Description
本発明は、研削工具、具体的には、タングステンカーバイド等の硬質及び/又は脆性材料を研削するための研削工具に関する。研削工具は、特に、研削ホイールであってもよい。本発明はまた、かかる研削工具を作製する方法に関する。
研削ホイール等の研削工具は、脆性材料を機械加工するために使用される。かかる研削工具が使用される一分野は、硬質金属(タングステンカーバイド)から作られる工具の機械加工である。例えば、研削工具は、ドリル又は粉砕工具が研削によって形成される、機械加のために使用され得る。形成される工作物がタングステンカーバイド等の硬質材料から作られる場合、研磨工具は、非常に硬質な材料の研磨材粒子を有さなければならない。実際に、これは通常、研磨材粒子がダイヤモンド粒子又は立方晶窒化ホウ素の粒子であることを意味する。この目的でのダイヤモンド又は立方晶窒化ホウ素の粒子は市販されており、標準的な成分と見なされ得る。この目的でのダイヤモンドは典型的に、50μmの平均又は平均粒径(当然、粒径は様々である)を有してもよく、タングステンカーバイド等の硬質材料を切断することができる複数の鋭い刃を有してもよい。
本発明は研削工具に関する。研削工具は特に、タングステンカーバイド等、硬質及び/又は脆性材料を機械加工するための研削工具であることを目的とするが、本発明の研削工具はまた、他の材料を研削するためにも使用され得る。研削工具は、コア及び研磨リムを備える。研磨リムは、マトリックスに埋め込まれた研磨材粒子を含み、マトリックスは、焼結青銅合金である金属結合剤を含む。金属結合剤は、マトリックスの50容量%〜100容量%を構成する。本発明に従って、金属結合剤は、金属結合剤の0.02容量%〜5.0容量%、及び任意に金属結合剤の0.1容量%〜5.0容量%を構成する量で、窒化ケイ素を含有する。
図1を参照して、研削工具1が示される。研削工具は特に、タングステンカーバイド等、硬質及び/又は脆性材料を機械加工することを目的とする研削ホイールであってもよい。かかる材料は、例えば、ドリル又は粉砕工具等の工具のための工作物中に存在してもよく、本発明の研削工具1は、かかる工具を形成するために使用される研削ホイールであってもよい。研削工具1は、コア2及び研磨リム4を備える。コア2は、鋼又は何らかの他の金属等のあまり高価ではない材料から作られてもよい。あるいは、コアは、例えば、ポリマー材料から作られ得る。コアはまた、2つ以上の材料を含み得る。例えば、それは、鋼又はアルミニウム等の金属によって部分的に作られ得、部分的にポリマー材料であり得る。コア2は、研削工具1が回転運動のためにスピンドル(図示せず)上に載置されてもよいように、貫通孔又は空洞3が備えられてもよい。図2を参照すると、研磨リム4は、マトリックス6に埋め込まれた研磨材粒子5を含む。次に、マトリックス6は、焼結青銅合金である金属結合剤を含む。金属結合剤は、マトリックス6の50容量%〜100容量%を構成し、したがって、マトリックス6全体が金属結合剤で構成されている実施形態が考えられる。しかしながら、マトリックス6は通常、少なくとも何らかの他の成分を含む。例えば、それは、潤滑特性を有するグラファイト等の充填剤を含んでもよい。ほとんどの実施形態では、マトリックス6はまた、ポリイミドによって形成されてもよいポリマー結合剤も含む。
Claims (14)
- 硬質及び/又は脆性材料を機械加工するための研削工具(1)であって、前記研削工具(1)が、コア(2)と、研磨リム(4)とを備え、前記研磨リム(4)が、マトリックス(6)に埋め込まれた研磨材粒子(5)を含み、前記マトリックス(6)が、焼結青銅合金である金属結合剤を含み、前記金属結合剤が、前記マトリックスの50%〜100容量%を構成し、前記金属結合剤が、金属結合剤の0.02容量%〜5.0%を構成する量で、窒化ケイ素を含有し、前記窒化ケイ素が、10μm未満及び0.1μm超である平均粒径を有する粒子の形状で存在することを特徴とする、研削工具(1)。
- 前記マトリックス(6)が更に、前記ポリマー結合剤及び前記金属結合剤が接続網を形成するように、前記金属結合剤と共に焼結されたポリマー結合剤を含む、請求項1に記載の研削工具(1)。
- 前記窒化ケイ素が、前記金属結合剤の0.3容量%〜5.0容量%、好ましくは0.5容量%〜3容量%、及び更に好ましくは0.5%〜2容量%を構成する、請求項1又は2に記載の研削工具(1)。
- 前記ポリマー結合剤がポリイミドを含む、請求項2に記載の研削工具。
- 前記マトリックスが更に、グラファイト等の充填剤材料を含む、請求項1又は2に記載の研削工具。
- 前記金属結合剤が、銅、錫、及び銀を含む青銅合金である、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の研削工具。
- 前記研磨材粒子(5)が、ダイヤモンド粒子又は立方晶窒化ホウ素粒子である、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の研削工具。
- 前記研磨材粒子(5)が、4μm〜181μmの範囲、及び好ましくは46μm〜91μmの範囲の平均粒径を有する、請求項7に記載の研削工具。
- 前記研磨材粒子(5)が、銅又はニッケルのコーティングを有する、請求項8に記載の研削工具。
- 研削工具(1)を作製する方法であって、前記方法が、研磨材粒子を、銅及び錫を含む金属粉末と共に焼結する工程を含み、前記焼結がマトリックス(6)をもたらすようにし、前記研磨材粒子(6)が埋め込まれ、前記マトリックスが、焼結青銅合金である金属結合剤を含み、粉末の形態の窒化ケイ素が、焼結前に、かつ前記窒化ケイ素が前記金属結合剤の0.02容量%〜5.0容量%を構成する程度まで、前記金属粉末に添加されることを特徴とし、添加される前記窒化ケイ素が、10μm未満及び0.1μm超である平均粒径を有する粒子の形状である、方法。
- 前記金属粉末が更に銀を含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- ポリマーが、焼結前に、前記マトリックス(6)の一部であるポリマー結合剤もまた形成されるように、好ましくはポリイミド粉末の形態で、前記金属粉末に添加される、請求項10又は11に記載の方法。
- 前記方法が、前記マトリックス(6)の前記結合剤のための前記粉末材料を、前記研磨材粒子(5)と混合する工程と、コールドプレスに前記混合物を圧縮する工程と、120〜150分間、380℃〜520℃、好ましくは400℃〜500℃の範囲の温度でのキルンで、前記圧縮混合物を硬化する工程と、その後、前記圧縮及び硬化混合物をプレス機に配置し、それを1500〜2000kg/cm2(147.1〜196.1MPa)の圧力に供する工程と、前記混合物が300℃未満の温度に達するまで圧力を保持する工程と、を含む、請求項10〜12のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記焼結動作の前に、充填剤材料が、金属粉末及び研磨材粒子(5)の前記混合物に添加され、前記充填剤材料がグラファイトを含む、請求項10〜13のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
