Abstract
【解決手段】 液晶シャッター素子は、第1の透明基板と、前記第1の透明基板上に形成された第1の透明電極と、前記第1の透明基板に対向する第2の透明基板と、前記第2の透明基板上に形成される微小プリズムと、前記微小プリズム上に形成される第2の透明電極と、前記第1及び第2の透明基板間に挟まれ、コレスティックブルー相を示す液晶分子を有する液晶層と、前記第1又は第2の透明基板と平行に配置され、直行光を通過させ、斜行光を遮るルーバーとを有する。

Claims (3)
- 第1の透明基板と、
前記第1の透明基板上に形成された第1の透明電極と、
前記第1の透明基板に対向する第2の透明基板と、
前記第2の透明基板上に形成される微小プリズムと、
前記微小プリズム上に形成される第2の透明電極と、
前記第1及び第2の透明基板間に挟まれ、コレスティックブルー相を示す液晶分子を有する液晶層と、
前記第1又は第2の透明基板と平行に配置され、直行光を通過させ、斜行光を遮るルーバーと
を有する液晶シャッター素子。 - 前記微小プリズムの断面形状は、斜辺が前記第2の透明基板より立ち上がる直角三角形状であり、一定のピッチで前記斜辺の傾きが逆転する請求項1記載の液晶シャッター素子。
- 前記ルーバーは、光透過部材と遮光部材とを前記微小プリズムの一定ピッチの2倍のピッチで交互に配列して形成される請求項2記載の液晶シャッター素子。
