Claims (35)
- 通信ネットワークにおいて専用容量を提供するためのシステムであって、
第1の位置に設けられ、かつ電話網へ通信可能に接続される第1の基地局を備え、前記第1の基地局はローカルカバレッジエリアを形成するための屋外セルラーアンテナを有し、
前記第1の位置に設けられ、かつ前記電話網へ通信可能に接続される第2の基地局と、
第2の位置においてカバレッジエリアを形成するための屋内セルラーアンテナとを備え、前記第2の位置は地理的に前記第1の位置から遠隔にあり、前記屋内セルラーアンテナは、前記カバレッジエリア内の前記第2の位置に設けられる移動体通信機器が前記屋内セルラーアンテナ及び前記第2の基地局を介して前記電話網へ通信可能に接続されるように前記第2の基地局へ通信可能に接続されるシステム。 - 前記第2の位置に屋外アンテナと周波数変換器とをさらに備え、前記第2の位置における前記屋外アンテナは無線通信を介して前記第2の基地局へ通信可能に接続され、かつ前記第2の位置における前記屋外アンテナは前記周波数変換器を介して前記屋内アンテナへ通信可能に接続される請求項1記載のシステム。
- 前記第2の位置に前記第2の基地局へ通信可能に接続される1つ又は複数の追加の屋内アンテナをさらに備える請求項1記載のシステム。
- 前記第2の位置における前記屋外アンテナは、無線通信を介して2500MHzの周波数帯域で前記第1の基地局へ通信可能に接続され、前記屋内セルラーアンテナの前記カバレッジエリア内に設けられる前記移動体通信機器は、850MHz又は1900MHz周波数帯域の無線通信を使用して前記屋内セルラーアンテナへ通信可能に接続される請求項2記載のシステム。
- 前記第2の位置に、850MHz又は1900MHz周波数帯域における無線通信を介して前記第2の基地局へ通信可能に接続される屋外アンテナをさらに備え、前記屋内セルラーアンテナのカバレッジエリア内に設けられる前記移動体通信機器は、前記第2の位置における前記屋外アンテナを前記第2の基地局へ通信可能に接続させる場合に使用されるものと同一の周波数帯域の無線通信を使用して前記屋内セルラーアンテナへ通信可能に接続される請求項1記載のシステム。
- 前記第2の位置における屋外アンテナと前記第2の基地局との間の通信及び前記屋内セルラーアンテナと前記移動体通信機器との間の通信に同一のチャネルが使用される請求項5記載のシステム。
- 前記第2の位置における屋外アンテナと前記第2の基地局との間の通信及び前記屋内セルラーアンテナと前記移動体通信機器との間の通信に異なるチャネルが使用される請求項5記載のシステム。
- 前記第2の位置における前記カバレッジエリアは第1の建物内であり、第2の建物内の第3の位置にカバレッジエリアを形成するための屋内セルラーアンテナをさらに備え、前記第3の位置は地理的に前記第1の位置から遠隔にあり、前記第3の位置における前記屋内セルラーアンテナは、前記第3の位置における前記カバレッジエリア内に設けられる移動体通信機器が前記屋内セルラーアンテナ及び前記基地局を介して前記電話網へ通信可能に接続されるように前記第2の基地局へ通信可能に接続される請求項1記載のシステム。
- 前記第2の基地局は単一のトランシーバを有する低電力基地局である請求項1記載のシステム。
- 前記第2の基地局は、音声データがIPパケットで伝送されるインターネットプロトコル(IP)を使用するバックホールを介して前記電話網へ接続される請求項9記載のシステム。
- 第1の基地局は1つ又は複数のトランシーバを有する高電力基地局である請求項9記載のシステム。
- 前記第1の基地局はT1又はE1バックホールを介して前記電話網へ接続される請求項1記載のシステム。
- 前記第1及び第2の基地局はサイトインフラストラクチャを共用する請求項1記載のシステム。
- 前記屋内セルラーアンテナは前記屋外アンテナを介して前記第2の基地局へ通信可能に接続され、これにより、前記屋外アンテナは前記第1及び第2の基地局により共用される請求項13記載のシステム。
- 前記屋外セルラーアンテナのカバレッジエリアは前記屋内セルラーアンテナのカバレッジエリアに重なる請求項1記載のシステム。
- 前記屋外セルラーアンテナのカバレッジエリア内に設けられる移動体通信機器は、850MHz周波数帯域又は1900MHz周波数帯域の無線通信を使用して前記屋外セルラーアンテナへ通信可能に接続される請求項15記載のシステム。
- 前記第2の位置における遠隔システムは前記屋内アンテナを備え、前記遠隔システムは第1の通信リンクを介して前記第2の基地局へ通信可能に接続され、前記遠隔システムと前記第1の基地局との間で管理情報を伝送し合うための補助通信リンクをさらに備える請求項1記載のシステム。
- セルラーネットワークにおいて専用容量を提供するためのシステムであって、
第1の位置に設けられ、かつ電話網へ通信可能に接続される基地局を備え、前記基地局は、移動体通信機器との直接通信のための第1のカバレッジエリアを専門に提供する1つ又は複数のトランシーバ装置と、第2のカバレッジエリアを専門に提供する1つ又は複数のトランシーバ装置とを有し、
前記第2のカバレッジエリア内の遠隔システムを備え、前記遠隔システムは、前記第2のカバレッジエリアを専門に提供する前記1つ又は複数のトランシーバ装置を介して前記基地局へ通信可能に接続され、前記遠隔システムは、遠隔位置に第3のカバレッジエリアを形成するための屋内セルラーアンテナを備え、前記遠隔位置は地理的に前記第1の位置から遠隔にあり、前記屋内セルラーアンテナは、前記第3のカバレッジエリア内に設けられる移動体通信機器が前記屋内セルラーアンテナ及び前記基地局を介して前記電話網へ通信可能に接続されるように前記基地局へ通信可能に接続されるシステム。 - 前記第1のカバレッジエリアは第1の数、n個のセクタを備え、前記第2のカバレッジエリアは第2の数、m個のセクタを備える請求項1記載のシステム。
- 前記n個のセクタはそれぞれ120度である請求項19記載のシステム。
- 前記m個のセクタはそれぞれ120度である請求項20記載のシステム。
- 前記m個のセクタは無指向性である請求項20記載のシステム。
- セルラーネットワークにおいて専用容量を提供するためのシステムであって、
第1の位置に設けられ、かつ電話網へ通信可能に接続されるピコ基地局を備え、前記ピコ基地局は単一のトランシーバを有する低電力基地局であり、
第1の建物内の第2の位置にカバレッジエリアを形成するための第1の屋内セルラーアンテナを備え、前記第2の位置は地理的に前記第1の位置から遠隔にあり、前記屋内セルラーアンテナは、前記カバレッジエリア内に設けられる移動体通信機器が前記屋内セルラーアンテナ及び前記基地局を介して前記電話網へ通信可能に接続されるように前記ピコ基地局へ通信可能に接続され、
第2の建物内の第3の位置にカバレッジエリアを形成するための第2の屋内セルラーアンテナを備え、前記第3の位置は地理的に前記第1の位置から遠隔にあり、前記屋内セルラーアンテナは、前記カバレッジエリア内に設けられる移動体通信機器が前記屋内セルラーアンテナ及び前記ピコ基地局を介して前記電話網へ通信可能に接続されるように前記ピコ基地局へ通信可能に接続されるシステム。 - 前記第2の位置における屋外アンテナと周波数変換器とをさらに備え、前記第2の位置における前記屋外アンテナは無線通信を介して前記ピコ基地局へ通信可能に接続され、かつ前記第2の位置における前記屋外アンテナは前記周波数変換器を介して前記第1の屋内アンテナへ通信可能に接続され、
前記第3の位置における屋外アンテナと周波数変換器とをさらに備え、前記第3の位置における前記屋外アンテナは無線通信を介して前記ピコ基地局へ通信可能に接続され、かつ前記第3の位置における前記屋外アンテナは前記周波数変換器を介して前記第2の屋内アンテナへ通信可能に接続される請求項23記載のシステム。 - 前記第2の位置における前記屋外アンテナ及び前記第3の位置における前記屋外アンテナは、2500MHz周波数帯域における無線通信を介して前記基地局へ通信可能に接続され、前記第1及び第2の屋内セルラーアンテナの前記カバレッジエリア内に設けられる前記移動体通信機器は、850MHz又は1900MHz周波数帯域の無線通信を使用して前記個々の屋内セルラーアンテナへ通信可能に接続される請求項24記載のシステム。
- 前記第2の位置において前記ピコ基地局へ通信可能に接続される1つ又は複数の追加的な屋内アンテナをさらに備える請求項23記載のシステム。
- 前記第1の位置にマクロ基地局をさらに備え、前記マクロ基地局は、複数のトランシーバを有する高電力基地局でありかつ前記電話網へ通信可能に接続され、前記マクロ基地局はカバレッジエリアを形成するための屋外セルラーアンテナを有する請求項23記載のシステム。
- 前記ピコ基地局は、音声データがIPパケットで伝送されるインターネットプロトコル(IP)を使用するバックホールを介して前記電話網へ接続される請求項27記載のシステム。
- 前記マクロ基地局はT1又はE1バックホールを介して前記電話網へ接続される請求項27記載のシステム。
- 前記ピコ基地局及びマクロ基地局はサイトインフラストラクチャを共用する請求項27記載のシステム。
- 前記屋外セルラーアンテナのカバレッジエリアは、前記第2の位置における前記屋内セルラーアンテナのカバレッジエリアに重なる請求項27記載のシステム。
- セルラーネットワークにおいて専用容量を提供するための方法であって、前記セルラーネットワークは、第1の位置に、電話網へ通信可能に接続されかつ複数のトランシーバを有しかつ前記第1の位置にカバレッジエリアを形成する少なくとも1つの屋外アンテナを有する高電力基地局を含み、前記方法は、
前記第1の位置に低電力基地局を追加することと、
第2の位置にカバレッジエリアを形成するための屋内セルラーアンテナを追加することを含み、前記第2の位置は地理的に前記第1の位置から遠隔にあり、前記屋内セルラーアンテナは、前記カバレッジエリア内に設けられる移動体通信機器が前記屋内セルラーアンテナ及び前記低電力基地局を介して前記電話網へ通信可能に接続されるように前記低電力基地局へ通信可能に接続される方法。 - 前記第2の位置において屋外アンテナ及び周波数変換器を追加することをさらに含み、前記第2の位置における前記屋外アンテナは無線通信を介して前記低電力基地局へ通信可能に接続され、かつ前記第2の位置における前記屋外アンテナは前記周波数変換器を介して前記屋内アンテナへ通信可能に接続される請求項32記載の方法。
- 前記第2の位置において前記低電力基地局へ通信可能に接続される1つ又は複数の追加的な屋内アンテナを加えることをさらに含む請求項32記載の方法。
- 前記第2の位置における前記屋外アンテナは、2500MHz周波数帯域における無線通信を介して前記低電力基地局へ通信可能に接続され、前記屋内セルラーアンテナの前記カバレッジエリア内に設けられる前記移動体通信機器は、850MHz又は1900MHz周波数帯域の無線通信を使用して前記屋内セルラーアンテナへ通信可能に接続される請求項32記載の方法。
