Abstract
Description
オゾン生成効率を高めるために、例えば数10ナノ秒の極短パルス幅で数10kVの高電圧を印加して放電を発生させ、誘電体の介在無しにオゾンを発生させる技術(ここでは極短パルス放電と称する)の開発が進められている。
図3に、エンジン1の基本的な構成を示す。このエンジン1は、自動車に搭載される4サイクルの多気筒エンジンである。気筒2の内部に、燃料であるガソリンを直接噴射して燃焼が行われる。なお、各気筒2の主な構成は同様であるため、図では1つの気筒2のみを表す。
このエンジン1では、低温でも駆動領域の広い範囲でCI燃焼が安定して行えるように、工夫されている。
本発明にかかる直噴ガソリンエンジンは、上述した実施形態に限定されず、それ以外の種々の構成をも包含する。

Claims (7)
- ガソリンを含む混合気を圧縮行程で自着火させるCI燃焼が行われる直噴ガソリンエンジンであって、
ピストンの昇降によって容積が変化する気筒と、
前記気筒の内部に少なくともガソリンを含有する燃料を噴射するインジェクタと、
吸気口を通じて前記気筒の内部に吸気を導入する吸気ポートと、
排気口を通じて前記気筒の内部から排気を排出する排気ポートと、
前記吸気口及び前記排気口の各々を開閉する吸気弁及び排気弁と、
前記気筒の内部でオゾンを生成するオゾン生成装置と、
を備え、
前記オゾン生成装置は、
前記気筒から電気的に絶縁された状態で当該気筒の内部に突出する電極と、
制御されたパルス状の電圧を前記電極に印加する高電圧制御装置と、
を有し、
前記高電圧制御装置が作動して前記電極に電圧を印加することにより、当該電極と前記気筒との間に放電が生じ、当該放電の作用で当該気筒の内部にオゾンが生成されるように構成されており、
圧縮行程で前記インジェクタが前記燃料を噴射する圧縮行程噴射を少なくとも行う燃焼パターンを有し、
前記燃焼パターンが行われる場合に、吸気行程及び圧縮行程の少なくともいずれか一方で前記高電圧制御装置が作動する直噴ガソリンエンジン。 - 請求項1に記載の直噴ガソリンエンジンにおいて、
前記圧縮行程噴射が、前記気筒の内部の中央部分に混合気が偏在するように行われる直噴ガソリンエンジン。 - 請求項2に記載の直噴ガソリンエンジンにおいて、
前記混合気と前記気筒の内面との間に空気層が形成されている直噴ガソリンエンジン。 - 請求項1〜請求項3のいずれか一つに記載の直噴ガソリンエンジンにおいて、
吸気行程で前記高電圧制御装置が作動する場合に、前記圧縮行程噴射よりも少量の前記燃料が、当該高電圧制御装置の作動に連動して噴射される直噴ガソリンエンジン。 - 請求項4に記載の直噴ガソリンエンジンにおいて、
前記高電圧制御装置の作動期間が、吸気の導入量が最大となる期間を含む直噴ガソリンエンジン。 - 請求項1〜請求項5のいずれか一つに記載の直噴ガソリンエンジンにおいて、
前記圧縮行程噴射に連動して前記高電圧制御装置が作動する直噴ガソリンエンジン。 - 請求項1〜請求項6のいずれか一つに記載の直噴ガソリンエンジンにおいて、
前記燃料の噴射量が相対的に少ない場合に、吸気行程で前記高電圧制御装置が作動し、
前記燃料の噴射量が相対的に多い場合に、圧縮行程で前記高電圧制御装置が作動する直噴ガソリンエンジン。
