Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a light-emitting device suitable for irradiating light emitted from a light-emitting element over a wide range and a lamp provided with the same.
Patent Document 1 discloses a structure in which a light emitting element and a resin for molding thereof are arranged in a reflection frame of a package using a white resin. A lead frame is used for the package, and the frame portion is formed of a white resin to form a reflective structure, and light emitted from the light emitting element is extracted in one direction with increased directivity.
Patent Document 2 has a structure in which a light emitting element is molded with a resin containing a fluorescent material without adopting a structure of a reflection frame.
The reflection frame structure disclosed in Patent Document 1 is unsuitable for diffusing light in all directions. Since the structure without a reflection frame disclosed in Patent Document 2 is molded at a time, it is difficult to finely set the resin shape. In particular, when the resin contains a fluorescent material or a light diffusing material, the optimum arrangement of the contained material tends to be difficult due to the specific gravity of the resin and the contained material.
In addition, the structures disclosed in Patent Documents 1 and 2 have a box shape as a whole and a terminal structure intended for surface mounting on a circuit board. Therefore, the wires are arranged in the air like a metal filament. The structure was unsuitable for replacing the light source.
Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a light-emitting device suitable for replacement of a linear light source arranged in the air like a filament and a lamp equipped with the light-emitting device. Another object is to provide a light-emitting device in which light directivity is suppressed and light can be easily extracted in all directions.
The light-emitting device according to the first aspect of the present invention includes a resin frame type package that is elongated in the left and right direction and is integrated with the first resin with a part of the plurality of leads being exposed, And a second resin that seals the plurality of light emitting elements, wherein the plurality of light emitting elements are electrically connected to one of the plurality of leads, respectively. The first and second resins are light-transmitting resins, and the side walls constituting the resin frame are higher than the top surfaces of the leads, and the second resin extends to the top of the resin frame. The second resin contains a fluorescent material having a specific gravity greater than that of the second resin, and the fluorescent material is intensively disposed near the plurality of light emitting elements, Part of the emitted light and the plurality of light emitting elements The part of al exiting light is guided to the rear surface side of the plurality of leads, it is characterized in that protrude to the right and left outer leads for external connections from the right and left ends of the package.
By using the first and second resins as light-transmitting resins, both resins can function as light guides, and light can be guided to the back side of the leads on which the light emitting elements are arranged. By making the package into a rod shape, linear light can be generated. By projecting the outer leads for external connection from the left and right ends of the package to the left and right, it is possible to improve workability when adhering adjacent light emitting devices by welding or the like.
The light emitting device according to the first aspect of the present invention may contain a fluorescent material as the second resin. The emission color of the light-emitting element can be converted into another color by the fluorescent material contained in the resin.
In the lamp of the second aspect of the present invention, the plurality of light emitting devices are connected in series by adhering adjacent outer leads so that the adjacent light emitting devices form a V shape, and both ends of the series connection are connected. The filament portion is configured by being fixed to a power supply lead. Since the adjacent outer leads are fixedly connected in series so that the adjacent bar-like light emitting devices form a V shape, the light emission form similar to that of the metal filament can be taken. Since the rod-like light emitting device is made of light-transmitting resin, light can be extracted not only in the front and back direction of the lead but also in the extending direction of the outer lead for external connection, in all directions of 360 degrees. It can be set as the lamp which light-emits light uniformly toward.
A light-emitting device according to a third aspect of the present invention includes an elongated resin frame type light-transmitting first resin having a side wall, a metal material disposed inside the first resin, and the metal material. A light emitting element installed on the first resin, projecting outward from both ends of the first resin, an outer lead electrically connected to the light emitting element, and the first material so as to cover the metal material; And a second transparent resin filled in the resin, wherein a part of the light emitted from the light emitting element is guided to the back side of the metal material.
The light from the light emitting device can be extracted over a wide range, and a light emitting device having a wide directivity and a lamp equipped with the same can be provided. A light-emitting device in which adjacent light-emitting devices can be easily fixed can be provided.
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view of the light emitting device 1 according to the present invention in the longitudinal direction (AA in FIG. 3D), and FIG. 2 is the lateral direction of the light emitting device 1 (BB in FIG. 3D). It is sectional drawing.

Hereinafter, the structure of the light-emitting device 1 will be described in detail with reference to the manufacturing steps shown in FIGS. 3 (A) to 3 (D).
As shown in FIG. 3A, a lead frame in which a plurality of

Next, as shown in FIG. 3C, the
After fixing the
Next, as shown in FIG. 3D, the
Since the

As the fluorescent material becomes farther away from the
Since the
As shown in FIG. 2, the
When the
In the light emitting device 1 thus completed, when a predetermined voltage is applied between the
FIG. 4 shows a distribution of relative outputs in the vertical and horizontal directions of the light emitting device 1. As shown in FIG. 2, 0 ° (360 °) is the left direction of the
FIG. 4A shows the distribution of relative output in the above embodiment, and FIG. 4B shows the distribution of relative output in the conventional example in which the first resin is composed of a light-reflective white resin. Referring to FIGS. 4A and 4B, in the above embodiment, the light amount in the 270 ° (back surface direction) direction is changed from 0.1 to 0.4 in the relative light amount when compared with the conventional example. It can be seen that it has increased significantly. Therefore, according to the above embodiment, the light emission direction can be expanded in all directions, not in one direction, and wide directivity can be realized.

By adopting a side shape that bulges outward in the vertical center, the critical angle of light emitted from the side surface is adjusted, and light that passes through the side surface and exits to the side is effective in the back direction. Guidance and the relative light quantity in the direction of the back surface can be increased.

Such a light emitting device 1 can be used as a light source constituting a filament portion of a light bulb which is an example of a lamp.
FIG. 7 shows a partially omitted front view of a light-emitting diode-based light bulb 8 which is an example of a lamp using the above-described light-emitting device 1 for the filament portion 9. With reference to FIG. 7, a light-emitting diode-based light bulb 8 which is an embodiment of the lamp of the present invention will be described.

When the light bulb 8 having such a configuration is attached to a socket (not shown), a commercial power source is applied to the
As described above, since the filament portion 9 is arranged in a zigzag shape with the rod-like light emitting device 1 in the same shape as the metal filament, a light emission form similar to the filament of a general incandescent bulb can be obtained. Therefore, for example, in the structure in which a plurality of light emitting diodes are directly mounted on a control board, the directivity becomes narrow due to light shielding by the control board. However, in this embodiment, the directivity is similar to that of an incandescent bulb using a metal filament. The sex can be widened.
Since the light emitting device 1 itself has a wide directivity structure capable of emitting light from all directions, the light emitting device 1 when the adjacent light emitting device 1 and the outer leads 41a and 43a of the light emitting device 1 are fixed together by welding or the like. The degree of freedom of arrangement can be increased.
In addition, since light can be extracted from both the left and right ends of the light emitting device 1, more light can be guided in the direction toward the top of the

The present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and various modifications can be made without departing from the spirit of the present invention.
The present invention can be applied to a light emitting device that irradiates light from a light emitting element over a wide range and a lamp such as a light bulb using the light emitting device.
