Description
Claims (34)
- 半導体発光装置であって、
細長い中空の波長変換チューブであって、そのなかに分散された波長変換材料を有する細長い波長変換チューブ壁を含む細長い中空の波長変換チューブと、
半導体発光デバイスであって、前記細長い波長変換チューブ壁およびそのなかに分散された前記波長変換材料に当たるように、前記細長い中空の波長変換チューブ内部に光を放射するような向きに配置された半導体デバイスと、
を含む半導体発光装置。 - 請求項1に記載の装置であって、前記半導体発光デバイスが、放射された前記光の少なくとも約20%が傾いた角度で前記細長い波長変換チューブ壁に当たるような向きに配置されている前記装置。
- 請求項1に記載の装置であって、前記半導体発光デバイスが、放射された前記光の少なくとも約90%が傾いた角度で前記細長い波長変換チューブ壁に当たるような向きに配置されている前記装置。
- 請求項1に記載の装置であって、前記半導体発光デバイスが、約1mm2の面積を有する青色発光ダイオードであり、前記半導体発光装置は、約4700Kの色温度でワット当たり約160ルーメンを発生する前記装置。
- 請求項1に記載の装置であって、前記半導体発光デバイスが、約1mm2の面積を有する青色発光ダイオードであり、前記半導体発光装置は、約5500Kの色温度でワット当たり約150ルーメンを発生する前記装置。
- 請求項1に記載の装置であって、前記細長い中空の波長変換チューブが、そのなかに埋め込まれた前記波長変換材料に当たって変換された光に対する経路長を増やすことなしに、前記半導体発光デバイスが放射した光で、そのなかに埋め込まれた前記波長変換材料に当たらない光に対して、前記細長い波長変換チューブ壁を通過する、より長い経路長を提供するように、前記半導体発光デバイスに相対的な向きに配置されている前記装置。
- 請求項1に記載の装置であって、前記チューブ壁がチューブ軸を定義しており、前記半導体発光デバイスが、放射軸のまわりに対称的に光を放射するよう構成されており、前記半導体発光デバイスが、前記放射軸が前記チューブ軸と一致するような向きに配置されている前記装置。
- 請求項1に記載の装置であって、前記細長い中空の波長変換チューブが第1と第2の対向する端部を含んでおり、前記半導体発光デバイスが前記第1の端部に隣接している前記装置。
- 請求項8に記載の装置であって、前記第2の端部が閉じた第2の端部である前記装置。
- 請求項9に記載の装置であって、前記第2の端部がクリンプされた第2の端部である前記装置。
- 請求項9に記載の装置であって、さらに前記第2の端部にキャップを含む前記装置。
- 請求項11に記載の装置であって、前記キャップが波長変換材料を含んでいる前記装置。
- 請求項11に記載の装置であって、前記キャップが反射材料を含んでいる前記装置。
- 請求項8に記載の装置であって、前記半導体発光デバイスが第1の半導体発光デバイスであって、前記装置は、さらに前記第2の端部に隣接する第2の半導体発光デバイスであって、前記細長い波長変換チューブ壁およびそのなかに分散された前記波長変換材料に当たるように、前記細長い中空の波長変換チューブ内部に光を放射するような向きに配置された第2の半導体発光デバイスを含む前記装置。
- 請求項14に記載の装置であって、さらに前記細長い中空の波長変換チューブ内部の、前記第1と第2の半導体発光デバイスとの間に両面反射体を含む前記装置。
- 請求項14に記載の装置であって、前記細長い中空の波長変換チューブが、前記第1と第2の半導体発光デバイスとの間でクリンプされている前記装置。
- 請求項1に記載の装置であって、前記半導体発光デバイスが、少なくとも部分的に前記細長い中空の波長変換チューブ内部に入り込んでいる前記装置。
- 請求項17に記載の装置であって、前記細長い中空の波長変換チューブが、第1と第2の対向する端部を含んでおり、前記半導体発光デバイスが、前記第1の端部に向かって光を放射するように、少なくとも部分的に前記波長変換チューブ内部に入り込んでいる前記装置。
- 請求項18に記載の装置であって、前記半導体発光デバイスが第1の半導体発光デバイスであって、前記装置は、さらに、第2の半導体発光デバイスであって、前記第2の端部に向かって光を放射するように、少なくとも部分的に前記細長い中空の波長変換チューブ内部に入り込んでいる第2の半導体発光デバイスを含む前記装置。
- 請求項19に記載の装置であって、前記第1および第2の半導体発光デバイスが、前記細長い中空の波長変換チューブ内部で互いに背中合わせの向きに配置されている前記装置。
- 請求項1に記載の装置であって、前記細長い中空の波長変換チューブが第1の細長い中空の波長変換チューブであって、前記装置は、さらに第2の細長い中空の波長変換チューブを含み、前記第1および第2の細長い中空の波長変換チューブが1つの共通の端部を共有しており、前記半導体発光デバイスが前記共通の端部に隣接して位置して、前記第1および第2の細長い中空の波長変換チューブ内部に光を放射する向きに配置されている前記装置。
- 請求項1に記載の装置であって、前記細長い中空の波長変換チューブ壁が、内側および外側表面を含んでおり、前記細長い中空の波長変換チューブが、さらに、前記内側表面および/または前記外側表面に支持層を含んでいる前記装置。
- 請求項1に記載の装置であって、前記細長い中空の波長変換チューブが第1の細長い中空の波長変換チューブであって、前記装置は、さらに、
第2の細長い中空の波長変換チューブであって、そのなかに分散された波長変換材料を有する第2の細長い波長変換チューブ壁を含み、前記第1および第2の細長い中空の波長変換チューブが互いに同軸になっている第2の細長い中空の波長変換チューブ、
を含む前記装置。 - 請求項1に記載の装置であって、前記細長いチューブ壁が内側および外側表面を含んでおり、前記内側および/または外側表面が表面模様を施されている前記装置。
- 請求項24に記載の装置であって、前記内側および/または外側表面が不均一に表面模様を施されている前記装置。
- 請求項1に記載の装置であって、前記細長いチューブ壁が、そのなかに不均一に分散された波長変換材料を有している前記装置。
- 請求項1に記載の装置であって、さらに
搭載基板と、
前記搭載基板上のドームと、
を含み、
前記半導体発光デバイスが、前記搭載基板と前記ドームとの間に位置しており、
前記ドームが、少なくとも部分的に前記細長い中空の波長変換チューブの端部の中に入り込んでおり、前記搭載基板が、少なくとも部分的に前記細長い中空の波長変換チューブの外に広がっている、

一対のスタンドオフであって、前記細長い中空の波長変換チューブと前記第1および第2の半導体発光デバイスとを前記基部から離して保持する一対のスタンドオフと、
球状部分であって、前記ネジ式の基部に接続されて、前記中空の波長変換チューブと前記第1および第2の半導体発光デバイスとを囲む球状部分と、
を含む前記装置。 - 請求項21に記載の装置であって、さらに、複数の細長い中空の波長変換チューブであって、前記共通の端部を共有し、中心軸のまわりに広がる複数の細長い中空の波長変換チューブを含む前記装置。

- 請求項30に記載の装置であって、前記複数の発光フィラメントが、共通の原点のまわりに三次元配列状に広がっている前記装置。
- 半導体発光装置の組立方法であって、
基板上にある半導体発光デバイスを囲むドームを、そのなかに分散された波長変換材料を有する細長い中空の波長変換チューブの1つの端部の内部に少なくとも部分的に挿入する工程、
を含む方法。 - 請求項33に記載の方法であって、さらに前記端部から遠い場所で、前記細長い中空の波長変換チューブをクリンプする工程を含む、前記方法。
