Abstract
【解決手段】本発明は、前面にディスプレイ装置が設置された本体と、本体の背面に回動可能に設置される支持板と、本体の背面に形成されて支持板を収容する収容溝と、を具備し、支持板は、収容溝に収容された状態から回動して本体の背面から突出する携帯用端末機を提供する。上記のような構成の携帯用端末機は、支持板が本体を平坦面に対して傾斜するようにクレイドルできるので、クレイドル機能を提供するための別途のカバーやケースを携帯する必要がない。

Description
典型的な携帯用端末機は、物理的なスイッチ群からなるキーボードの代わりに、仮想キーボードをデータ入力機能として具現するタッチスクリーンを利用するディスプレイ装置を備えており、その結果、全体サイズの小型化の進行にも拘わらずディスプレイ装置の拡大が可能になった。これを通じて携帯用端末機の使用性(usability)と携帯性(portability)が共に増強された。それは、タッチスクリーンがその画面上にキーボードを具現することによって、ユーザが必要な時にだけキーボード機能を活性化して使用できるからである。
本発明の更に他の目的は、クレイドル機能を提供するためのカバーやケースを追加で装着する必要がないので、小型化、スリム化に適合した携帯用端末機を提供することにある。
本発明の更に他の目的は、外観デザインの向上に寄与できる支持板を備える携帯用端末機を提供することにある。
更に、タブレットPCなどの付加装置としてのバッテリーパック、又は、携帯用端末機のメモリーカード及び加入者識別モジュール(subscriber identity module、SIM)等の格納媒体は通常、少なくとも一部が外部に露出するが、これらを装着するためのスロットを支持板により隠蔽できるので、端末機の外観デザインを向上できる。
支持板102が収容溝115に収容された状態でも、カム部材127a、127bと板バネ125a、125b間の静止摩擦力により支持板102の回動を抑制する。従って、ユーザが支持板102を容易に回動できるように、端末機100は少なくとも一つの操作溝123を更に含む。本実施形態では操作溝123が支持板102の端部に形成された構成を例示しているが、収容溝115の側壁に形成されることもできる。ただし、操作溝123は、回動軸(A)と十分に離間した位置に形成されなければならないことに注意すべきである。従って、本発明の具体的な実施形態では、回動軸(A)が支持板102の一側端(上端、奥側の端部)に位置され、操作溝123は支持板102の他側端(下端、手前側の端部)に形成されている。

Claims (15)
- 携帯用端末機であって、
前面にディスプレイ装置が設置された本体と、
前記本体の背面に回動可能に設置される支持板と、
前記本体の背面に形成されて前記支持板を収容する収容溝と、を具備し、
前記支持板は、前記収容溝に収容された状態で回動して前記本体の背面から突出することを特徴とする携帯用端末機。 - 前記支持板に形成される開口部を更に備え、
前記支持板が前記収容溝に収容された状態で、前記開口部を介して前記収容溝の一部分が露出されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の携帯用端末機。 - 前記収容溝上に配置されるカメラモジュールを更に備え、
前記支持板が前記収容溝に収容された状態で、前記カメラモジュールが前記開口部を介して露出されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の携帯用端末機。 - 前記支持板の端部に形成される操作溝を更に備え、
前記支持板が前記収容溝に収容された状態で、前記支持板の端部が前記収容溝の内側壁に係合し、前記操作溝は前記収容溝の内側壁と離間した状態で向かい合うように位置することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の携帯用端末機。 - 前記収容溝に形成されて格納媒体を装着する空間を提供する少なくとも一つのスロットを更に備え、
前記支持板が前記収容溝に収容されたとき、前記スロットが閉鎖されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の携帯用端末機。 - 前記支持板の回動軸は前記収容溝の一側端に隣接するように配置され、前記スロットは前記収容溝の他側端に隣接するように配置されることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の携帯用端末機。
- 前記支持板は、前記収容溝に収容された位置から回動して90度の傾斜角又は180度の傾斜角で停止した状態で維持されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の携帯用端末機。
- 前記本体の内部に固定される板バネと、
前記支持板の少なくとも一側端に形成され、且つ、前記支持板の回動軸上に形成されるカム部材と、を更に備え、
前記支持板が回動することによって、前記カム部材はその外周面が前記板バネに支持された状態で前記回動軸を中心に回転することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の携帯用端末機。 - 前記カム部材の外周面に形成される少なくとも一対の平坦面を更に備え、
前記板バネが前記平坦面中の一つと対面するように密着され、前記支持板を90度の傾斜角又は180度の傾斜角で停止した状態で維持することを特徴とする請求項8に記載の携帯用端末機。 - 前記カム部材は、外周面に複数の係止溝が形成された円柱形状であり、前記板バネに設けた凸部が前記係止溝のうちの一つと係合し、前記支持板を90度の傾斜角又は180度の傾斜角で停止した状態で維持することを特徴とする請求項8に記載の携帯用端末機。
- 前記収容溝に配置される印刷パターンを更に備え、
前記印刷パターンは、前記支持板が前記収容溝に収容された状態で、前記支持板により被覆されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の携帯用端末機。 - 前記本体の背面に脱着可能に設けられる少なくとも一つの付加装置を更に備え、
前記支持板は、前記本体の背面から突出された状態ではクレイドルとして活用されることを特徴とする請求項1乃至11のいずれか一項に記載の携帯用端末機。 - 前記支持板に形成される開口部を更に備え、
複数の前記付加装置が前記本体の背面に提供され、前記支持板が前記本体の背面に折り畳まれた状態で、前記付加装置のうち一つは前記開口部を介して露出されることを特徴とする請求項12に記載の携帯用端末機。 - 前記開口部を介して露出される付加装置は、カメラモジュールであることを特徴とする請求項13に記載の携帯用端末機。
- 前記本体の背面に形成される少なくとも一つのスロットを更に備え、
前記付加装置は、前記スロットに装着可能に設けられる格納媒体又はバッテリーパックであり、前記支持板が前記スロット及び付加装置を開閉することを特徴とする請求項12に記載の携帯用端末機。
