- 第１ユニットと、第２ユニットとを有し、
前記第１ユニットは、発光領域及び透光性非発光領域を有し、
前記発光領域は、発光素子を有し、
前記第２ユニットは、光の透過量を制御する光学素子を有し、
前記透光性非発光領域と、前記光学素子と互いに重なることを特徴とする発光装置。 - 第１の基板及び第２の基板と、
前記第１の基板及び前記第２の基板を挟持する、前記第１の偏光板及び前記第２の偏光板とを有し、
前記第１の基板は、発光領域及び透光性非発光領域を有し、
前記第２の基板は、光の透過量を制御する光学素子を有し、
前記透光性非発光領域と、前記光学素子と互いに重なることを特徴とする発光装置。 - 請求項１又は請求項２において、
前記発光素子は、ＥＬ素子を有し、
前記光学素子は、ＭＥＭＳを用いたシャッター、又は液晶素子を有することを特徴とする発光装置。
