロスがない全反射によって射出面48に導く。つまり、発光素子1から発せられる光を、光学レンズ6の側面方向に効率よく導き、外部に射出させる。以上より、高効率で広配光な光学レンズ6を提供できる。
以下、上述した実施形態の変形例について説明する。
図5に示す第1の変形例では、カバー部材14に複数の通気開口71を設けた。これにより、管球内部を流れる空気の量(流入量および流出量)を増加することができる。通気開口71の位置、大きさ、個数などはこれに限定されない。放熱フィン24の近傍を開口することで内部構造を目視しにくくし、デザイン性を維持した上で、放熱性能を向上させることができる。なお、図5に示す例では、電源部16側のカバー部材14の端部の近くに通気開口71を設けたため、カバー部材14の端部を電源部16のフランジ部16aまで延ばすことができ、外観を良好にできる。
Claims (16)
- 発光素子と、
この発光素子を保持した第1面、この第1面と反対の第2面、および上記第1面と上記第2面を連絡した貫通孔を有するベース部材と、
このベース部材の上記第1面側で上記発光素子に対向して配置され、上記貫通孔に外気を導入するための通風路を有する光学レンズと、
上記ベース部材の上記第2面側で上記ベース部材に熱的に接触して配置され、上記通風路および上記貫通孔を介して導入される外気に接触して熱交換する放熱部材と、
を有する照明装置。 - 上記光学レンズの上記通風路内に配置されて上記ベース部材の上記貫通孔を囲むように上記ベース部材の上記第1面に接触した筒部材をさらに有する、
請求項1の照明装置。 - 上記筒部材は、上記光学レンズの上記通風路の内面に接触して配置される、
請求項2の照明装置。 - 上記筒部材は、上記光学レンズに隙間を介して対向した反射面を有する、
請求項2の照明装置。 - 上記通風路を介して導入される外気を上記発光素子に接触させないように上記貫通孔へ導くための筒部材をさらに有する、
請求項1の照明装置。 - 上記光学レンズは、回転対称形である、

湾曲面で規定される空洞と、
前記空洞を囲うように配置された射出面と、
前記発光素子に対向する入射面と、を備え、
前記入射面上の第1の点から、前記湾曲面上の第2の点に引いた直線と、前記第2の点における法線の成す角度θについて、

の関係を満たすことを特徴とする請求項6の照明装置。 - 前記光学レンズの前記射出面は、段部を有することを特徴とする請求項7の照明装置。
- 前記光学レンズの前記射出面は、曲率一定面であることを特徴とする請求項7または請求項8の照明装置。
- 前記光学レンズの上記通風路の中心軸が回転対称の対称軸と一致していることを特徴とする請求項6乃至9のいずれかの照明装置。
- 前記筒部材は、ミラー面を有し、
前記ミラー面の断面は、前記光学レンズの湾曲面上の点のうち前記発光素子に最も近い第3の点を中心とする円弧となる、
ことを特徴とする請求項7乃至10記載の照明装置。 - 前記ベース部材と前記発光素子を内包するカバー部材をさらに備え、
前記カバー部材は、前記光学レンズの上記通風路を前記カバー部材の外の空間と連通させる開口部を有する、
ことを特徴とする請求項1乃至11記載の照明装置。 - 上記放熱部材は、上記ベース部材の上記第2面に熱的に接続された放熱フィンを備えることを特徴とする請求項1乃至12記載の照明装置。
- 上記ベース部材の上記第2面側に位置し、外部から電力を取り込む口金と、
上記口金と接続された電源と、
を備えた請求項1乃至13記載の照明装置。 - 上記ベース部材と上記カバー部材が光を透過する部材で接続されていることを特徴とする請求項12乃至14記載の照明装置。
- 上記光学レンズの外縁が上記ベース部材の上記第1面と接触することを特徴とする請求項1乃至15記載の照明装置。
