化合物3=2−[(3−エチル−4,8−ジメチル−2−オキソ−2H−クロメン−7−イル)オキシ]プロパン酸。
3つの化合物全てを、それらの塩酸塩の塩の形態で使用した。
フルシュガーエナジー飲料(Amp EnergyTM)
この例において使用した飲料はAmp EnergyTMであった。このエナジー飲料は、カフェイン、ガラナなどをベースとした飲料の典型的なオフノートの特徴を有する。
割合は表1に示すとおりである。
パネリストは、対照に対して、サンプル2およびサンプル5のいずれかにおけるオフノートが有意に低下したことを検出した。サンプル6において、対照よりオフノートが有意に低下したことを検出した。
フルシュガーエナジー飲料(Red BullTM)
例1の手順を、表2に示された割合を使用して繰り返した:
パネリストは、対照に対して、サンプル8およびサンプル11のいずれかにおけるオフノートが有意に低下したことを検出した。サンプル12において、対照よりオフノートが有意に低下したことを検出した。
ダイエットエナジー飲料
使用した飲料はAmp EnergyTM−無糖であった。この飲料は、人工甘味料のスクラロースおよびアセスルファム−Kを含有し、これらは金属性のオフテイストを有することで知られている。

Claims (8)
- 経口的に受容可能か、または摂取可能な組成物においてオフノートをマスクする方法であって、オフノートをマスクする量の1−(2−ヒドロキシフェニル)−3−(ピリジン−4−イル)プロパン−1−オンまたはその塩のそれへの添加を含む、前記方法。
- 4−[2,2,3−トリメチル−シクロペンチル]−ブタン酸、2−[(3−エチル−4,8−ジメチル−2−オキソ−2H−クロメン−7−イル)オキシ]プロパン酸およびそれらの塩からなる群から選択される化合物を追加して添加する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- オフノートをマスクする量の1−(2−ヒドロキシフェニル)−3−(ピリジン−4−イル)プロパン−1−オンまたはその塩を含む、オフノートがマスクされた、経口的に受容可能か、または摂取可能な組成物。
- 1−(2−ヒドロキシフェニル)−3−(ピリジン−4−イル)プロパン−1−オンと、4−[2,2,3−トリメチル−シクロペンチル]−ブタン酸もしくは2−[(3−エチル−4,8−ジメチル−2−オキソ−2H−クロメン−7−イル)オキシ]プロパン酸またはそれらの塩の少なくとも1種とを含むマスキング組成物を、オフノートをマスクする量で含む、オフノートがマスクされた、経口的に受容可能か、または摂取可能な組成物。
- 1−(2−ヒドロキシフェニル)−3−(ピリジン−4−イル)プロパン−1−オンと、4−[2,2,3−トリメチル−シクロペンチル]−ブタン酸もしくは2−[(3−エチル−4,8−ジメチル−2−オキソ−2H−クロメン−7−イル)オキシ]プロパン酸それらの塩の少なくとも1種とからなる、オフノートのマスキング組成物。
- 1−(2−ヒドロキシフェニル)−3−(ピリジン−4−イル)プロパン−1−オンおよび4−[2,2,3−トリメチル−シクロペンチル]−ブタン酸、またはそれらの塩からなる、請求項5に記載のオフノートのマスキング組成物。
- 1−(2−ヒドロキシフェニル)−3−(ピリジン−4−イル)プロパン−1−オンおよび2−[(3−エチル−4,8−ジメチル−2−オキソ−2H−クロメン−7−イル)オキシ]プロパン酸、またはそれらの塩からなる、請求項5に記載のオフノートのマスキング組成物。
- 1−(2−ヒドロキシフェニル)−3−(ピリジン−4−イル)プロパン−1−オン、4−[2,2,3−トリメチル−シクロペンチル]−ブタン酸および2−[(3−エチル−4,8−ジメチル−2−オキソ−2H−クロメン−7−イル)オキシ]プロパン酸、またはそれらの塩からなる、請求項5に記載のオフノートのマスキング組成物。
