Abstract
Description
本実施の形態では、本発明の一態様である発光素子について説明する。
本実施の形態では、本発明の一態様として、電荷発生層を挟んでEL層を複数有する構造の発光素子(以下、タンデム型発光素子という)について図2を用いて説明する。
本実施の形態では、本発明の一態様である発光装置について説明する。
本実施の形態では、本発明の一態様である発光素子を有する発光装置について説明する。
本実施の形態では、本発明の一態様である発光素子を適用して作製された発光装置を用いて完成させた様々な電子機器の一例について、図5を用いて説明する。
本実施の形態では、本発明の一態様である発光素子を含む発光装置を適用した照明装置の一例について、図6を用いて説明する。
本実施例で示す発光素子は、図7の左側に発光素子1および比較発光素子3の素子構造、右側に発光素子2および比較発光素子4の素子構造をそれぞれ示しており、発光素子1および比較発光素子3は、赤色発光を呈する発光素子であり、発光素子2および比較発光素子4は、緑色発光を呈する発光素子である。なお、これらの発光素子は、全て、第2の電極4003側から光が出る構造を有している。
作製した各発光素子の動作特性について測定した。なお、測定は室温(25℃に保たれた雰囲気)で行った。

前記第1の発光層は、ホスト材料とゲスト材料とを有し、
前記ゲスト材料のLUMO準位は、前記ホスト材料のLUMO準位に対して、±0.1eV以内にあることを特徴とする発光素子。 - 第1のEL層と、第2のEL層と、電荷発生層と、を有する発光素子であって、
