Abstract
【解決手段】冷却剤を刃先部に付着し、穿孔を行う。この冷却剤は、少なくともパラフィンやワセリンなどのパラフィン系炭化水素とポリエチレングリコール又はポリエチレンオキシドを含む、常温で固体状またはゲル状または軟膏状または高粘度の液体状のものとする。パラフィン系炭化水素、ポリエチレングリコール、ポリエチレンオキシドは、いずれも比熱が高く、かつ水の沸点である100℃では気化して発散してしまう割合が少ないので、穿孔中もコアビット1に付着してコアビットの熱を奪うため、コアビットの昇温を抑制する性能は水を使用した場合より優れ、かつ、水を使わないので作業性も大幅に改善する。

Description
この時に用いられるコアビットは、一般的には、金属の母体に、人造ダイヤモンド粒子を金属ボンドで付着してから真空炉中で加熱固着するか、メッキ法を使って、人造ダイヤモンド粒子を母体表面に固着する、などして製作される。
図1は冷却剤が適用されるコアビット1を示す。3つの異なるコアビット1が示されているが、それぞれ、穿孔直径が6mm、8mm、12mmの場合に用いられるもので、全長は、それぞれ、70mm、75mm、75mmである。

- ダイヤモンドコアビットに付着して用いられる冷却剤であって、パラフィン系炭化水素と、ポリエチレングリコールまたはポリエチレンオキシドを含む冷却剤
