Abstract
【解決手段】基板1の表面に第1電極2と第2電極3とが形成される。前記第1電極2の表面に有機層4が形成される。この有機層4の表面と前記第2電極3の表面とにわたって陰極層5が形成された有機電界発光素子Aに関する。前記第2電極3は前記基板1の表面の一辺1dに沿って形成される。前記第1電極2は前記基板1の表面の前記一辺1d以外の辺1a、1b、1cに沿って形成される。

Claims (8)
- 基板の表面に第1電極と第2電極とが形成され、前記第1電極の表面に有機層が形成され、この有機層の表面と前記第2電極の表面とにわたって陰極層が形成された有機電界発光素子であって、前記第2電極は前記基板の表面の一辺に沿って形成され、前記第1電極は前記基板の表面の前記一辺以外の辺に沿って形成されて成ることを特徴とする有機電界発光素子。
- 前記陰極層の前記第2電極側と反対側の一辺と、前記基板の前記第2電極側と反対側の一辺との間の寸法をd1、前記第1電極の前記第2電極側の一辺と、前記基板の前記第2電極側の一辺との間の寸法をd3、前記陰極層の前記第2電極側の一辺と直交する方向の一辺と、前記基板の前記第2電極側の一辺と直交する方向の一辺との間の寸法をd2とした場合に、d1+d3=2×d2の関係を満たすように形成されて成ることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光素子。
- 前記第1電極よりも体積抵抗の低い第3電極が前記第1電極に設けられて成ることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の有機電界発光素子。
- 前記第3電極が前記第1電極の前記第2電極と向かい合う一辺にまで形成されて成ることを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のいずれか一項に記載の有機電界発光素子。
- 前記第1電極の端面と前記基板の端面とを揃えて形成されて成ることを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれか一項に記載の有機電界発光素子。
- 請求項1乃至5のいずれか一項に記載の有機電界発光素子が二つ以上電気的に接続された有機電界発光ユニットであって、隣接する前記有機電界発光素子は前記第2電極側の端部と直交する方向の端部において、前記第1電極同士が電気的に接続されて成ることを特徴とする有機電界発光ユニット。
- 請求項6に記載の有機電界発光ユニットが二つ以上電気的に接続された照明器具であって、隣接する前記有機電界発光ユニットは、一方の前記有機電界発光ユニットの第2電極と、他方の前記有機電界発光ユニットの前記第2電極側と反対側にある前記第1電極とが電気的に接続されて成ることを特徴とする照明器具。
- 一方の前記有機電界発光ユニットの前記第2電極と、他方の前記有機電界発光ユニットの前記第2電極側と反対側にある前記第1電極とを電気的に接続する部材が光反射性を有することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の照明器具。
