Claims (10)
- 自動車内燃機関の排気ガスに含まれる微粒子をろ過するために設けられているパティキュレートフィルタ(5)の作動方法であり、前記パティキュレートフィルタ(5)が新品の場合、コンディショニング工程が実施され、前記パティキュレートフィルタ(5)の微粒子分離性能が、新品の状態で備わっている値に比べ上昇するように前記コンディションニング工程が実施される方法。
- 前記コンディショニング工程が、ガスに含まれる微粒子の少なくとも一部が前記パティキュレートフィルタ(5)によってろ過され、前記パティキュレートフィルタ(5)内に残されるように、前記微粒子含有ガスが前記パティキュレートフィルタ(5)を通過させることを含んでいることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記コンディショニング工程が、前記パティキュレートフィルタ(5)を前記内燃機関(1)に接続した状態で行われることを特徴とする、請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 前記コンディショニング工程を実施する際に、前記内燃機関(1)が、少なくとも一時的に、前記内燃機関(1)によって排出される排気ガスが通常の作動状態と比べ高い微粒子濃度を有するように作動することを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記コンディショニング工程を実施する際に、前記内燃機関(1)が、前記内燃機関(1)によって排出される排気ガスが1m3当たり0.01gより多い微粒子濃度を有するように作動することを特徴とする、請求項3又は4に記載の方法。
- 前記コンディショニング工程を実施するため、前記パティキュレートフィルタ(5)が車両外部のコンディショニング装置に接続されることを特徴とする、請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 前記コンディショニング工程を実施する際、前記微粒子含有ガスが、所定の時間で前記パティキュレートフィルタ(5)に送られることを特徴とする、請求項2〜6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記コンディショニング工程を実施する際、平均で0.1mmよりも小さい空気力学的粒径の微粒子を備える微粒子含有ガスが、前記パティキュレートフィルタ(5)に送られることを特徴とする、請求項2〜7のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記コンディショニング工程の実施後、1リットルのパティキュレートフィルタ容量当たり10mgより多い微粒子量が前記パティキュレートフィルタ(5)によってろ過され、前記パティキュレートフィルタ(5)内に残されていることを特徴とする、請求項2〜8のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記コンディショニング工程を実施する際、前記パティキュレートフィルタ(5)に残された微粒子を、規定に従ったパティキュレートフィルタ(5)の使用中にほぼ取り除くことができるように微粒子含有ガスが使用されることを特徴とする、請求項2〜9のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
