可動ダイセット間に層のセクションを順番に固定することにより、層をダイ断面形状に連続して形成するステップを含む、請求項1乃至5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。 - ダイ断面形状は、形成ダイセットの長さにわたって変化する、請求項1乃至6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 複合品は、少なくとも航空機又は宇宙探査機のコンポーネントを含む、請求項1乃至7のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 樹脂は、マトリックス材料の存在下では、
マトリックス材料に少なくとも部分的に溶解する、
マトリックス材料と反応する、及び
マトリックス材料の硬化中にマトリックス材料のフェーズとは異なるフェーズに留まる、
のうちの少なくとも一の特性を有する熱可塑性樹脂とする、請求項1乃至8のいずれか一項に記載の方法。 - 樹脂は熱可塑性樹脂とし、
少なくとも二のプリフォームをプリフォームスタックにスタッキングするステップ、
熱可塑性樹脂の粘着性を弱める温度までプリフォームスタックを加熱するステップ、
プリフォームスタックに圧縮力を印加するステップ、及び
熱可塑性樹脂を凝固させ、凝固プリフォームアセンブリを形成するステップをさらに含む、請求項1乃至9のいずれか一項に記載の方法。 - プリフォームを形成するシステムであって、
ダイ断面形状を有し、且つ樹脂を含む粘着力の高められた繊維状物質の層を受けるように構成された形成ダイセット、
形成ダイセットを介して層を引き出すように構成されたプルメカニズム、及び
樹脂が凝固する時に層が断面形状を保持するプリフォームに形成されるような方法で、樹脂を加熱するように構成された加熱装置を備えるシステム。 - 繊維状物質の層は、およそ2体積パーセントから4体積パーセントの樹脂を含む、請求項11に記載のシステム。
- 繊維状物質は、互いに異なる繊維状物質の少なくとも二の層を含み、且つ
層は、層アセンブリとして形成ダイセットに引き出されている、請求項11又は12に記載のシステム。 - 形成ダイセットを介して層を引き抜き成形するように構成されたプルメカニズムをさらに備える、請求項11乃至13のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 形成ダイセットは、層の一連のセクションを連続して固定するように構成された可動ダイセットを含む、請求項11乃至14のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
