被験者は男性I氏、58歳。施用前は頭頂部特に薄毛、そりこみが顕著に見られ、前髪の量は僅少であり、ふけおよび脱毛が顕著に認められた。

ハウス内のガーベラを100鉢ずつA群およびB群に分け、両群に肥料と水を与えた。B群にはさらにミネラル含有水溶液組成物の1000倍希釈液250mLを、10日に1回各鉢の土に与えた。A、B両群について、月別の1鉢あたりの採花本数の平均値を調べた。
