Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an electric wire with a terminal fitting and a terminal fitting.
Conventionally, the thing of patent document 1 is known as an electric wire with a terminal metal fitting. This electric wire with a terminal fitting includes an electric wire whose outer periphery is coated with an insulating layer, and a terminal fitting connected to the core wire exposed from the insulating layer. The connecting portion of the core wire is crimped (crimped) by a wire barrel provided in the terminal fitting.
The electric wire with a terminal fitting is used, for example, in an engine room of an automobile. As described in Patent Document 1 and the like, normally, water can enter the engine room, so that there is a possibility that water contacts the connection portion between the terminal fitting and the electric wire. When water contacts the connection portion, the terminal fitting and the core wire made of a metal material are corroded. For example, when metal members different from each other are connected, such as when the terminal fitting is made of copper and the core wire is made of aluminum, corrosion is particularly likely. Therefore, the electric wire with a terminal metal fitting described in Patent Document 1 covers a heat shrinkable tube around the connection portion. By covering the heat-shrinkable tube in this way, water does not soak into the connecting portion of the electric wire with terminal fitting from the periphery thereof.
The heat-shrinkable tube is put on the connection portion between the terminal fitting and the electric wire before being heat-shrinked (that is, before heat treatment). At this time, the unheated heat-shrinkable tube is covered while its position is adjusted so as to surround the connecting portion. The heat-shrinkable tube is heat-treated in such a state that the position is adjusted (that is, positioned). By this heat treatment, the heat-shrinkable tube is heat-shrinked to be in close contact with the connection portion, and is attached to the electric wire.
By the way, there is a problem that the position of the heat-shrinkable tube may be shifted after being positioned on the electric wire with terminal fitting. In the unheated state, the inner diameter of the heat shrinkable tube is set to be large to some extent. For this reason, even if the heat shrinkable tube is positioned, there is a gap between the heat shrinkable tube and the connection portion, so that the position is easily displaced from the connection portion.
Further, even when the unheated heat-shrinkable tube that has been positioned and covered has a certain degree of elasticity in that state and is in close contact with the connecting portion, the heat-shrinkable tube will be removed over time. The heat-shrinkable tube may naturally move and shift due to the elastic force (restoring force) of the tube itself. The heat treatment may be performed immediately after the heat-shrinkable tube is covered, or may be performed after a certain amount of time. Therefore, the position shift of the heat shrinkable tube as described above is a problem.
In addition, when the electric wire covered with the heat shrinkable tube is moved, the heat shrinkable tube may receive a force by contacting with a surrounding object, and as a result, the position may be shifted.
Accordingly, it is desired that the heat-shrinkable tube once positioned and covered does not shift from the connection portion. Similarly, the tube-shaped covering member other than the heat-shrinkable tube used in this type of electric wire with terminal metal fittings should not be displaced after being positioned over the electric wire with terminal metal fittings. It is rare.
The present invention has been completed based on the above-described circumstances, and it is easy to position by covering a cylindrical water-stop coating, and has excellent waterproofness, and a terminal fitting attached to the wire. The purpose is to provide.
The electric wire with terminal fitting according to the present invention includes a core wire, an electric wire having an insulating layer covering the outer periphery of the core wire so that the end of the core wire is exposed, and a shaft with both edges standing so as to form a groove inside. A bottom plate that extends along the direction and on which the end of the core wire is placed so that there is room on the front side, a pair of wire barrels that extend to both edges of the bottom plate, and a front plate that extends to the front side of the bottom plate A terminal fitting connected to the mating side, a terminal fitting which is crimped to the core wire and attached to the electric wire so that the wire barrel holds the core wire on the bottom plate, and the rear portion from the margin portion And a tubular water stop coating for enclosing the terminal fitting together with the exposed insulating layer at the base of the core wire, the electric wire with the terminal fitting, and standing on both edges of the bottom plate of the margin portion So long and slender Having a protrusion, the protrusion, characterized in that pierce the waterproofing coating.
The electric wire with terminal fittings has protrusions that are elongated so as to stand upright on both edges of the bottom plate of the margin portion, and the protrusions pierce the water blocking coating. The coating is positioned using the protrusion.
In the electric wire with terminal fitting, it is preferable that the protruding portion is folded down so as to press the water stop coating in a state where the water stop cover is pierced. Thus, when the said projection part is folded down, it will be suppressed that the said water stop coating remove | deviates from the said projection part, and position shifts. Further, when the protrusion is folded, the protrusion is prevented from being caught unnecessarily with respect to surrounding objects.
In the electric wire with terminal fitting, the terminal fitting preferably has guide portions that are adjacent to the rear side of the protruding portion and inclined toward the tip of the protruding portion on both edges of the bottom plate of the margin portion. . When the guide portion is provided in this way, it is easy to guide the waterproof coating to the tip of the protrusion.
In the electric wire with terminal fitting, it is preferable that the guide portion is folded down within the water blocking coating. Thus, when the guide part is folded down in the waterproof coating, it is suppressed that the guide part protrudes outside the waterproof coating, and an increase in outer diameter is also suppressed.
In the electric wire with the terminal fitting, a water stop wall is provided in the room portion of the terminal fitting so as to close the groove and be accommodated in the water blocking coating, and an outer surface is in close contact with the inner surface of the water blocking coating. Is preferred. When such a water stop wall is provided, the water that travels from the front side of the terminal fitting is blocked by the water stop wall. Therefore, water can be prevented from entering the connecting portion between the terminal fitting and the electric wire.
In the electric wire with terminal fitting, the terminal fitting may include an insulation barrel that holds the insulating layer of the electric wire.
In the electric wire with terminal fitting, the metal constituting the core wire and the metal constituting the terminal fitting may be different.
In the electric wire with terminal fitting, it is preferable that an adhesive layer or an adhesive layer is formed on the inner peripheral surface of the water blocking coating. When the adhesive layer or the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is formed on the inner peripheral surface as described above, the water blocking coating can be easily adhered to the connection portion of the electric wire and the terminal fitting.
In the electric wire with terminal fitting, the water stop coating may be formed of a heat shrinkable tube.
The terminal fitting according to the present invention is attached to the end of an electric wire having a core wire and an insulating layer covering the outer periphery of the core wire so that the end of the core wire is exposed, and has a cylindrical shape at a connection portion with the electric wire. A terminal fitting covered with a water-stop coating, extending along the axial direction with both edges standing so as to form a groove on the inside, and a bottom plate on which the end of the core wire is placed so that a margin part is formed on the front side; A pair of wire barrels that are extended to both edges of the bottom plate and are crimped to the core wire so as to hold the core wire on the bottom plate, and a tip portion that extends to the front side of the bottom plate and is connected to the counterpart side And having protrusions that are elongated so as to stand on both edges of the bottom plate of the margin portion.
Since the terminal fitting has protrusions that are elongated so as to stand on both edges of the bottom plate of the margin portion, the waterproof coating can be positioned using the protrusions.
It is preferable that the terminal fitting has guide portions that are provided on both edges of the bottom plate of the margin portion so as to be adjacent to the rear side of the protrusion and are inclined toward the protrusion. When the guide portion is provided in this way, it is easy to guide the waterproof coating to the tip of the protrusion.
According to the present invention, it is possible to provide an electric wire with a terminal metal fitting that is easy to position by covering with a cylindrical water-proof coating and that is excellent in waterproofness (waterproofing), and a terminal metal fitting attached to the electric wire.
<Embodiment 1>
The electric wire 1 with a terminal metal fitting which concerns on Embodiment 1 of this invention is demonstrated referring FIG. 1 thru | or FIG. As shown in FIG. 1 and the like, an electric wire 1 with a terminal fitting includes an

(Terminal fitting 3)
The
The
The
A pair of wire barrels 32 facing each other are provided on both edges of the
A pair of insulation barrels 34 are provided on both edges of the
The
The
The protruding
(Water barrier 4)
The
The resin processed
The resin processed
As shown in FIG. 5, a part of the
(Water-stop coating 5)
The
As described above, since the opening
In the present embodiment, the

(Manufacturing process)
Then, an example of the manufacturing process of the electric wire 1 with a terminal metal fitting which concerns on this embodiment is shown. First, a metal plate material is subjected to a punching process to form a band-shaped

In this punching step, a plurality of
A bending step is performed on the metal plate after the punching step. By this bending process, the
Next, a feed claw (not shown) is engaged with the
A heat treatment step (first heat treatment step) is performed on the terminal fitting piece 30 (terminal fitting 3) in which the
The terminal metal piece 30 (terminal metal fitting 3) after the heat treatment process has the end portion of the
As described above, after the end portion of the
In the present embodiment, in the crimping process, a cutting process for separating the
Next, as shown in FIGS. 11 and 12, an unheated cylindrical water-
Next, as shown in FIGS. 13 and 14, the peripheral edge portion (opening end portion 51) of the
Next, as shown in FIG. 15, the
After the positioning and the
By the above manufacturing process, the electric wire 1 with a terminal metal fitting in which the connecting portion is surrounded by the cylindrical
In addition, since the cylindrical water-

<
The electric wire 1B with terminal fitting according to the third embodiment will be described with reference to FIGS. FIG. 17 shows a terminal fitting 3A used in the present embodiment. The
The
Further, as shown in FIG. 18, by using a jig 7 disposed above the
