Claims (8)
- エンドトキシンを対象として試料をアッセイする方法であって、前記方法は、
(a)アッセイの対象となる試料をLAL試薬と接触させ、エンドトキシンが前記試料中に存在する場合にはエンドトキシンが前記試薬と反応して凝固生成物が形成されるステップと、
(b)光ファイバーの端部を前記試料と接触させ、凝固生成物が存在する場合には凝固生成物が前記光ファイバーの前記端部上に形成する及び/又は前記端部に結合し、前記光ファイバーの前記端部がある光学的厚さを有し、凝固生成物が前記光ファイバーの前記端部上に形成する及び/又は前記端部に結合すると、前記光学的厚さが当初の厚さから増加するステップと、
(c)前記試料との接触後、前記光ファイバーの前記端部における前記光学的厚さを測定し、前記当初の厚さからの光学的厚さの増加はエンドトキシンの存在を示し、光学的厚さが増加しないことはエンドトキシンが存在しないことを示すステップと
を含む、方法。 - 前記試料中のエンドトキシン濃度を定量するステップを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 試料受け入れチャンバー内に前記試料を配置するステップと、前記試料を、前記試料受け入れチャンバーから、LAL試薬を有する反応チャンバーに受け渡し、前記光ファイバーの前記端部が前記反応チャンバー内で前記試料と接触するステップと、前記試料との接触後、前記光ファイバーの前記端部における前記光学的厚さを測定するステップとを含む、請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 複数の光ファイバーの前記端部を前記試料と接触させるステップと、前記試料との接触後、前記複数の光ファイバーの前記端部における前記光学的厚さを測定するステップとを含む、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 複数の光学的端部が束状に配置され、前記方法が、前記複数の光ファイバーの前記端部を前記試料と接触させるステップと、前記試料との接触後、前記複数の光ファイバーの前記端部における前記光学的厚さを測定するステップとを含む、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- エンドトキシンを対象として試料をアッセイするキットであって、前記キットは、端部を有する光ファイバーを備えるバイオセンサーとハウジングとを備え、
前記ハウジングは基部とキャップとを備え、
前記基部は、溝と、側壁を有する反応チャンバーとを備え、
前記反応チャンバーは、前記側壁を貫通する開口部を有し、
前記開口部は溝と連通し;
前記キャップは、試料受け入れチャンバーと突起部とを備え、
前記突起部は、側壁と突起部の前記側壁を貫通する少なくとも1つの開口部とを備え、
前記キャップは、前記基部と脱着可能に嵌合可能である、キット。 - LAL試薬と、端部を有する光ファイバーを備えるバイオセンサーとを更に具備し、
前記反応チャンバーが、その中にLAL試薬を有し、
