Abstract
Description
オリジナルの建造物、補修、製造されたコンクリート製品、装甲、吹き付け、および他の用途のための、混和された水硬性セメント質材料ならびにそれらのコンクリートおよびモルタル誘導体を製造するための、新規組成物ファミリーを開示する。これらの材料は、カルシウム含有産業副産物と、化学的活性化剤、凝結遅延剤、接着増強剤、および機械的強度改良剤との制御された反応を示す。
ポゾラン特性を有する材料は、ガラス質のシリカおよびアルミナを含有し、これらは、水および遊離石灰の存在下においてカルシウムと反応して、ケイ酸カルシウムおよびケイ酸アルミナカルシウム水和物を生成する。ポゾランには、天然および工業ポゾランの両方が存在する。
本発明は、乳酸の誘導体、ラクテート、および乳酸の塩が、ポゾランセメントの水和活性化剤として使用される場合に、意外にも驚いたことに、セメントの流動特性、例えば、スランプ保持性およびワーカビリティ等を向上させるという発見に基づいている。スランプ保持性およびワーカビリティの向上により、作業者は、クエン酸塩活性化剤または他のより長鎖のカルボン酸の塩を用いる活性化剤の使用に関連する時間の制約なしに、所望のテクスチャを得るために表面仕上げ作業を行うことができる。興味深いことに、すべての3炭素カルボン酸がラクテートのような利点を生み出すわけではない。特に、別の3炭素カルボン酸であるプロピオン酸の塩は、ラクテート活性化セメントによって特徴付けられるような保持性およびワーカビリティの向上を生み出さないことが見出された。本明細書において説明されるように、乳酸、ラクテート、または乳酸の塩を、主要な活性化剤として使用する。本明細書において使用される場合、「乳酸をベースとする化学的活性化剤」という語句は、活性化剤である乳酸、ラクテート、および乳酸の塩を意味する。
本発明より以前には、ほとんどのセメント用途によって要求される強度および硬度を提供するには、高温焼成(ポルトランドセメントの場合)または強酸−塩基化学(先行技術のポゾランセメントの場合)が必要であると一般に考えられていた。この一般的な考えの後に、本発明者らは、pH中性活性化剤、特にクエン酸塩を使用することによって、従来の酸−塩基活性化剤化学に従って調製したポルトランドセメントまたはポゾランセメントに比べ、予想外に優れた特性を有するセメント製造物を製造することができることを発見した。
本発明によるセメントは、下記で説明する材料を、砂、石、および他のフィラーを含まないセメント組成物全体の重量百分率で表される量で含んでいてもよい。「セメント」なる用語は、概して、本明細書では結合剤組成物を意味するために使用される。「セメント質組成物」なる用語は、概して、本明細書ではセメント(または結合剤)と、フィラー、例えば、砂、石等との組み合わせを意味するために使用される。セメント質化合物は、典型的には、約5〜約60パーセントのセメントを含む。
ポゾラン粉末の例としては、クラスCのフライアッシュ、クラスFのフライアッシュ、およびクラスNのポゾランアッシュが挙げられる。セメント質化合物は、高カルシウム含有ポゾラン粉末としてクラスCのフライアッシュを含んでいてもよい。いくつかの態様において、クラスCのフライアッシュは、約50〜約98重量パーセントの範囲で、約60〜約95重量パーセントの範囲内で、または約70〜約95重量パーセントの範囲内でセメント中に含まれていてもよい。好ましくは、高カルシウム含有ポゾラン粉末の酸化物(CaO)として表されるカルシウム含有量は、約22重量パーセントよりも高く、かつ約22〜約30重量パーセントの範囲である。CaO含有量が低い場合、追加の石灰含有成分、例えば、水酸化カルシウム、硝酸カルシウム、亜硝酸カルシウム、硫酸カルシウム、または炭酸カルシウム等を添加してもよい。高カルシウム含有ポゾラン粉末としてのクラスCのフライアッシュの使用について、主に本明細書で説明しているが、いくつかの態様では、クラスCのフライアッシュの部分的または完全な代用として他のタイプのカルシウム含有ポゾラン粉末を使用してもよい(例えば、高炉スラグ、セメント窯ダスト、および石灰窯ダスト)ことに留意されたい。

大面積用製造物(例えば、表2の実施例4)は、使用前に、活性化剤を除く全ての成分を混合することにより製造してもよい。活性化剤は、その後、コンクリートに反応を開始させる必要がある時点で添加してもよい。活性化剤が添加されると、最終凝結に至る化学反応が開始される。特定の混和によって、最終凝結前にどの程度の作業時間が利用可能であるかが決定されるであろう。

を含むセメント質組成物。 - 前記化学的活性化剤が、乳酸のpH中性塩である、請求項1記載のセメント質組成物。
- 前記化学的活性化剤が、乳酸カリウム、乳酸ナトリウム、乳酸リチウム、乳酸カルシウム、または乳酸マグネシウムを含む、請求項2記載のセメント質組成物。
- 前記pH中性塩が、アルカリ金属またはアルカリ土類を含む、請求項2記載のセメント質組成物。
- 化学的凝結遅延剤をさらに含む、請求項1記載のセメント質組成物。
- 前記凝結遅延剤がホウ素化合物を含む、請求項5記載のセメント質組成物。
- 前記ホウ素化合物が、ホウ酸、酸化ホウ素、ホウ酸ナトリウム、テトラホウ酸ナトリウム、ホウ酸カリウムおよびテトラホウ酸カリウム、ホウ砂五水和物、ならびにホウ砂10水和物からなる群より選択される、請求項6記載のセメント質組成物。
- クエン酸活性化剤、アルカリ金属活性化剤、および金属炭酸塩活性化剤を実質的に含有しない、請求項1記載のセメント質組成物。
