Claims (20)
- 外面と、内面と、近位端部と、遠位端部と、前記近位端部と前記遠位端部との間をカテーテル本体の長手方向軸に沿って延びる管腔と、遠位管腔開口部とを有するカテーテル本体と、
前記遠位端部の一部分を形成するカテーテル先端部であって、前記遠位管腔開口部を含むカテーテル先端部と、
前記カテーテル先端部の壁内に形成された分割可能フィーチャと
を備えることを特徴とするカテーテル。 - 前記分割可能フィーチャは、1つまたは複数のスカイブ加工ラインを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記分割可能フィーチャは、前記カテーテル本体の前記内面上に配置されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記分割可能フィーチャは、前記カテーテル本体の前記外面上に配置されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記分割可能フィーチャは、前記カテーテル先端部を複数のフィンガに分けることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記分割可能フィーチャは、隣り合うフィンガ間に間置された薄いウェビングを備えることを特徴とする請求項5に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記分割可能フィーチャは、隣り合うフィンガ間に間置された一連の穿孔開口部を含むことを特徴とする請求項5に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記複数のフィンガの各々は、前記カテーテル本体の前記長手方向軸に対してほぼ平行であることを特徴とする請求項5に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記内面は、複数の軸方向の長穴をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記内面は、複数の軸方向のリブをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記分割可能フィーチャは、前記カテーテル本体が使用されないときに前記フィンガの長さに沿って実質的に接触状態にある2つの対向するスリット表面を含むことを特徴とする請求項5に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記分割可能フィーチャは、前記カテーテル先端部の先細にされた部分上に少なくとも部分的に配設されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 分割可能な静脈内カテーテルを製造するための方法であって、
外面と、内面と、近位端部と、遠位端部と、前記近位端部と前記遠位端部との間を前記カテーテル本体の長手方向軸に沿って延びる管腔と、遠位管腔開口部とを有するカテーテル本体を提供するステップと、
前記遠位端部の一部分を形成するカテーテル先端部を提供するステップであって、前記カテーテル先端部は前記遠位管腔開口部を含む、ステップと、
前記カテーテル先端部の壁内に形成された分割可能フィーチャを提供するステップと
を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記分割可能フィーチャは、1つまたは複数のスカイブ加工ラインを含むことを特徴とする請求項13に記載の方法。
- 前記分割可能フィーチャは、前記カテーテル本体の前記内面上に配置されることを特徴とする請求項13に記載の方法。

- 前記分割可能フィーチャは、隣り合うフィンガ間に間置された一連の穿孔開口部を含むことを特徴とする請求項17に記載の方法。
- 管腔および遠位管腔開口部を有するカテーテル本体であって、前記管腔は、カテーテル本体内をカテーテル本体の長手方向軸に沿って延び、カテーテル本体は、患者の末梢静脈にアクセスするのに十分な切頭長さをさらに有し、14ゲージカテーテルより小さくまたは14ゲージカテーテルと等しくなるようにサイズ設定される、カテーテル本体と、
前記カテーテル本体の遠位の先細にされた部分を貫通して形成された分割可能フィーチャであって、前記カテーテル本体の前記遠位の先細にされた部分を複数の隣り合って配置されたフィンガに分け、前記複数の隣り合って配置されたフィンガは、互いに対して閉位置および開位置を有する、分割可能フィーチャと
