Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a tape printer and a tape cartridge.
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, a tape printing apparatus is known that detects a mark provided on a tape by an optical sensor and detects the position of the tape based on the detected mark (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
However, in the configuration in which the position is detected using an optical sensor as in the conventional tape printer, the difference in the reflectance and transmittance of light due to the difference in material, surface condition, etc. affects the detection value of the optical sensor. Will affect. For this reason, there is a possibility that the position of the tape cannot be detected accurately.
The present invention has been made in view of the above-described circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to make it possible to more reliably detect the position of a tape by an optical sensor in a tape printer.
In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the present invention provides a photosensor for detecting the shape of the deformed portion with respect to a label tape in which a deformed portion for alignment is formed on a side end, and an upstream side of the photosensor. And a head for printing on the label tape and the deformed portion.
According to this configuration, since the print is performed by the head on the upstream side of the optical sensor with respect to the deformed portion for alignment of the label tape, the optical sensor detects the shape of the deformed portion that has been printed. By performing printing in this way, the change in the detection value when the optical sensor detects the shape of the deformed portion becomes more prominent. Thereby, the position of the label tape can be detected more reliably by the optical sensor without being affected by the reflectance and transmittance of the material of the label tape.
The present invention is the above tape printer, wherein the deformed portion of the label tape is cut out between the detected portion and the detected portion that are arranged at a predetermined interval in the longitudinal direction of the label tape. The optical sensor detects the detected portion by irradiating light to a position where the deformable portion is transported in the transport path of the label tape. Features.
According to this structure, a to-be-detected part is detected by irradiating light with an optical sensor. For this reason, by printing on the deformed portion with the print head, the difference in the detection value of the optical sensor between the notched portion and the detected portion becomes more prominent. Thereby, the position of the label tape can be detected more reliably.
Further, the present invention is the above tape printer, wherein the head performs printing on the detected portion without performing a printing operation on the cutout portion.
According to this configuration, since the printing operation for the cutout portion is not performed by the head, the life of the head can be improved and the energy consumed in the printing operation can be reduced.
Furthermore, the present invention is the above tape printing apparatus, wherein after the printing operation on the label tape is started, at least the detected portion that reaches the print position of the head first is detected by the head. Printing is performed on the entire copy.
According to this configuration, even if the position of the detected portion that first reaches the print position of the head is not accurately specified, printing is performed on the entire detected portion, so that the optical sensor can detect the cutout portion and the detected portion. The boundary with the part can be detected reliably. For this reason, the position of the label tape can be detected more reliably even immediately after the start of the printing operation.
In order to achieve the above object, the present invention comprises a label tape in which a cut for a die-cut label is formed, and an ink ribbon arranged so as to be transportable over the label tape. A deformed portion is formed at a side end portion of the tape, and the ink ribbon is provided so as to overlap with a range including the die cut label and the deformed portion.
According to this configuration, the deformed portion is formed on the side end portion of the label tape, and the ink ribbon is provided so as to overlap the range including the die-cut label and the deformed portion. By the printing apparatus that performs the printing, not only the die-cut label but also the deformed portion can be printed. Thereby, in a printing apparatus, it can print on a deformation | transformation part and can detect the position of the tape for labels reliably.
Further, the present invention is the above tape cartridge, wherein the deformable portion is formed by notching between a detected portion arranged in a longitudinal direction of the label tape and a predetermined interval between the detected portions. It is characterized by comprising.
According to this configuration, the deforming portion is configured by the detected portions arranged at predetermined intervals in the longitudinal direction of the label tape, and the notched portion formed by notching between the detected portions. By printing on the deformed portion with a printing apparatus that performs printing using the cartridge, the boundary between the notched portion and the detected portion can be reliably detected.
According to the present invention, in the tape printer, the position of the tape can be more reliably detected by the optical sensor.
Hereinafter, a

FIG. 1 is a structural diagram schematically showing the main part of the
As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the
The
A
The printing unit 4 includes a
The
In the present embodiment, as an example, a case where the
The
The
When the
When the
The
The
Furthermore, the
The
The
The
As shown in FIG. 2, a
The
2 and 3, in FIG. 2 and FIG. 3, in the transport direction of the
The ink ribbon 23 (FIG. 1) has a width that overlaps the entire width of the
The
Further, the
The
In the
As shown in FIG. 2, the
FIG. 3 is a structural diagram of the main part of the
As shown in FIG. 3, the
In the state shown in FIG. 3, since the surface of the detected
When the
The
Further, the
The
Further, in the present embodiment, an example will be described in which printing is performed on only a part of each detected
Therefore, it is possible to reduce the colored area of the detected

FIG. 4 is a flowchart showing the operation of the
When the print data is input by operating the keyboard 54 (step S1) and a printing instruction is input (step S2), the

The
As described above, according to the first embodiment to which the present invention is applied, printing is performed on the
The
Moreover, since the printing operation with respect to the
Furthermore, after the printing operation on the

Moreover, although the said 1st Embodiment gave and demonstrated the example in which the position of the front-

For example, as illustrated in FIG. 5, the
In this example, when the

[Second Embodiment]
Hereinafter, a second embodiment to which the present invention is applied will be described with reference to FIG. In the second embodiment, the same components as those in the first embodiment are denoted by the same reference numerals, and the description thereof is omitted.
In the first embodiment, the
FIG. 6 is a structural diagram of a main part of the
The
The
The
In the transport direction of the
The
The
As described above, since the
Each embodiment mentioned above shows one mode to which the present invention is applied, and the present invention is not limited to the above embodiment.
For example, in the above embodiment, the
