Abstract
【解決手段】レシーバ2は、プレーヤ1からコンテンツの信号を受信し、当該コンテンツの信号のうち圧縮オーディオ信号をサーバに送信してスピーカSPに出力可能なオーディオ信号に変換する処理を実行させ、当該オーディオ信号をサーバから受信してスピーカSPに供給する動作を行う。このようにして、レシーバ2は、サーバ側に信号処理を実行させ、サーバで処理されて生成されたオーディオ信号を出力するため、常に最新の信号処理(最新のデコード方法、最新の音響処理等)を行ったオーディオ信号を出力することが可能になる。

Description
上述の例では、CPU24が工場出荷時にROM26に記憶されているEDIDを読み出し、HDMIレシーバ210に出力させることで、プレーヤ1にEDIDを通知する例を示したが、変形例1では、他の装置から受信したEDIDをプレーヤ1に通知する。
図8は、変形例2に係るレシーバおよびサーバの構成を示すブロック図である。図4と共通する構成については同一の符号を付し、説明を省略する。
図9は、変形例3に係る信号処理システムの構成を示す概略図である。図9に示す信号処理システムは、プレーヤ1、アダプタ2A、レシーバ200、複数のスピーカSP、ネットワーク11、およびサーバ(同図においては3つのサーバ10A、サーバ10B、およびサーバ10C)からなる。

Claims (5)
- 時間的順序がある信号を入力する信号入力手段と、
前記信号入力手段で入力した信号をデータとして順次送信する送信手段と、
前記送信手段で送信したデータを外部装置で処理して生成された、前記時間的順序がある信号に応じた時間的順序がある出力用信号を受信する受信手段と、
を備えた信号処理装置。 - 前記出力用信号は、オーディオ信号であり、
前記受信手段で受信したオーディオ信号を増幅する増幅手段と、
前記増幅手段で増幅したオーディオ信号を出力する出力手段と、
を備えた請求項1に記載の信号処理装置。 - 前記信号入力手段を介して、自装置で処理可能な信号を示す処理可能情報を通知する通知手段を備えたことを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2に記載の信号処理装置。
- 新たな処理可能情報を他装置から入力し、当該入力した新たな処理可能情報を、前記通知手段を介して通知する処理可能情報入力手段をさらに備えた請求項3に記載の信号処理装置。
- 前記送信手段は、複数の外部装置に前記データを送信し、
前記受信手段は、前記複数の外部装置から前記出力用信号を受信し、
前記受信手段で受信した出力用信号の出力順を整合させる整合手段を備えた請求項1乃至請求項4のいずれかに記載の信号処理装置。
