Abstract
Se describen composiciones de cemento en las cuales se controlan cuidadosamente las propiedades de cementación de las cenizas volantes. Las composiciones de cemento pueden estar sustancialmente libres de bases y ácidos fuertes tales como ácido cítrico (pH2.2) y activadores de metales alcalinos incluyendo hidróxidos alcalinos (pH12-14) y carbonatos metálicos (pH11.6). El uso de estos químicos fuertes crea reacciones ácido-base durante el uso de los productos. En vez de estos químicos fuertes, se usa un activador basado en una sal de ácido láctico como un acelerador de reacción. Se pueden usar compuestos bóricos como un retardador en las composiciones.
